Princeton, IllinoisLove tybee island!
Left on 05/16/2013 for a stay in April 2013
This was our fourth time at sandpiper, and have recommended it again and again. Tybee vacation rentals are awesome people to work with and make you feel at home. It is a fun, convenient location. Park your car and walk to whatever you want to do...recomend Spankys, the Sunrise for breakfast, Aj's dockside.
This visit however thought TVR should remind the people to keep doors to the street locked, as we found them unlocked at times, thus if weather turns bad, did find "beach people" in the parking area getting out of the weather, and I think if the residents are reminded to lock the doors when going or coming this would remedy the issue. With that said, would highly recomend this comfortable, clean and fun condo to anyone who will listen! Can't wait to return again to our home at the beach!Response from Tybee Vacation Rentals - 05/16/2013

It pleases us so much to provide a great stay visit after visit. Thank you for the kind words about our staff. We can't agree with you more regarding the street front doors at Sand Piper. We remind our guests, but with several rental companies and individual owners renting units at the property it's not something we can always control. Always more fun when everyone is a courteous neighbor. Keep spreading the good word about us and we look forward to having you back soon!

We had a great 3 night stay at Sandpiper unit 302 to celebrate a birthday.
The only thing that could have been better was the weather! It was beautiful sunshine but chilly. I will book again. -

Nothing but good to say about Sandpiper 302 & Tybee Vac. Rentals. From the first phone call to the day we checked out we had nothing but 5 Star care and help with anything we needed. The Condo was top notch and the view was great!!! Very clean and well taken care of condo. We will be back again. Also loved the gated area to park under garage. Never worried about anything being bothered. If you don`t stay here you are missing out on a great view and a great place to stay!!! Also the folks at Tybee Vac Rentals make sure you are number one with them!!! Thanks for a great vacation!!! See ya again soon!!!

Our family enjoyed our 4 days. Being located right across from the beach, we could go back and forth at will. There are lots of places to eat in walking distance too. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony when not on the beach. It was a great place to watch the water, the evening storm, people and a gorgeous sunrise. There is noise from the street in the master bedroom, so if you are a light sleeper, keep that in mind.

GeorgiaNice, but not recommended for family
Left on 05/17/2012 for a stay in May 2012
While the condo was nice, the issues we encountered were due to location and the cleaning service. While it was clear that our sheets and towels had been washed, they were stained nonetheless, making for an uncomfortable experience. There was also a skunk smell on the balcony - which had not been swept or washed off.
The location to the beach and walking distance to restaurants was perfect, but at night we were between two hotspots and a frequent passby for the Dixie Pedelar, a party bike...a very loud party bike. The night noise and the lack of blackout shades makes this location less desirable for families. My 15-month old (not to mention the rest of us) didn't sleep well at all.
The condo was nicely furnished, well laid out, and well stocked. We will not be returning; however, due to the issues we had getting sleep. -

GeorgiaBest Vacation Rental on Tybee
Left on 10/16/2011 for a stay in October 2011
We just completed our third stay in this Condo. We return each year to Tybee Island for Pirate Fest and love the location of this condo and how comfortable it is.
We always rent from Tybee Vacation Rentals in Tybee and they in my opinion are the best and most professional rental agency on the island. I always enjoy talking with their friendly and helpful staff. They really want to make your stay pleasurable and easy!
The complex is very secure with its gated entrance and it is right in the middle of all the action on Tybee Island so once we arrive we usually don't leave the south beach area . Everything is within walking distance we need with two restaurants only a few steps away. The condo is oceanfront abd the balcony has a fantastic view of the Tybee Pier and Pavillion and the beach is only a few steps away.
The bedrooms are comfy and the master is right off the oceanfront balcony and has a large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and walk in shower and double sinks with plenty of room to have all your toiletries easily accessible. Master has a king size bed and two huge mirrored closets to keep your clothes in. There is a door that opens right onto the balcony for a private entrance too. The other two bedrooms have a queen in one and twins in the other bedroom and there is a shared bathroom with shower/tub and nice size vanity. Kitchen is nice with Corian counters and sink, microwave, stove, fridge and plenty of other appliances like a blender, full size coffee pot, toaster and all pots and pans, dishes. Kitchen flows into the dining area with a large table that seats six and a bar off the kitchen gives additional seating for 3. Living area is just beyond the kitchen with additional sleep sofa, a love seat and side chair for plenty of seating. Very cozy and comfy furniture! Also a TV/VCR and a library of books to read too.
I would recommend this condo to families, friends, etc. mainly for its prime location and cleanliness. I highly recommend Tybee Vacation Rentals over any other rental company and wouldn't consider renting from any one else! -

was a great location but noisy. In addition there was no clear direction on where to dispose of trash.
the cooking equipment within the apartment was inadequate
Response from Tybee Vacation Rentals - 08/30/2011
Manager
Sandpiper is definitely the location for those who want to be in the center of the action for the island! Just steps away from the Tybee pier, restaurants, shops and sandy white beach it is the hub of island activities. For those who are looking for the relaxing sounds of waves instead of the beach bunnies we recommend the north of side of the island which is a great residential area with limited commercial attractions. Of course, if you really liked the location, every place on the island quiets down in the non-summer months…well except for Pirate Fest in October when pirates take over the island…there is simply no controlling that scurvy bunch, but what great fun they are! Come back and see us soon!

The condo was great. It was close to the pier and beach. It was in the middle of several bars/restaurants and shops that were within walking distance. Only bad thing to say was that there were no working door locks for the masterbedroom!

Left on 06/19/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We rented this unit for the weekend of our daughters wedding. Friends from out of town rented the unit next door. Unit 302 was OK overall, but the kitchen was not well equipped and there were just enough towels for everyone to have just one. We have rented units from the Sandpiper before (Unit 204) and the kitchen was much more complete and there were extra towels under the bathroom sinks. It was kind of a hectic weekend to begin with and it would have been better if we did not have to throw doing laundry in the mix just so we could have clean towels. We also had to call for dishwasher soap. There was one when we checked in. I called your office and was old there was a store around the corner that sold soap...I get that. The maintenance man ended up bringing some. Staying on the beach is always great...we have stayed in better equipped units at Sandpiper.

Sandpiper #302 was the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. The rooms were clean, nicely furnished and had an excellent view of the beach. All the attractions off the beach were within walking distance. Check in and check out with Tybee Vacation Rentals went smoothly. We will go back again.

Vienna, VARoaches everywhere
Left on 12/16/2009 for a stay in November 2009
We had roaches everywhere in apt. 302 at Sandpiper. The most disgusting place we've ever stayed in. Very disappointing for the money we paid and feel we should have been told and were cheated. Hence, forced to publish this fact on the web for future people who want to stay there. I'm sure Tybe Vacation also knew and remained silent, hence loosing us as repeat costumers.
Response from Tybee Vacation Rentals - 12/23/2009
Manager
We are sincerely sorry that you had such a negative experience during your stay. While we do, like most areas, have occasional issues with roaches this condo is on a monthly pest control plan and is inspected prior to each guest’s arrival. Had we seen any indication of an infestation we would have made the necessary arrangements in advance so your vacation would not have been disrupted. After reading your review we immediately had the property inspected and sprayed. Tybee Vacation Rentals continually strives to provide our guests with quality accommodations and superior service.

Super friendly and helpful service. The home was nicely furnished in a great location. Excellent welcome packet to start our trip. The only downside was the room with the twin beds was too crowded; suggest one twin, bunkbeds or a double in the small room.
Thanks for a great experience! -

This property was perfect for my family. (2 college girls, husband and myself) My husband uses a wheelchair and there is plenty of room for him to maneuver around the condo. The living room furniture is not the most comfortable, but very sturdy. Next time I will bring my own fitted sheets for the beds because only flat sheets were provided. The location is great because it is within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the pier. The sidewalk accessible cut-outs are very wide and smooth. I think Sandpiper 302 is our new favorite vacation place.

Clarkesville, GACondos for Pirate Fest 2009
Left on 10/22/2009 for a stay in October 2009
We had a wonderful stay in the Sandpiper condos in October for Pirate Fest 2009. Our car club stayed as a group so we booked several condos within the complex. Amy and her professional staff at TVR were great to work with! Our car club had attended Pirate Fest in 08' and stayed at a local hotel nearby with a less than impressive stay. I met Amy by chance at a local restaurant during the festival in 08'. She gave me her card an offered her assistance in finding us a place for our group to stay. I contacted Amy at TVR in early 09' to book condos for Pirate Fest 09'. Her staff helped us by finding a great location in the Sandpiper condos for our group. We rented several condos for our group which made it easy for us to gather in ours or one of the other condos our club stayed. They are right in the heart of downtown Tybee and our group booked all oceanfront units. The parking was gated and very secure. Location was perfect for us to be able to walk out the door and be in the middle of all the festivities. Condos are spacious and very clean and has an open layout for the kitchen, dining and living area with a view all the way though to the beach from the balcony. Our Master suite was very nice with a big king bed , TV/DVD and the room has a private door that opens onto the oceanfront covered balcony, the master bath has a big jacuzzi tub, which was nice to relax in after a day's activities. Other guest bedrooms were comfortable for our other roomates and they shared a full bath with plenty of room.
Only negative was our unit did not have a CD/Radio/Stereo to be able to listen to music, but does have a TV/VCR/DVD player in living room.
I would highly recommend booking a stay with Amy and her capable and friendly staff. They are courteous and pleasant to work with and our questions and e mails were answered quickly. We have already re-booked with them for Pirate Fest 2010 and look forward to using their services for any other Tybee vacation we will plan in the future. -

The layout of the home was great. I do not recommend this unit if you have small children as the night life can be very loud. Also, my main issue was that this home desperately needed to be cleaned. From food on the remote control to dirty floors and cabinetry, I was very displeased. I did tell the management upon leaving.

Condo and view were fabulous. Would have preferred a mattress upgrade on queen and double beds. Everything else seemed to be in fairly good shape. During our packing to return home we forgot a couple of items, but with a quick call to your office, they were shipped to us within a reasonable time period. That was much appreciated. We do plan on returning in the Spring.
