      Great vacation in Tybee Island.

Left on 04/25/2013 for a stay in April 2013

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit there again. The condo was beautifully decorated and was very clean. The ocean view was great. The only problem we had was that the parking was very tight.

      Great Location, Pretty Condo!

Left on 04/11/2013 for a stay in March 2013

The condo was nicely decorated and the location was great. However there were some problems with the on site management because several companies managed condos at the complex and the onsite maintenance seemed to favor the owners over the renters and in a town that makes it's living on tourists it was an issue. I will definitely rent form TVR again (love the company) but will not rent in this complex.
Also the parking garage was too small and many people with oversized vehicles felt they could park in other's spaces. Twice the vehicles next to us were parked over the line and we were not able to get our vehicles in and out. The second time we parked in the overflow spots that were marked for owners and renters and that day the onsite maintenance man put tape over the renters portion of the sign and put for owners only!
Also the elevator was out of service several times! We were trapped in it for a short time the first night we were there and others said it had problems often!

Great location on the beach in a large, corner unit. Who doesn't like to marvel at the surfers? Well maintained, really nice furnishings, had a great time. Only drawback-restaurant/bar next door, quiet by midnight on the weekend. Hardly knew we had any other neighbors.

Loved this unit!!Clean, spacious and perfect view.Little noisy on weekends at night but you are so tired from beaching all day that sleeps comes easily.A luggage cart near the elevator would have been nice.Next year I'm bringing my wagon!

      Wheelchair Friendly & Perfect Description

Left on 05/18/2012 for a stay in May 2012

Great time had by all at this unit. One guest in a manual wheelchair had no difficulties maneuvering in all rooms except the twin-bedroom (didn't need to go in there anyway). Bed height was good for his transfer, too. This unit was exactly as described and pictured on the internet. Very well furnished and exceptionally clean. Office staff were professional and made the entire process from reservation to check-out easy and with no glitches. Tybee Island is a great place to visit and the beach is also wheelchair friendly with mobi-mats and even free use of a beach wheelchair (first come-first served). I highly recommend this property!

The rental procedure was very easy..reserved online, simply picked up the key on the way to the rental, & dropped it off on checkout. Employees were very friendly! Rental unit was clean & spacious with balcony overlooking ocean & pier. Loved that it was walking distance to restaurants, beach, & beach shops. Had a "goodie bag" waiting for us in the unit, made us feel very welcome.

Our stay was very comfortable. Every thing about the condo was very nice. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was amazing, the view was magnificent for the fireworks, and we felt safe in the gated/locked building. We will come again!

My friends...Tybee Girls...take a trip to Tybee every year...5 years running. We have used a different company until this trip...we will stay with this company. The service was great and they even called after we checked in to make sure everything was okay. When we couldnt figure out the DVD player...they sent someone to show us how. The condo was beautiful and close to everything we love!!! As a matter of fact...we have already rebooked for next year...this is our new Tybee home. We love the condo and the company!!! See you in October 2012...

Gorgeous Beach, Excellent Food, and Savannah nearby-perfection

Left on 08/26/2011 for a stay in August 2011

Third visit to Tybee, second stay at this condo - Tybee Beach Vacation Rentals gives great service, easy checkin and out. But the condo was perfect so I didn't have to call them for anything else. Three bedrooms two baths corner balcony close to the pier, close to the Breakfast Club, Sting Ray, Sundae Cafe - best restaurants on the Island - as well as shopping, grocery store and gas station that doesn't gouge you. Only problem we had was one day the water wasn't deemed safe but it was near the end of the week and made it easier to leave!

      Best Rental on the Beach

Left on 07/22/2011 for a stay in May 2011

I could sit here and write a novel about how wonderful this vacation rental was. Upon arriving the rental was spotless. The kitchen was extremely spacious and had all modern appliances. The bedrooms were also spacious along with very clean bathrooms. I loved how it had a washer and dryer included. When you opened the sliding glass door to the balcony, which had an opening from the living room and master bedroom, it felt as if you were in a whole other world. The view of the ocean was amazing along with the breeze that came through. Right across from the rental was a restaurant that had live music. You could sit on the balcony and listen to the music play while you enjoyed viewing the ocean. It was amazing.

      Great Girl's Getaway!

Left on 04/04/2009 for a stay in March 2009

My Mom, three sisters, and I (all over 50) take a vacation together each year. We come from the east coast, west coast, and northeast and each year we try to find a new beach spot on the East coast.

This year, although it's not on the ocean, we decided to visit Savannah, GA. What a nice surprise to discover Tybee Island was only 15 minutes away. So, rather than stay in a hotel room in Savannah, we rented a condo on Tybee. After researching lodging on the Island, we rented Sandpiper #306 through Tybee Vacation Rentals (TVR). What a great choice - TVR was highly recommended by reviewers on TripAdvisor.com and they were right.

The 3-bedroom, 2-bath condo was ocean front, spacious, clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed for a week's stay. The staff at TVR were friendly and very responsive to any request.

We enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere on Tybee. We walked the beach every morning and evening, visited the local shops (some tacky-tourist, some nice), restaurants, and points of interest. (Try the delicious onion rings at Fannies at the Beach, and pizza from Cousin Vinnie's.)

Then, in a matter of minutes, we could drive to Savannah and stroll along River and Bay Streets in the afternoons. We visited beautiful Forsythe Park and had fun in the City Market. We're all fans of Food Network, so we had to eat at Paula Deen's Lady and Son Restaurant (good, traditional Southern buffet) and Uncle Bubba's Oyster House (fabulous chargrilled oysters).

We didn't eat out a lot, because we treasured spending time together in the kitchen of our condo as we prepared meals together. Then, later in the evening we sat around the table playing Yahtzee and Monopoly, sipping wine as we talked, laughed, and caught up on each other's news.

What a great week with family!

It had an ocean view with a big balcony. The rooms were spacious
and clean. The big kitchen was fantastic. I liked having an elevator
to get up to the room carrying heavy suitcases. I loved sitting in the
oversized chair reading. Everyone was just great.

      great with one exception

Left on 11/25/2008 for a stay in June 2008

This was a REALLY nice condo. All of the furnishings were top notch.
We especially liked the gated parking. It made us feel like we and our
car were extra secure. Our condo was ocean front on the corner of the
building. The neighboring building, unfortunately, was Fannie's
Restaurant. They played very loud music, very late on Friday and
Saturday night. Sometimes the smell of the fried food got to us when
we were on the balcony, I believe it was unit 306 that we were in. This
was a great rental property , just try not to book the end rooms! The
parking lot conveniently had a door leading to beach access. For the
difference in price of a motel room or small condo this was a steal!

Condo was great; issues with rental office

Left on 11/18/2008 for a stay in November 2007

The condo was very comfortable for 5 or 6 (we were 5). 3 bedrooms, large living room & kitchen. Balcony was good size, but the solid wood front meant you couldn't see the ocean from the balcony unless you were standing. Rental office, which is 2 miles from the units, was empty when we arrived for check-in; but we found they had left us the wrong key, and we couldn't rouse anyone with cell phones to fix it for 2-3 hours. Also, the Strand was under a major reconstruction project, which we felt the rental office might have mentioned. But construction noise was only a problem for half the week.
