LOUISBURG, NCAffordable and cozy
Left on 10/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Picking up keys and getting to apartment was easy. Staff was very friendly and willing to help.Clean and no odors. Bed was comfortable. You can see the ocean from the deck. Had most everything you need for every day living. Tv in bedroom and living room. No need to drive as most everything you need is walking distance. Fishing off the pier was fun and the guy who runs the fishing equipment rental booth is extremely helpful and friendly. The beach is clean and low tide is amazing see and a good time to take a walk. About 18 miles or less and your in Savahnna. Great historic area. Take a tour, you will learn a lot.
Negatives, needs a little maintenance such as touch up paint and minor repairs to door knobs, shower door and window locks. Resturaunt in front makes a lot of noise at closing time for about twenty minutes. -

I really hate to hear anyone found anything dirty in one of our properties. We do have certified housekeepers and inspectors who diligently work to see that our guests start their stay off on the right foot. If they miss something (I guess we are all human and it can happened from time to time) we like to know right away so we can make it right. We also call all of our guests the morning after their arrival to confirm that everything meets their expectations so if there are any issues we can correct them right away. That is what a professional management company does – we’re available 24 hours in case our guests need us.
The location of Fannies 4 is not for everyone. As we advertise it on our website (Perfect for couples who want to be right by the main beach, restaurants, bars, and shops.) it is in the heart of the action on Tybee. The great thing about Tybee is it offers locations for everyone. For couples who prefer a more reserved and quiet location we would recommend properties on the north end of the beach. It is more of a residential area, away from the action, but still offers the same charm of our little beach community.
We sincerely hope you will return to our island. Next time let our experienced reservation agents know your desires so they can guide you to the place that would be perfect for you!

Great location with a 1 minute walk to the beach, restaurants, etc.. Most importantly - right behind the Pier/Pavillion which is awesome in the evenings, watching the tides and the surfers. Very nice to park and not get back in the car for three days:) The apartment is older, so there were a few minor maintenance issues, but nothing interrupting our vacation. It was also clean for the most part. Outstanding customer service from the Tybee Vacation Rental staff. The only drawback was lack of washer/dryer in/near unit, but we knew that going in.

Fannies Guest Suite 4 is like a home away from home. It felt like our own little apartment that you can see the ocean from the porch and front door! It had everything we could want. It was in walking distance to everything including the beach. It felt private even though there is a lot going on around where you are. I would love to stay here every time we visit Tybee Island.

Atlanta, GAGreat place for a weekend away!
Left on 05/09/2012 for a stay in May 2012
The guest suite exceeded my expectations. We had the necessary amenities without being overloaded. Less than a block from the beach, the location was great! Although there was some noise from Fannie's restaurant, it wasn't enough to be a bother. While staying in the guest suite, we had a few questions and the staff was extremely helpful. I will definitely check out this place again next year! Hopefully there will be less fees though!

Left on 04/26/2012 for a stay in March 2012
After 5 days in Savannah, we changed our plans and decided to head to Tybee Island, instead of Charleston, as originally planned. we booked this location on very short notice.
The guest services folks were wonderful--friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. Our rental was ready a little early, and they had no problem letting us check in.
The property is located behind a restaurant. There are pros and cons to the location. It is very close to the beach, literally 2 minutes, and liquor, convenience stores, "shopping" (all the stores sell the same junk, so there really isn't much shopping in Tybee) and restaurants. The downside is that the fans from the restaurant were a bit noisy, and I imagine in the peak season, the noise from the main drag would be a bit loud too. That said, we really aren't fussy, and it didn't bother us.
The suite was clean, nicely laid out, and well appointed. Again, we really appreciated it's location as we could just leave the car parked and walk everywhere. The cable TV didn't work so great, but we don't even have cable at home, so that wasn't a big deal for us either.
We would stay here again. Good value. -

Left on 12/16/2011 for a stay in November 2011
Our first time on Tybee Island - really enjoyed the quiet of the off season. Beach walked, explored the lighthouse, and Fort Pulaski - and the Sundae Cafe.
We will come back, maybe a bit earlier in the autumn, and perhaps to use Tybee as a jumping off spot to explore Savannah. -

Our cottage was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. It was also close to the beach and restaurants. It was perfectly located and very reasonably priced. The kitchen is small - - not much room to prepare food, but I'm not complaining.

Left on 07/18/2011 for a stay in July 2011
This condo was in a great location. We could see a partial view of the beach/pier from the outside deck. The biggest suprise was staying right behind a busy restaurant that has live music and not being able to hear a thing inside the condo, but nice to listen to the music relaxing on the deck. This was our first condo stay and it was nice for the price.

NYExcellent location but far overpriced
Left on 05/24/2011 for a stay in May 2011
As the title states, this rental property was an excellent location. Walk down the stairs, turn right in the alley and within a two minute walk you are on the beach.
Overall, the rental property interior was beautiful, but there were some problems with the stay.
We found hairs throughout the rental property... one black hair and one brown hair in the shower the very first day we checked in. We also found a hair in one of the bowls. Our second night, we also discovered a cockroach in the living room. With a check in no earlier than 4pm, this should have been plenty time for the maid to clean the room thoroughly. Also, with such a late check in time, we were forced to get a late start. The "balcony" was also unimpressive, consisting of a view of the back side of a restaurant, and air conditioner units blowing hot air to our location. Loud, and not in the least bit romantic. With this being said, it is also not worth having dinner on the balcony, as there is not a big enough table provided.
With these issues, I believe that the property was overpriced. For the problems we had, $150.00 a night is not worth it. Additionally, we were charged a $75.00 non-refundable pet fee for two cats and various other fees that brought the bill for three nights to about $600.00. This is a way to gouge and profit off guests, as I told the reservation attendant. If you are going to charge a security deposit for pets, make it returnable if there is no damage... don't profit off people simply because they chose to stay at a place that allows pets.
If I could have done it again, I would have gotten a hotel off Tybee Island and drove to the beach. I have stayed at many resorts, and the island town itself was not that impressive compared to Savannah. For the price we paid, I expected much, much more from this place. Do yourself a favor and save your money and drive to Tybee... you can see everything in a day and not get gouged by staying at an overpriced beach house.

THE APARTMENT ITSELF WAS CLEAN AND SUFFICIENT
FOR OUR NEEDS. WE WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO PUT
A PATIO SET OUTSIDE UPSTAIRS SO THAT WE COULD ENJOY
THE DECK AND VIEW MORE. ALSO, THE DOOR (BACK)
NEEDS TO BE UPDATED. IT SOMETIMES ACTED LIKE
IT DIDN'T WANT TO SHUT OR LOCK. WE ALOS NEVER
FOUND THE OUTSIDE TRASHBIN.
OVERALL, WE LOVED THE PLACE AND WOULD STAY

Left on 06/04/2009 for a stay in May 2009
The unit itself is very nice. It's like having your own one bedroom apartment! It is very nicely decorated and very comfortable for one or two people.
Being directly behind Fannies though is one downside as the view of the back of the bar is not very pleasant. Also, the nights they had the live music until 1 am were very loud. For someone younger and there to party, it would be a perfect location. But Tybee is a wonderful place to visit and I really did enjoy my time there. -

TNOk place - terrible company and people
Left on 06/02/2009 for a stay in May 2009
The problem was someone from the rental company used the apartment below us as an office. She came up within the first few minutes we were unpacking and told us that we were 'moving furniture'. We explained that we were unpacking and she told us we were lying. She stayed every night working in the office until > 12pm. Terrible experience. I would not recommend renting from this company.

I apologize that you had such a negative experience during your stay. The person that you interacted with was not a representative of Tybee Vacation Rentals, but rather the owner of Fannie's Guest Suites. She maintains an office for her restaurant there. I have forwarded your complaint to her attention. We would hope that any guest who encountered a situation such as this would contact our office immediately so we could take steps to resolve it and ensure that they had a quality vacation experience. We have never received a complaint about the owner's office before and hope that a situation like this never happens again.

Atlanta, GAClean & Comfortable
Left on 04/21/2009 for a stay in April 2009
This apartment is located behind Fannie's restaurant so it's perfect in terms of location to the beach and pier. Only downside is your view is the rear of the restaurant (grease traps, smoking employees, etc.).
Overall the place was very comfortable and offered all the amenities I was looking for.
The office staff was helpful when I discovered the original unit I rented was not a 1-bedroom like I thought, but was actually a studio apartment. The way the units are categorized online can be misleading this way. When I called to make a change, the office staff was able to place me in this unit, in the same building, but has an actual separate bedroom. I was dismayed at being given a studio at first, but they were helpful in correcting that.
There is no central heat or air, which was ok for April but I could see it being really hot in there during the summertime. There is one window AC unit and one heater in both the bedroom and living room. There are remote controlled ceiling fans as well that work nicely.
Once I was assigned a 1 bedroom instead of a studio, this turned out to be exactly what I needed. The place was clean and the office staff were helpful - I'd definitely consider staying here again if/when I come back to Tybee for vacation. -

This property is clean, comfortable and convenient to all the Tybee night life. It is also convenient to the beach and restaurants. The only thing negative I can say about this property is, being behind Fannies restaurant, it can get pretty loud between 8pm and 1am. So, if you like going to bed early, don't rent the property. However, if you are there for convenience and FUN, RENT IT!!!

Knoxville, TNWithin walking distance to everything
Left on 11/28/2008 for a stay in September 2007
Everything was clean, updated and very comfortable. I felt like I was staying over at someone's home rather than in a rental property. This property had ups and downs. You can't really see the ocean well unless you stand at a certain place on the balcony because everything is blocked by the restaurant (Spankys?) in front of you. If you don't mind not seeing the ocean but hearing it, it's no big deal. The good thing is that the location is right in the middle of Tybee and, despite Spanky's - you really are steps to the beach. You can walk easily to anything in downtown Tybee or to the pier. The back of Spanky's is RIGHT in front of the balcony and it can get a little loud at night if you aren't a night owl. Also, you constantly smell the food they are cooking because the grease disposal is only a few feet away from your balcony. That's mostly outside though. But, then again, if you're hungry, you don't have to walk far for food!
Everything was clean. Parking was not an issue. The kitchen was small but very functional. I would recommend this location for couples or a couple and a friend or one child. (Friend on the futon in the living room).
I would stay there again, but for the same price, you might be able to find something without restrictions on your view of the beach and a little more peace and quiet if you want to sleep before 2 AM. Oh, and take your eye mask because there is a BRIGHT street light outside of the bedroom that stays lit throughout the night.
Overall, I would stay there again if I had to but would prefer to be in a quieter place where I can see the ocean for the same price. -

Left on 11/25/2008 for a stay in July 2008
This was the first time that we stayed at a condo. It was in a great location to the beach. Everything was in walking distance. We didn't have to move our car. This is one thing that we were glad of because parking is a big issue for the Tybee area.
The condo was very clean. It had all the things that you needed just like home. We enjoyed it very much. Didn't have to spend alot of money on food because we cooked in the the kitchen which sved on going out to eat all the time.

I enjoyed the stay and the property. The only down fall was that you looked out at the back of a restaurant where they placed all of their trash. You had to look between the restaurant and another building to see the beach. But was quiet and everything in the property was nice and up to date.
