      Super Convenient on Tybee

Left on 04/04/2013 for a stay in March 2013

We loved staying at Little House. We have two young kids, and they got a kick out having their own "Tybee Time" on the porch, and playing in the yard. Location was fantastic! Quick walk to the beach for sunrises, and right next to downtown.

We had seen other reviews that mentioned it was small. It was, but wasn't a problem for us. One thing that could have made the stay more enjoyable was high speed internet. We were fine checking email and searching for local events, but it was harder to stream video (netflix).

Great company! The office was super friendly, and they quickly answered the couple other questions we had during our stay.

      Wonderful time for all.

Left on 01/06/2013 for a stay in December 2012

My two brothers and I were very pleased with our trip to Savannah Beach. Also known as Tybee Island. We were there during the second week of December. Not a great time if you want to lay in the sun and swim in the ocean. But if you just want to relax, it is perfect. I made the reservations but arrived a day early in error. Tybee Vacation Rentals was so helpful and changed our reservations to correct the time. The Little House was less than a block from the beach. It was small but very clean and decorated nicely. There was more than enough room for the 3 of us. I would go back again.

This is an awesome little house. We rented it for Pirate's Fest and hope to stay there again next year. (Just wish they had some way to darken the master bedroom...way too bright early in the morning. May have to bring a blanket with me.) Front porch was my favorite place to hang out. Very clean. Loved, Loved, Loved it!

      Clean and Comfortable

Left on 07/26/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We had a great time at the "Little House". We cooked our meals there a couple of nights and had just about everything we needed (pots and pans, etc.) Next time I will probably bring my own skillet. The beds were clean and comfortable. That pretty much goes for the entire house. Very clean and well maintained. The bathroom and shower was a little small, but still very usable for our family of 6. I would have liked for it to have had a full length mirror. I believe it was advertised as having wi-fi, but it didn't. It did however have internet and all of the needed cables. We loved spending the evenings on the big front porch and watching everyone coming home from the beach. Only a block from the beach. Overall, I definitely stay here again. Our family loved it. It's a little jewel for sure. We'll be back.

Left on 05/27/2012 for a stay in May 2012

Well I didn't have a reservation. So i just walked in and told the friendly staff what I was looking for and they had me a place ready in 30 minutes. I liked the house and location. The locals really made me feel at home with good hospitality. Tybee is awesome if you have a fishing problem like I have. One of the things I enjoyed the most was shrimpen with the best shrimper on Tybee. All the restaurants have awesome food and make shure you get some cause its fresh and local. Friends don't friend's eat imported shrimp.I enjoyed my stay and can't wait to get back to live my dream life!

      Got shrimp!

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Little House. It was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated! There was just a short walk to the beach and they even had beach chairs for us to use! The front porch was great as you could feel the breeze coming in off the ocean. The only negative is the bathroom is very tiny but we made it work!

      Relaxing

Left on 07/10/2011 for a stay in May 2011

The best Vacation I've had in years. Have spent a lot of time in many places in Ga. Sc. NC. and Fl.in the last ten years.
The little house was like coming home after a long day out. You were home. The rooms were airy, clean, and relaxing.A very quiet porch where you can enjoy at 4 am or 8 pm. Everything was there for you except grocies.
The welcome bag was wonderful, and when my sister took mine home with her, the Girls gave me another.
Little House was just across the street from where my husband spent his young summers, so it also brought back memories.
Hopefully we will be able to spend next year there also. Longer the next time.
Thank you for a wonderful time in your house.

      Pleasant and convenient

Left on 06/27/2011 for a stay in June 2011

I did let the staff know.
The property was fine and what I expected.
      Small and cozy. cutely decorated
Convenient to the beach. Clean and set up nicely for guest.
But a neighboring Condo had a terrible sounding air conditioner; that effected our evening enjoyment when sitting ton the porch. It just wasn't the normal hum either. It was like it was broken.
The other thing I reported to the city as well..there is a demolished building that is an eye sore on 17th street a few house to east. You can tell its been there a while and makes that street look like a slum.
Property management need to look at those issues and alert other propety owners or the City, to step in and take care of things. Since tourism must be the biggest part of Tybees $. thanks Teresa Coffman

I would love to know if anyone actually follows up on my concerns. since I have reported to 4 people or this survey!

      Comfortable, delightful, & affordable.

Left on 07/13/2009 for a stay in June 2009

Little House was conveniently arranged by phone with Tybee Vacation Rentals after
describing what we wanted. Service on reaching Tybee
      was excellent.

We found everything the 2 of us needed with 2 bedrooms, outside shower, lots of lawn around, front porch, and within only a block and 1/2 of the south beach, nearby pier, stores & restaurants.

We liked being so close to the water with good Atlantic surf and the house itself with family history shared.

We missed not seeing and hearing the ocean from the house and felt the area to be more congested
with development, traffic, etc. than we prefer.
The one very small bathroom might be an impediment
for large-sized people or 4 to 6 in number. For us it worked fine.

      Perfect house for weekend getaway

Left on 05/13/2009 for a stay in May 2009

Although the house is exactly as it's name states, Little House was exactly what we needed. The home enveloped you with coziness, and made you feel as if you had lived there your entire life. The distance to the beach (90 yards) was perfect, and the location was just a short walk to downtown Tybee. I would definitely stay there again!

We just wanted to get out of our routine for a few days, and this was perfect. Small but cute. Very tidy. Nice big yarad for the kids. Walking distance to "downtown" Tybee and the beach. The bathroom is tiny, more like the head on a boat, but for a short vacation it wasn't a big deal.

      Great little cottage

Left on 11/25/2008 for a stay in February 2008

This is a delightful 1940's cottage. Fully restored but with a wonderfully nostalgic "real Tybee" feel. Its bright, cozy, and very clean. The offstreet parking, large front yard, and big deck are a huge plus. The location is ideal as its a short walk to the beach without having to cross busy Butler Avenue. I've rented this cottage 3 times over the last few years and suggested it to family members as well. We all feel its a little slice of paradise.

      interesting neighbors

Left on 11/18/2008 for a stay in May 2007

The home is nice - only big enough for two really, but fairly comfortable. The location would be terrific except that it is surrounded by other houses whose owners apparently allow parties of drunken teens. Each night we were there, we had drunk teenagers (these were NOT college age kids) running screaming through the yard of this home, only inches away from our windows. There was a lot of obscene language, loud threats, and fights. Screaching autos brough the scene to a crescendo. We met several permanent residents - a very friendly bunch - while we were waiting for the police. The most disheartening part was that the teens, including the one who slammed a girl in the face in front of multiple witnesses, was still at the house behind us the next morning.

This is a wonderful cottage and a terrific location near a delightful beach in a very friendly small town, but we won't be going back to Tybee until the laws there require property owners and/or renters to be accountalbe for their behavior. I know I never want my children to witness such vile behavior ever again.

      Tybee Vacation Rentals

      Manager

We're glad you enjoyed the Little House. The events that happened during your stay were definitely not what we wish our guests to experience on their vacations! We can assure you that Tybee's laws about under aged drinking are the same as elsewhere in the country. Tybee is a residential island with rental properties next door to private residents'. Unfortunately even the most peaceful places occasionally experience terrible incidences like the one you most regrettably did. We hope you will visit the island again and have a more positive experience.

Great location for winter months. Close to everything, beach, fishing and restaurants. Bathroom very small but managed for the month I stayed there. Was able to work comfortably with desk and internet access provided. Even though there was construction right next door, it was peaceful.

Second year I have spent month during winter here. Hope to do the same in 2009.
