Cleveland, TNNice time
Left on 07/12/2012 for a stay in June 2012
The condo was really nice and clean, but when we got there the room was hot. The air was not working, it was to late for someone to come out when we checked in so we had to sleep with no air. Thank goodness for the ceiling fans. The next day someone was suppose to be coming to fix the air but after several hours of waiting we had to call again then someone one came out. Other than that the room was really nice and the location was great, just a short walk to the beach and all the little shops. The one thing that we did notice while we were there this year is that a lot of the local restaurants were not very clean, so on our next trip we will be eating in our clean kitchen. Please Tybee restaurants clean up your act because we love the visiting the island.

The condo was great. Very clean and comfy. It was easy to relax and let this be your home away from home. We were just a 2 minute walk to the beach and restaurants on the strand. The porch/balcony was nice also, with table and chairs.

What short time we were there it was to our needs, Thank you for being clean that is very important, the only things was the vacum cleaners in the closets were not working, i tried to clean them out still would not pickup the durt during the week.. The grill on the deck was not usable, the sheets on the smaller bed were not for a full bed, was queen which we thought both beds were to be queen. if my sisterlaw had not have had the heart a tack then we would have called about it but we did not get to do the things we planned.. the stay was good since she did not pass, she hung in there with us for next time..We will return. Thank you alice Goins

The condo was represented honestly on the web site. The location was great. Walked 30 yds to the beach and within a block or two of all the bars and restaurants. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Tybee island made for a great vacation!

Left on 08/01/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The location was awesome, the room was very clean and comfortable and within walking distance of most things on the south side of the island. The room was a little prices but comparable with other rates for the comfort we wanted. This is a vacation for those looking to relax. Note that Tybee is not very active in general, so if you are looking for more than relaxation, you won't find it here.

Ft. Lauderdale, FloridaUnhappy with the surroundings
Left on 07/27/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Check in was terrific. The condo was lovely. But the walls were paper thin; therefore, could hear everything and everyone. Upstairs rentals were inconsiderate to their neighbors. The contract stated no parties, but that wasn't the case at all. Lots of drinking going on. It's not recommended for the family vacation. The ally way to enter the condo was dangerous. Steps leading to the condo were not safe. When the description stated it was "partial view" that was a far stretch. The only way one could see that view is by a zoom lens on my camera.

This condo exceeded our expectations. Super clean, adequately furnished, and a quick walk to the beach, pier, eateries, etc. A warm Southern welcome at the TVR office by Mary ann. Easy check-out. Loved it!

Left on 07/05/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Clean vacation home with great access to the beach and downtown Tybee, as well as free parking beneath the home. Spacious with modern decor, this vacation home is definitely a great home away from home. The only negatives would be shared porch/ balcony areas and can be somewhat pricey during peak months.

Knoxville, TNNice condo
Left on 06/21/2011 for a stay in June 2011
If not for some difficulties we had with facilities (A/C was not working when we arrived...not very pleasant during a hot, humid summer!) and the dryer took a really, really long time to dry clothes, we would have really enjoyed our stay. The a/C was fixed late that first evening and worked great after that. But when we noticed the dryer taking hours to dry laundry, we called and the technician who came to look at it told us that it was working. Well, maybe by his definition, but the day before we left, I washed a load of clothes and put them in the dryer around lunchtime. They didn't get dry until after I went to bed that night, making packing a last minute ordeal which I hated.
All that said, the furnishings were nice, the location was good, and we liked the place. With a new dryer and a good carpet cleaning, I would definitely recommend. But given that we were told there was nothing wrong with the dryer, I am not that confident in the facility services in place. -

Griffin, GeorgiaVery nice place but very uncomfortable
Left on 07/27/2009 for a stay in July 2009
The beds were the most uncomfortable beds we'd ever slept on. The outside chairs were also very uncomfortable. The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. Great location if you want close to the beach. Was a bit noisy with the upstairs neighbors but that's to be expected.
Good experience but not sure we'll stay at that condo again. -

Atlanta, GANice rental in a good location
Left on 04/28/2009 for a stay in April 2009
My brother and I rented this unit for four nights in April. It was our third trip to Tybee and the third time renting from Tybee Vacation Rentals.
Tybee Sands #2A is similar to the other condo units on 17th Place that TVR rents. The price was good (better than usual, actually, due to the Tybee 'Big Give' discount for that week) and the location is great; it's right on the south end of the island and just a few buildings back from the Strand and the beach, but on a quiet street away from the noise.
The unit itself was nice. The living room furniture was attractive and comfortable, and the kitchen had newer appliances (he filtered cold water dispenser on the fridge was particularly welcome). A/C and appliances all worked just fine. The mattresses on the beds seemed a bit old; mine was still quite comfortable for me, but my brother found his rather saggy. The guest bath also has no counter or storage space whatsoever, which was slightly annoying. This is also a second-floor unit (the first floor being the covered parking area), so there is another unit above. There seems to be little or no insulation in the floor between the units, and people walking around upstairs makes quite a bit of noise, so if that kind of thing bothers you, you might want to consider renting one of the upstairs "B" units instead (and learn to walk softly). Overall, though, it was probably the best of the three units we've rented on our trips.
The 17th Place condos (Tybee Sands and Idle-a-While) are hard to beat for value and location, and Tybee Vacation Rentals has always been helpful and easy to work with. I'd recommend this unit or any of their others on the same street if you're looking for an inexpensive two-bedroom rental on the south side. -

Dennison, ohioJust enjoying warmer weather for christmas
Left on 04/24/2009 for a stay in December 2008
We were looking for somewhere warmer than Ohio to visit over Christmas and not to far to drive and bring our two small dogs. The condo has modern amenities, nicely decorated and very clean. Also, it is very close to the beach.
Although it was December and swimming was out of the question, the warmer weather and walks on the beach were a nice escape from the freezing Ohio winter. The Tybee beach is beautiful!
We also found some great restraunts on Tybee and charming Savannah. Hope to visit soon and this time during the summer. Seems a lot of business are open seasonally.
Thank you for your hospitality!

We enjoyed our stay on Tybee Island. The condo
was in good order but the floors were in bad
need of a good cleaning not just wet mopped.I
think the cleaning service was not very through the bathrooms were not cleaned properly. All the properties seem to be in need of some TLC such as paint and repair on the
outside. We defintely liked the location and the short walk to the beach. Betty/ Charlotte N.C. -

Left on 11/18/2008 for a stay in August 2008
I loved this home. It has a great porch I sat on everynight. We had plenty of room for my husband and three children the kitchen was well furnished and easy to cook in. It was quiet and peaceful. This was the best week I had at Tybee and I have visited every year for 10 years. I love Tybee!!!!Also it was very close walking distance to the local bars so we didn't have to worry about driving and drinking, and close enough where I felt safe leaving the teenagers in the rental while we went out at night. The teenage children said this was the nicest place they have stayed..

Left on 11/18/2008 for a stay in May 2006
The property was clean and comfortable. The amenities were as promised in the advertising I had seen, and I felt comfortable and safe in the accommodations. There was an issue with the stench of the water for the first day--pretty awful, but went away after using for awhile (wouldn't recommend drinking it!). The close-to-the-beach location is awesome -- Just a short walk down the street! I would definitely return and stay in this property~
