2 bedroom apartment in a historic Tybee cottage located one and a half blocks from the beach and within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, the pier and more. Comfortable and cozy with full amenities, big screen TV, sleeper sofa in living room and private entrance. The upstairs owners are happy to share the private 30X20 pool in the backyard and gas grill. King bedroom has cable TV. Guest bedroom has single bed with a trundle and private bath and patio. The rental was nice it had a musty smell but could not figure out what it was from. The space was plenty but I would never rent this one again because the occupants upstairs were horrible the noise in the morning would start between 6-7 (am) and at times it sounded like someone was coming through the ceiling. We did notice other places to rent and may be coming back in October.
We will keep Tybee Vacations Rentals in mind for that trip also.

It was wonderful and we can't wait to go back. The owners upstairs are so nice and hospitable. Our teenagers loved the hammock and being able to walk to the shops and restaurants.

First of all, the actual rental and the homeowners were fantastic. We enjoyed all of the time we spent in the apartment, and the homeowners who live upstairs were amazingly hospitable and wonderful people. I have absolutely zero complaints about Tybreeza or its owners.
However, while my first contact with the company was wonderful, the rest was problematic. I called after-hours and was told that the office would call me back to confirm the reservation. When he did call back, he argued with me about the number of parking spaces available. I don't mean a, "I think you may be mistaken, but there are only X number of spaces," or "Let me check on that." I mean argued with me until I had to pull it up on my computer and cite the exact location of the information I was quoting. It gave me pause, but I'd already authorized the credit charge by then. The website discrepancy has yet to be changed.
At the end of the trip, we knew no one was coming in on the same day, so we asked to arrange a late check-out. The company said no, so we left at the time arranged, only to have them call us back about an hour after we were gone to tell us if we didn't leave, we were going to be charged extra. We told them we were already on the road, and had been gone. I don't want to sound entitled, like I expected a late check-out, but really, if you don't even know when we're gone, what would it have mattered if we stayed an extra hour? It would have meant more money spent on the island, but we decided to go ahead and get back on the road instead.
Finally, throughout any written or email communication, no matter that my name is spelled correctly on my email account or that they sure spelled it right for the credit card charge, the agent continually spelled my name wrong in just about every place possible. Probably wouldn't have bothered me as much without the other issues. Bottom line? I'd love to rent this place again, but not if I have to go through Tybee Vacation Rentals. -

We rented this property originally July 23rd through July 28th. However, we were so relaxed and had the option to stay another day so we did! We had our 6 year old daughter and her nanny with us and there was more than enough room in the apartment. It was a great little basement apartment and the private pool was fantastic. It was so well kept and the owners met us as soon as we arrived. They were great and welcomed us like family. We will be going back there and staying in the same apartment. It was a great experience and it was next to everything , within walking distance but was still on a quiet road. Great family trip.

Excellent, the place was so comfortable and cozy, it was like being at home! The grounds was beautiful and the landlords were extremely pleasant, couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience. We didn't want to leave!!!

The location of this rental is great. Only a 5 min walk. The home was nicely decorated and easily accommodated 4 adults and one child. The pool area is a plus. I would definitely stay here again.

Pro:great location in walking distance from everywhere, lovely decoration of the apartment even if 1 chair inside the house and 2 in the back patio were broken and i was afraid to get charged, i wasn't
i got locked out in not office hour the staff was fast and corteus bringing a new key at no charge
con:for the price i paid i would have expected some pest control to be carried out, i didn't like seeing quite a lot of spiders and few roaches
the beaches in tybee island are quite dirty -

We loved everything! The house was so nice and comfortable and my husband and kids loved the pool. We even walked to the beach-and this is with an 8 year old, a 5 year old and a 3 year old-so the beach is really pretty close. It was one of the best vacations we've ever had.

We enjoyed being within a short walking distance to the beach, went out every morning for a sunrise walk (except one when we had a thunderstorm). We spent afternoons & evenings on the beach as well.
The pool area hadn't had a spring clean up yet and the self cleaning device spooked the kids, they wouldn't swim with it in. They did enjoy some time sitting out by the pool doing their nails & chatting.
The house had a decent amount of room for 6 people. One bathroom was a little small but sufficient.
The kitchen could have been stocked with a few more supplies for cooking, had to get creative at times. Dining room table was more than sufficient for 6. Washer & dryer was very nice to have.
Wi-Fi worked great as did the 2 tv's in the house.
We had a wonderful vacation on Tybee Island and would love to return! -

My husband and I stayed at the Tybreeza the whole week of June 21st, 2009 with our 5 and 6 year old girls. We did have a great time here. The location is great. We did enjoy our brief walk to the beach. Very convienant to local shops and grocery store. Loved the pool!!! The flowers around it made you feel like you were in a tropical place. The home owners were really nice. The only issue we had was that the master bath was too small and for larger people, it doesn't work. There is no space to get ready if someone else is in there. I am very protective of my children. I did not like the french doors in their room. However, i felt for sure we wouldn't have any issues. Did learn that there may be a spirit here. Was a little uneasy about that but didn't have any "ghostly" sightings or issues. Overall, we would have probably liked to have stayed here again but the bathroom was a big issue for us. Some minor roaches as well. This place is great to stay if you have kids. Overall, lovely home.

We stayed four nights at Tybreeza and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our group included our daughters, son-in law and two small grandchildren. The house was just the right size for us, cozy without feeling crowded. It is within easy walking distance of the beach & shops but still on a quiet street. The pool was convenient & clean, providing a great place to grill and eat. We enjoyed some nice poolside conversations with the neighbor. The owner was friendly and helpful. They made us feel like part of the Tybee community. We encountered a couple minor problems, which the owner quickly resolved. My only complaints were of being awakened one night by a loud female voice, and the sofa bed is not very comfortable. Overall our stay was very enjoyable and we have booked Tybreeza again next year.

We rented this basement apartment for 5 days and really enjoyed our stay. The homeowners lived above us and were always gracious and accomodating. They have a wonderful, big inground pool enclosed in a very nice, huge outdoor entertaining area with use of the grill, tables, chairs etc. We had use of the area at all times. The walk to the beach was maybe a 1/4 mile or less, but I would recommend bringing some kind of cart to carry a lot of beach stuff.
The home is older but furnished adequately and has concrete floors that were rather ugly but at least you didn't have to worry about the kids coming in from the pool dripping and ruining anything. For the price we paid we were happy and would love to go back there. -

The ground-level apartment was clean and very comfortable. It was very convenient for walking to the beach. The owners upstairs were very friendly. Important to us was that it was also child-friendly (two small boys). The painted cement floor allowed easy clean-up. We would definitely stay there again. We had a great time!

All in all, this is a nice rental property. It is nicely decorated, the bed in the master is heavenly, and the pool was wonderful. The only negative issue I had was the noise level in the evenings. When we went to bed we could hear everything going on in the main house. There were a few nights that it was very hard to go to sleep and when we finally did, we were awakened later to loud conversation. If it had not been for this, it would have been the perfect property.
