Located on North end near Lighthouse. This home has great views from the decks and screened porches and from the master bedroom. Over 1000 sq ft of deck space and also nice view of Lighthouse from 1st floor balcony. 2 story home with garage parking below. 1st floor has living room, dining, kitchen, full bath, queen bedroom with private balcony, and laundry, 2 decks and furnished screened porch. My family and I had a wonderful time at Sandy's North Shore. It was our first time renting on Tybee and it was enjoyed by all. I purposely chose a house close to the lighthouse as that's the beach I've enjoyed going to in the past for day trips.
The house was very clean upon arrival. And, everything was in working order. My son enjoyed the home so much, he wants me to buy it! We loved being able to see the water from the upper deck and the lighthouse from the back deck.
My only real complaint is that the mattresses should all be changed to new ones. They all dipped in the center which made it difficult to share comfortably. The bathroom upstairs could use an updating but still works just fine.
While the house is not large, it's decor was very well done. You feel at home right away. The screened in porch was really a bonus with Ga bugs! It would be nice if there was a fan on that porch too. The bottle tree was wonderful. Loved it!
Overall, a very successful vacation. We'd rent at Sandy's North Shore again! -

Sandusky north shore is a wonderful house, very tastefully decorated and well supplied. My only complain would be the sugar ants that seem to come out at night on the kitchen counter and the doors down stairs in the area were cars are parted. Locking these doors can be a challenge but over all house is great, close to beach. Would highly recommend.

We have gone to Tybee for 9 years and except for the first two years, we've stayed at Lighthouse Pointe. The property's have always been clean and cared for. Our last visit, we had an issue with the sliding door and within an hour a service tech was there to take care of the problem. We will definitely be going back!

I filled out the questionaire already upon check-out with the details of why we probably won't take this rental again, but just briefly, the furnishings can no longer accomodate our larger family in the living room area, very important to our group. I was disappointed to find upon our arrival this year that the double chair and ottoman were missing from the living room area leaving only the couch and no other upholstered pieces. Two odd wicker chairs that were formerly on the porch had been pulled into the area, but were not lounging chairs. I was sorry the owners had bought tvs for each bedroom and a bunch of new "knick nacks" ( not necessary) and forgot to furnish the house properly.

Sandys North Beach was a great place for the week. The house was very cute and the bedrooms were spacious, plenty of closet space and the screened in deck was a great place for all of us to hang out and have our coffee in the morning. Only a few minutes walk from the beach and close to anything else but in a quiet section of Tybee away from the tourist traffic. Only negative was that the gas grill had no propane.
Would definately stay again. -

This was our second year renting Sandy's North Shore and is was another fantastic vacation. The location to the beach and lighthouse is great. Always so well kept. Our only issue this time that we lost power almost 10 times the first night of our stay (probably not a house issue but more of a island-wide problem) with no storms in the area. After that, smooth sailing!

We enjoyed the visit quite a bit. The off the beaten path location was actually what We needed for a quiet break. The othet end of the island is where all the activity is other than the lighthouse tours, but being away from that is what we wanted. The home was very well appointed for a beach house and the small yard and garage worked out great for us. Only complaint was one tv difficult to view channels and the lower level ac unit didnt cool well...fortunately weather was nice while there.

My wife and I spent the month of February at Sandy's North Shore and we were very happy with our choice of this vacation rental. It was comfortable, accessible to Savannah, and within a very short walk of the beach and the lighthouse. The neighbors were friendly and quiet.
We brought our australian Shepherd along (her first time traveling) and the fenced-in yard made us feel safe and secure. A good friend and some close family members came and joined us for a few days and everyone really enjoyed the island and the cottage.
I found the sofa a bit soft for my taste: I am used to a tight-back sofa. I had a problem getting a prescription mailed to me from Medco (be sure to give Tybee Vacation Rentals' street address and not the post office box if you need prescription medicine sent to you). Those were my only problems.
The several televisions were a little confusing to program and use at first; but a call to Tybee Vacation Rentals got a friendly and experienced maintenance man out immediately to explain and adjust things. -

We had a great time at Sandy's North Shore. The house was beautifully decorated and very well appointed. It had great hardwood floors and great decks, one screened. The kitchen was really nice to cook in, and I had everything I needed (except a cup measure!). We really enjoyed our stay, and we would stay there again!

We had a great time staying at Sandy's - we come to Tybee 1-2 times a year and always rent through Tybee Vacation Rentals. This home was very clean, beautifully decorated and mostly well-stocked (some measuring cups and a salad bowl would be good additions!). As the crow flies it is very close to the ocean, but it was tricky finding beach access. The porch by the master bedroom is perfect for sunning and relaxing in the evening, and the screened in porch is lovely for morning coffee. Overall, I would recommend, and would stay here again.

We greatly enjoyed this house and it's location near the lighthouse and public beach. All amenities were taken care of. We cooked alot at the house including on the grill and had everything we needed. We are going to rent the same house next time.
