      Relaxing

Left on 08/21/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Tybee Vac Rentals staff were very friendly-called me at home the day after I made the reservation to see if I had any questions about anything. The location was great-on the quiet north side of Tybee Island. The two pools were very nice. The condo was in great shape, although we thought the master bedroom was a little small. Our balcony overlooked the beach, which was wonderful. The outside stairs were very steep and were slippery in the rain. Definitely not fit for the handicapped or anyone who has trouble climbing stairs and hauling luggage. It was nice to have a designated parking space right next to the stairs, though. We were a little concerned at first that the gate at the supposedly gated community was always up, but the area around the condo community seemed quiet and safe. In fact, the condos are very close to the Tybee Island police station. We loved the fact that the pool was open to 10 pm. The condos are on the north end of the island, only minutes from the main road leading to Savannah. The Savannah historic district was only 20 minutes away. This is a great family place. I wouldn't call it luxurious, but it was very nice-granite counters in the kitchen, washer/dryer, flat screen tv, 2 bathrooms. The unit was very clean and well maintained. I have trouble sleeping in hotel beds because they never seem comfortable enough, but the bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable.

      So relaxing!

Left on 07/13/2012 for a stay in June 2012

The service we received was excellent from the first call that was made to TRV till we checked out! If we had any questions during our stay they were very helpful. Our Condo was very clean and well maintained. It is located right on the beach. They beach is very private, they also have pools for the ones that are not to fond of the beach. We love having our own kitchen to fix our breakfast. Open the balcony door, drink our coffee and watch the dophins play!

      Need updating and maintenance

Left on 10/26/2011 for a stay in September 2011

View was outstanding, condo was large. However, there were stains on the ceiling, layers of dust in the aC vents, had a musty smell.

      Brilliant Property

Left on 09/20/2011 for a stay in September 2011

Expectations exceeded. The property itself was lovely and our entire stay was brilliant. We will be returning to this same condo next year. Great staff.
The 49 stairs up to the place were a bit cumbersome at times (toddler, beach equipment, etc), but with foresight enough to limit trips, did not detract from our stay at all.
By the way, tried to rate 5 stars but site disallowed.

Beautiful location but in need of Maintenance.

Left on 08/01/2011 for a stay in July 2011

The location was incredible and all dealings with TVR were completely satisfactory but property was in need of some TLC. Shelf in TV cabinet was missing a support bracket, which made it unusable. Master Bathtub had crack in floor. We were worried about it leaking into condo below. Bi-fold door in Master closet fell on my husband. Lamp on left-side of master bed was broken. The extra bedroom had a dropcord over the door instead of an available outlet (not good if you have young kids) and Wifi was iffy at best.
The view was fabulous and access to beach was really nice.Dolphin spotting and ship-watching from balcony became a must each day. Beautiful dining set, comfy if a little worn sofa and chair. Stained carpet. Place was cleaned well but seemed time-worn and unmaintained. It was for sale so maybe owner just isn't interested in up keep. Would stay here again but only if place got a good dose of above-mentioned TLC.

      Great vacation rental

Left on 05/31/2011 for a stay in May 2011

The condo was very nice and the view is wonderful. The location right on the beach is great and the beach in front of the condo was not crowded. The only issue I had is I got tired of the 3 story walk up because I went in and out often.

      Get away

Left on 10/21/2009 for a stay in October 2009

Had a wonderful, relaxing time. I wouldn't choose to stay anywhere except a place that was ocean-front and this small apartment fit the bill well. The beach was filled with birds and the nearby lighthouse was interesting and fun to explore.

      More than expected

Left on 10/15/2009 for a stay in October 2009

TVR made our visit easy and enjoyable. They far surpassed my expectations on the room and hospitality. From the moment I called to book the condo to the moment we checked out they were friendly and inviting and helpful. We had no problems with anything. The welcoming bag waiting on us in the condo was very helpful and I've already used the bag since I've been home. The place was clean and well stocked and there was nothing we wanted for. The view was magnificent and the beach was so close. We had never stayed in a beachfront condo before. This was our 5th time to visit the area in the last 15 years. We will definitely use them again.

We booked this condo sight unseen on the internet. It was just as described & more! When we arrived there was a welcome bag from Tybee Vacation Rentals filled with little things to make our stay nicer. We also received a phone call from the concierge checking on things a day after we arrived. The condo was very comfortable and the view from the balconey of the beach and ocean was awesome! We enjoyed our stay on Tybee Island very much. The only bummer is the long trek up to the third floor with no elevator, as long as you're in decent shape, it's not too much of a problem. We will definitely stay here again if we're in the area. Thank you TVR!

Some Maintenance Issues and Stale Smoke

Left on 07/13/2009 for a stay in June 2009

Tybee Vacation Rentals was great, but the condo was overall a little disappointing. It was a nice size, had nice amenities, was physically clean, and has a wonderful view. On the downside, it had a strong stale smoke odor, the carpet was pretty stained, the toilets flushed very poorly, but worst of all the patio doors were horrible. One door could not be opened at all and the second one required nearly double person force to open or close. The unit had a for-sale sign in the window, which may explain the lack of maintenance, but at over $200 a night, pretty much a let down.

The unit’s carpets have been cleaned. We apologize that we were not able to have the cleaning scheduled prior to your arrival. We are aware of the current state of the patio doors. Wonderful Surprise

Left on 01/11/2009 for a stay in December 2008

My wife and I visit places up and down the east coast 2 or 3 times a year . At the last minute , we decided to spend Christmas in Savannah this year . I contacted 3 vacation rental companies for a place . One still has not contacted me , LOL , one keep trying to put me in something I did not want , and finally we have Tybee Vacation Rentals . These are the friendliest and most professional people I have encountered to date , anywhere . The rental was just as described and they were so helpful . Even their choice for dinner the first night was right on the money . Sundae's was very good . Thanks for the heads up . If you are thinking of visiting Tybee , do yourself a favor and use the best , Tybee Vacation Rentals .

An All Around Great Place to Vacation

Left on 11/18/2008 for a stay in October 2008

Our unit was clean and spacious enough for four of us. I was impressed that a starter kit with dish soap, etc, were provided for us. The ammenities included a washer, dryer and dish washer in addition to the cable TV and internet access. The on site maintenance manager was friendly and helpful.
