Villa Delicious is by far the most stunningly gorgeous quintessential Balinese palace supreme that one could possibly imagine to nest in.
In addition to every need we could possibly imagine being sated, we were continuously delighted by the exquisite artisitc detail that permeates every nook and cranny of this Shangri-la.
We loved lounging in the giant bed that was clearly created for royalty, bathing in the outdoor shower in the presence of emerald green fauna and sipping coconut water in the presence of dragonflies and butterflies as we gazed out to our own private rice field.
It was sublimely quiet, serene and within walking distance to everything you could possibly need while feeling 10,000 miles away from the hustle and bustle.
After staying for 12 nights we were still discovering new delights and the memory of being at the Heaven on Earth that Villa Delicious is will stay with us forever.

Perth, Western AustraliaA month at Villa Delicious, Bali.
Left on 12/19/2012 for a stay in November 2012
Tim and I are very happy to recomend Villa Delicious. We stayed for an amazing month in November 2012. Down a narrow path with walled gardens either side, up a few steps and onto a small landing to the front door. As you turn the key you can't imagine the beauty that awaits you inside. Shoes off you step onto the cool marble floor, an outstanding feature of the villa. Your eyes refreshed from the heat of the day by the many cool shades of teal and green. The large one bedroom villa is surrounded by lotus ponds, tropical gardens and your own tiny rice field. We were lucky to see the emerald green rice, a week after we arrived it was harvested then the stalks burnt and the field flooded. We watched for hours the wading birds, brightly coloured butterflies and then the comical ducks moved in. If you can drag yourself off the day bed there are plenty of things to do in Ubud. Lots of day spas, yoga studios, fabulous restaurants, art galleries and walks through the jungle and rice fields. Villa Delicious has everything you need for a comfortable stay. You will be looked after by friendly, competent staff. Oh yes,and there are fire flies in the garden at night magic.

What a perfect home and location for our holiday in Ubud. The staff were excellent, caring and generous. The garden is beautiful. Â Swimming pool was a blessing enabling us to cool off after trekking in the humidity during the day. The location away from the centre of Ubud and the road made for a very tranquil setting. Everything we needed was within a short walk such as Bintang Supermarket, Sedona Spa, Yellow Flower Cafe, Lalla & Lili, as well as Penestanan village. We can't wait to come back. After our first visit to Ubud, we need not look any further for the perfect holiday accommodation. One suggestion though, if staying over a week, a change of towels would be welcome. Â By the way, we loved Lily the house dog and her constant companionship and the way she makes herself at home and welcomed us as her guests!

We absolutely loved our stay at Pondok Padi. The house is beautifully decorated with tile floors, original artwork and teak furniture which gives it a clean and graceful look but a very homey feel. We lounged frequently on both terraces listening to all the fauna- the extra large couch downstairs was especially nice for sharing. The human staff was incredibly sweet and helpful yet unobtrusive and the animal staff (the house dog Lilly and the house cat Lita) showed us around and made us feel very welcome. Lilly sometimes came to breakfast with us at the nearby Yellow Flower Cafe. The pool was fabulous- very clean and refreshing. All of the necessities were in excellent working order: toilets flushed well, shower had good water pressure, bed comfy, refrigerator kept things cold and made ice!
My husband and I wish we lived at Pondok padi all year around. -

My sister and I stayed for 4 days at Pondok Padi and loved it! The home was lovely, clean comfortable and a terrific location. However the stairs from the road were a challange!A struggle if you have any mobility issues or knee problems. I may have been helpful if this was highlighted for those with mobility issues. This was the only down side to the experinece. The location was beautiful and the walk from the road was short also only a short walk into Ubud. Loved the house dog Lilly and the staff were faultless and most helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet location with a picture perfect garden and view.
Thank you very much.Response from noelle simpson - 06/10/2011

Happy you enjoyed our home like we do.
I hope you found the path with only a few steps rather than the short route stair work out. -

Our only complaint is that the photos on this site do not do justice to the actual location. Less than 2 months ago we regretfully left after 3 weeks of cosseted heaven in this spacious house creatively furnished with local antiques.
Comfortable beds with giant mosquito nets & a large balcony of sofas looking out over rice paddies, jungle & majestic volcanoes. The lower, larger terrace/dining area is protected by a Buddha & surrounded by lily ponds leading into an exotic garden with a welcoming private pool.
The housekeeper Nyoman is a talented cook & with Kadek & Wayan they keep it all immaculate & trouble-free.
A 15min walk & you're in the centre of Ubud which is bustling with markets, galleries, restaurants & temples which have frequent colourful ceremonies. The owners were very helpful with their local knowledge of the best places to go - we particularly liked a restaurant called Kafe & Symon's bizarre Studio at the bottom of the steps.
We could go on but enough to say 3 weeks in paradise.
