Lockport, IlTybee is awesome!
Left on 10/12/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Great fun and best way to see is on bikes. My friend and I stayed for three days and enjoyed the local cuisine and island people. Had a great time and will definitely come back. The unit we rented at beach racquet club did not have an oven so we had to change our cooking plans as rental property description did not divulge this information. Had fun shopping and dolphin watching.
Response from Tybee Vacation Rentals - 10/12/2012
Manager
We agree that the best way to see the island is by riding your bike. It's great to hear that you had fun watching the dolphins and that you found our fabulous restaurants. In the property description, it does say that Beach and Racquet A113 has no oven but it does have a toaster oven, a built-in microwave oven, and built-in smooth-top stove to allow our guests some cooking options. We hope you'll come back to Tybee and if an oven is needed, we'll gladly recommend a property for you that has one.

First of all, booking this condo to my surprise was extremely easy. Our previous reservations got mixed up and I had to look for other accommodations so the beginning was very pleasant.
The location of the condo was very nice we loved being close to the beach. The condo was comfortable, however, we found out when we were attempting to make coffee that the pot had not been cleaned for a while, there was mold growing in the coffee that was left in the pot, we also realized that the toaster oven had not been cleaned for a while, I started to contact the office but thought that it would probably be faster to just clean them ourselves and move on which is what we did. However, we feel that because these items were left unclean it contributed to the roaches that came out the first and 3rd night we were there. Again, we purchased roach spray and sprayed and wipe all surfaces down with Lysol and sprayed Lysol both nights and moved on. We are a group that doesn't let very much rain on our parade. (Smile). We reported this to the office upon checking out.
Other than these minor issues, our vacation at Tybee Island was so much fun and we look forward to visiting again. I will, however, when booking the next time remind the office staff of these previous issues and ask if the condo we use be thoroughly cleaned.

Great location to beach and pool. Absolutely loved playing in the in the river and the beach area was not crowded. Clean, nice condo with great amenities. Liked being on first floor. The only thing I would have liked was an oven for additional cooking options. Definitely not a deal breaker! Would go back to same location again!

We love Savannah Beach and Racquet Club. Our condo was very comfortable, well appointed, very clean and close to the beach. This is our fifth stay at Sbrc with TVR and we have always been very satisfied with the staff at TVR. Great restaurants are close by like aj's Dockside and The Crab Shack. The pool was spotless and the shell hunting on the beach was great.Tybee Island has lots of interesting events all year. We had lots of fun at The Water Parade.

One thing that I love about Tybee is the natural wildlife that exists on its beaches. Growing up in pa and going to New Jersey for the beach, we didn't get a chance to see dolphins, crabs, fish, and turtles in their natural element. With a 5 and 3 year old, they were amazed by watching the animals do their thing.

We had a great time on Tybee. The unit was great and very comfortable. The only issue we had was the last night the power was out and there were no screens on the windows or doors so we could not open up the house to cool it down, there were a ton of mosquitoes outside. When we come again we will stay with Tybee Vac. rentals again. Begin on the beach was great and we loved beeing able to walk out and be on the beach.

We traveled from atlanta and stayed for 4 nights during the week, from Monday to Friday morning. We stayed in a113, which is a 1 BR with a partial ocean view, and ground level access to the pool and the beach. We have 3 kids, so the 3 year old and 5 year old slept in the bunk beds, (which were cute but could use a rail on the top bunk)and the baby in the bedroom in her pack n play. Check in was fast friendly and easy, we even stayed an extra night, which was given to us at a discount. Overall we like this place allot, we have stayed here before, and it's consistently a great value. We'll stay here again.

Our rental unit was perfect for a couple getaway, our unit was located within yards of the beach and the pool! We enjoyed the balcony and the view of the sunrise/sunset! Quiet neighbors and away from the hustle and bustle of South Beach but convenient enough to hop in the car and enjoy downtown tybee! Thank you for such a pleasant visit! You have certainly gained a life long customer!

The condo was great! Close to the beach, pool and parking lot. Everything was fabulous EXCEPT the terrible smell of the water. Everytime we turned on a faucet an awful stench permeated the entire condo. It smelled of sulfur. The smell was horrible.

Our family had a great time. The condo was the perfect location if you have kids. Overlooked the pool and very convienant for fast trips to the room for lunch or a quick nap, but close enough to walk out and see the sunrise!

Our stay at Tybee was great! A quite time of the year - just what we were looking for. Long strolls on the beach, but no fish to catch. We would recommend the unit we stayed in - every thing two people would need was provided.
