Look no further for that mountain experience - quiet and serene on 1.5 acres with all the amenities, including satellite TV. Built almost 40 years ago, this beautiful cabin has been lovingly refurbished with up-to-date furnishings. A small private nearby lake (Lakewood Park Lake) is available for your use.       Beautiful area

      Left on 10/28/2012 for a stay in September 2012

      This property is in a great location (very quiet) and the cabin was beautiful. We loved the large deck area. My complaints would be the showerheads were so low we had to bend down to get our heads under the water and some of the utensils needed updating in the kitchen because they were rusting and unusable. I would consider staying here again but I didn't like the $100 cleaning fee.

      Nice place, but not close enough to the water

      Wouldn't want to go again to either of this year's houses, because they're too far from the lake. I'm 80 and Carl is 84, and it wasn't possible for him to walk that distance over to the lake. He was disappointed, because he likes to walk back and forth once or twice a day.. In the 2nd house, our kids and grandkids were back and forth all day long, of course, and they'd also much appreciate being closer. The rest of our vacation was fine, as it always is at Twain Harte!

      Parking was a little tricky especially after snowing or icy conditions. Shoveling snow out of the driveway is a must before it freezes.

      Cabin had personal clothing in drawers and closets - did not feel comfortable taking my clothes out of suitcase. Also, freezer was full of food - was not available for our use. I prefer to rent houses that do not have other people's personal items.
