We loved the rental! The condo was beautifully decorated and very clean. Our group loved that we could open the doors to the deck, feel the breeze and hear the ocean while we were lounging in the condo. The access to the beach was great - we took a walk each morning. Wish we were back there already

I have rented several times from Tybee Vacation Rentals and am always more than satisfied with not only their rental properties but with the company itself. This particular rental is an ideal location and has a delightful wrap around porch affording views of the sea in all directions.
Our last visit was a stormy one but it didn't matter one bit. The condo is comfortable enough that you won't mind be inside.

Our family stayed at this condo for Easter weekend and had a wonderful time!! The pictures do not do this condo justice!! Everything was clean and it was decorated beautifully!! Our favorite part were all of the windows looking out to the ocean!! We spent a lot of time on the deck which had really comfy adirondack furniture!! You cannot beat the location which is right down the street from many of the restaurants and shops as well as across the street from the beach!!! Our teenage boys went to play soccer on the beach and we were able to watch them from the deck!! We will definitely be renting this condo again!!!

Booking vacations with Tybee Vacation Rentals is always simple. The office staff is organized and friendly. Porpoise point condos are spacious, well maintained and equipped well. I was able to boil the fresh caught shrimp and also bake a cake while there. Being right on the ocean, near the pier and shops made our stay even more enjoyable. Sitting on the spacious deck playing guitars was our favorite way to watch the sunset

Let me start out by saying this condo has a perfect location close to the pier, shopping and restaurants. It was a perfect size for our family of six and the view is amazing. The kitchen is nicely stocked and the beds were cozy. We loved everything about this condo.
The problems we had were with TVR. We were not provided the door code upon check-in and the key we were given did not work or the lock was broken. We were locked out of our unit for over an hour close to midnight (late arrival) and when I called, someone told me that maintenance would be over in 5 minutes. That never happened. Instead I received a text from TVR with the door code after numerous phone messages left on the after hours voicemail.
Secondly, I took advantage of a great service that the local IGa provides by delivering groceries to your unit so they are waiting when you arrive. When we finally were able to get in our unit, there was only a loaf of bread waiting for us. The next morning I called IGa and they confirmed that they did deliver our groceries while the cleaning staff was there. Apparently the cleaning people took our groceries with them when they finished cleaning our unit. This was extremely disappointing! Tvr told us they would look into it and no one ever called me back. Iga was nice enough to let us replace the missing items at no extra charge.
Overall, this was a good vacation and I would recommend Tybee Island to anyone. -

We loved our vacation home - it was exactly the way the pictures described it. It had plenty of room for our family and everything we needed. Beds were extra comfortable too! Our favorite part -- the high stools on the porch/deck. Loved the 3rd floor and being able to sit and watch out over the water. We will always remember Tybee Island as the place our kids got engaged -- we will definitely be back!

Our stay at Tybee Beach was a wonderful 5 day get away and quite relaxing. For the most part, the rental at Porpoise Point lived up to my expectations. Beautiful view of the Beach from the covered deck. The rooms were updated with modern furnishings and the beds slept quite comfortably. Do wish the 3rd bedroom had at least one full size bed in the room instead of 2 bunk bed twins. My 6ft 19 yr old son found it a bit confining. Nice having flat screen tv's in all the bedrooms and an elevator to tote our belongings to the 3rd floor room. A very good rental overall. The only negatives were that the garage door opener didnt work. Went back to the main office and got another opener, and it only worked for one of the 2 spaces, which was too small to accomodate our SUV or Full size truck anyway. Ended up parking in the back which worked out better as it was closer to the elevator. The mini fridge on the deck did not work, nor did the room telephone. The lock on the dead bolt door was quite complicated and we always seemed to have trouble getting in the room. These are the only reasons that I didnt give the Rental an excellent rating. Our total cost for the rental was about 2 grand which seemed high compaired to Myrtle Beach or the Outer Banks which is about 1/2 the cost, but was right in line with the other rentals in Tybee. I guess the farther south you go, the higher the cost. Overall though, It was one of the better rentals for the area and I would stay there again if we came back.

Think of your best vacation on steroids. The condo is well appointed with an extraordinary panoramic view encompassing the pier, the beach and the ocean. The balcony is twice the size of the suite we've booked for a summer cruise. Restaurants, shopping, and lounges are footsteps away.

Everything we Hoped For

We researched several places and rental agencies before deciding on this one. Going into this we had a short list of what we wanted/needed: A True Beach view, located next to beach and easy walk to it, could sleep up to 8 people and have at least 2 bathrooms, Wi-Fi. And then it would be nice to have covered parking and a DVD player too with decent TV! This condo has it all, and more. Because it's been updated, it is in great shape but it also has a great location near pier, and "downtown" Tybee shopping. Since we were there in middle of March just before high season jumped into gear, it was also like having the island to ourselves somewhat (especially early morning and late afternoon). And I have to admit, I saw some of the prettiest sunrises I have ever seen! The view from the top floor of this unit is awesome, and there are chairs that seat everyone there. We ranged in age from 14 to 50...and it was perfect for us all. I will definitely want to stay here next time I'm in town.
Also, Tybee Vacation Rentals was easy to do business with, and everything was as specified. Thanks to all for our wonderful vacation! -

this was our sister trip and we enjoyed many hours sitting on the huge balconny watching the ocean, the dolphins and 2 weddings! Perfect location! The only thing I did not care for was the bunk beds, but I am sure children would enjoy them. Everything else was clean and very spacious! We will rent it again!

We had a great time. The view from the porch was relaxing, especially at night. We could watch a hurricane that was way off shore and view the lightning while only a slight breeze blew by. The beach was easy to get to. The children liked the bunk beds. The off shore sand bar made a gentle tidal pool for the younger children at low tide and the high tide brought fun for the older children. It was a short walk to the handicap access to the beach, which helped with the little ones.

Our condo at Porpoise Point #6 was tastefully decorated and clean. Our favorite feature was it's location, right on the beach with fantastic views. The 3 cousins (all girls intent on getting a tan) could go down to the beach whenever they wanted so we didn't have to drive them. We liked the proximity to Savannah, always a great place to visit. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and Tybee Vacation Rentals came right away when we called for burnt out light bulbs and a replacement coffee pot. They couldn't have been nicer.

I was a bit concerned when I pulled up to the building because the paint on the outside was a bit weathered, Once I walked in the property I was pleasantly suprised, it was actually nicer than the on-line photos. I will go back to this property again. We had my wife and I and 6 college age teenagers and there was plenty of room. The kids loved being right across the street from the beach.
