Greensburg, KentuckyBest family vacation ever!

Tybee Island, Georgia is a great place for families and we had a great condo to stay in. We were ocean front with three bedrooms and bathrooms and a beautiful large family area with books, movies, games and so much more. If all we did was stay in the condo and on the beach, we would have had a great time because of the caring owners who put their renter's needs first. We were even greeted with a platter of chocolate chip cookies when we arrived and a beautiful plant to take home as a remembrance. The owners even called and asked if everything was ok plus they had everything needed for the beach...boogie boards, sand buckets, chairs, even a cart. Besides the beach we visited Tybee Island Lighthouse, Fort Pulaski, The Pier and all the little shops...even loved their library. We ate at North Beach grill, Sugar Shack, Five Guys, Uncle Bubbas and Lady and Sons which were all fantastic. Savannah was only about 15 minutes away and at night was a great time to walk on the river walk or check out the many beautiful squares around the city. Our family ranged from 6 years of age to 52 and we all had our favorite parts but all agreed our condo was great! Ps Morning sunrises are a must...gorgeous and if you love shells...you will fall in love with Tybee Island just like we did. This was our second trip to the same condo and both times were fantastic!

My husband and I fell in love with Tybee Island in addition to Savannah, Georgia. Our condo on Tybee Island was perfect and had all the amenities you could ask for. The view of the ocean was gorgeous and in a quick walk, you were walking the ocean beach. We will be back.

Everything you need, away from home! Mind-blowing view from the condo balcony, comfy beds, and great stereo/DVD set-up for those lazy days and nights. Savannah's just a short trip away. The beach and scenery are gorgeous. We had a fantastic vacation!

The condo location is two blocks from several good restaurants. The property is perfect. Clean, comfy, well supplied and well decorated. It gets a 10+.
But more important is the quality of the people you are sending your money to. Sandy is a sweetheart and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. Thank you for a great experience! -

Windfall is spacious, immaculate, and direct oceanfront. We are repeat visitors once and sometimes twice a year going back almost 15 years. This March, there was new furniture, Tv's, hot tub and other upgrades. Best thing about Windfall however, is the owners. Very, very nice people who really care for their guests "Tybee time."
Easy access to Savannah, Fort Pulaski and other sites. But you may not want to leave Tybee Island at all. Our repeat visits speak for themselves, so needless to say, highly recommend Windfall by the Sea! -

It was wonderful to stay in your condo on the beach at Tybee. It is a place that is well equipped to cook in and for family fun. To be able to look at the ocean and see the many faces it presents each day as the weather changes is awesome. Thank you again for this wonderful opportunity. I hope many families and individuals will take this great opportunity to make memories. Sandy G.

Wow! More than we could have hoped for! Not only is Tybee a great place to vacation, the condo was amazing! Spacious, clean, well-equipped and right on the beach, this beautiful condo was just what the doctor ordered for a relaxing beach vacation. Highly recommend!

This is our sixth year staying at this condo. Each year we go back because of the friendliness of the owner, the cleanliness of the condo, and the quietness of the north beach. The condo is constantly updated and comfortable. It is very close to great restaurants and the lighthouse yet secluded and quiet.

Recently my husband and I rented a condo "Windfall by the Sea" on Tybee Island and had a wonderful experience.
I knew we had chosen the right place to stay from the moment we opened the door and found a plate of cookies and fresh flowers waiting for us along with an invitation to join Sandy (the owner) at her home for more information on Tybee Island.
The condo was the most well equipped place we have ever rented and we have been renting for 20 years. We found all the necessary spices, condiments and cleaning supplies you could ask for (usually we have to purchase these), more towels and spare sheets than you can imagine an abundance of clothes hangars, elevator and luggage rack made unloading and loading a breeze...the list could go on and on.
Our only complaint and it's a very minor one was the jets on one side of the hot tub needed repair and Sandy mentioned it when talking to us...hopefully it will be repaired soon and the directions to the condo indicate you should be looking for a "yellow" building, but it is green (would make finding it easier).
Location was great on the "quiet" North end of Tybee Island which was a definite plus for us and within walking distance of shopping and restaurants.
I would not hesitate to recommend Windfall By The Sea to anyone.
Sandy's love of the island is very evident in everything you find in the condo.

What a great home-base for our vacation on Tybee and in Savannah! The condo was incredibly well-kept and Sandy and John were perfect hosts. We arrived to chocolate chip cookies and flowers in the condo. They gave us good recommendations for site-seeing and allowed us use of kayaks for exploring the tidal creeks. We loved the jacuzzi on the balcony and used it every evening. One day we had a problem with the water in the jacuzzi and John was there first thing and fixed it right away, we didn't even miss any time with its use. The private walkway to the beach let us have quick access any time we wanted. Beach chairs were available in their beach closet along with other fun supplies for the sand and water. Our kids loved having their own space for the week. We would recommend Joe Richardson's Eco tour on the beach and Capt. Mike's Dolphin tours, as well as a stop at Fort Pulaski for some good history. Savannah is only 20 min away. Don't forget to take in the amazing sunrises right from your balcony and the sunsets from the north and south beaches on the island. You can also make a bit of a climb and catch the panoramic view from the top of Tybee light.

My family and I (5 adults total) stayed here the second week of May and we were very happy we did. We appreciated that Sandy, the condo's owner, is very hospitable and even gave her cell phone number in case we needed anything. The condo is spacious, very clean and well kept. Having 3 bathrooms is wonderful when traveling with 3 women! The patio is a peaceful place to eat your meals or just relax and watch the ocean with dolphins often swimming by. The 9 unit building was full several of the days we were there but there was never excessive noise. And because there is a walkway that is for use only by that building and the neighboring building the beach was not crowded at all. The 2 public beach access walkways that are nearby are far enough away that you feel like the beach is all yours!

This was actually our second trip. Two years earlier we took our daughter, her husband our two grandsons (5-8) in May. It was perfect. Privacy for all and with the master suite in the front, quiet for grandma and grandpa. We cooked almost all meals in and had everything we needed. The boys had a wonderful time on the beach and sightseeing on Typbee and the Savannah area. The april trip included us and 3 adult friends. Worked very well. Everyone was comfortable and able to enjoy the Tybee experience in these wonderful surroundings.

All of us were pleasantly surprised when we first walked into Windfall by the Sea. It was spacious, very clean, and even had a plate of delicious cookies waiting for us! The girls were ecstatic when they realized that there were three bathrooms---all with showers. My wife and I enjoyed the twin sinks and walk-in shower in the master bath. The hot tub on the balcony was a big hit for all.
The beach was great. The ocean temperature was mild and the waves were just right. Seeing the Tybee Island light house from the beach every day was pretty special. Seeing the beach from atop the Tybee Island light house was even better!
All in all, the location was perfect and we had all the comforts of home. We had an excellent time.

We've stayed in Windfall for years with friends for St. Patrick's week. Went back this year in May with our son and family and they're "hooked" also. You won't find nicer people than Sandy & John Major. The condo is large, comfortably furnished, and immaculate. Only problem we've had in all those years was the disposal caused a sink back up (our fault!) and Sandy had someone there in an hour to fix it! Location would be hard to beat anywhere. Direct beach front, roomy balcony in historic Fort Screven on the quiet north end of Tybee Island. Very close to the Savannah River ship channel We all enjoy watching the huge container ships (sounds dull- it isn;t). The island is rich in history and Fort Pulaski is a short drive. Good restaurants on Tybee (don't miss the Breakfast Club) and easy to get into Savannah.
The whole area is very Military friendly, so anyone with ties to the armed Forces will feel especially welcome.
Suppose there has to be one "complaint." Wine glasses keep disappearing, so bring your own and enjoy a nice wine on the balcony. Take your glasses home for your next visit to Windfall. You will want to go back, but "hands off St. Patrick's week!"
