At 824 metres (2400ft) above sea level, we enjoy a temperate climate, ideal for swimming by day and sleeping without air-conditioning at night, just the sounds of nature to lull you to sleep. Temperatures range on average, from 18C to 27C, so bring a sweater and baggies for the evenings and your favorite suntan lotion for the days!

I stayed at Orchid villa for 7 nights as part of a retreat. Orchid Villa is a magical, harmonious place, beautifully kept, stunning views, gorgeous staff, and you can't help but want to hug the owners Rick and Lita (over and over again!!)The organic, fresh food is superb. I would highly recommend a visit...knowing full well that once there you will want to extend your stay.

We got there at begining of apr,2013. When we arrive Orchid Villa, Rick and Lita were there waiting us at lobby and given us a warmly welcome. Lita is a very friendly hostess. She show us around and introduce each rooms in detail.
All of us were fascinated at that time, it's really a fairyland. My father said he never thought existing such an amazing place in the world. Everyone was excited here. I think it definitely will be the best memory in my whole life. I wish time can stop at that moment. Peace,harmony and nature, I almost live in my dream.
It's very pity that we arrange another project and just stay there for one night. If we could go to Bali again, we will continue this dream...

What an amazing villa!! We were greeted by the owners as we checked in and escorted to our amazing rooms! We stayed there for 3 nights and a big thanks to Putu who took care of us from organizing our meals, laundry, massages, etc.

As you pull off up to the front gate, Orchid Villa looks like something out of a JRR Tolkien novel. The gate is the focal point, which makes you wonder what lies within. Once inside, walk over stepping stones through dense trees and over babbling brooks. Frogs, birds and various insects can be heard. There is one villa to the right, and two more to the left, after which you enter the main building. and be greeted by Rick's lovely wife Lita. Within the main building are two more suites, which are more similar in style to hotel rooms. The views of mountains and ever-changing sky, and fresh air makes you feel like you really have arrived in paradise.
The villa style rooms are a more native Balinese experience, and are more secluded, but all the rooms have a similar comfort level. Rooms are tastefully decorated with Balinese artwork and furniture. The outer villa rooms have an enclosed bathroom, while the rooms in the main building have a bath open to the outdoors.
The food is fresh, mostly organic and tasty, with many of the vegetables and herbs coming from their own garden. Its more like a home cooked meal than any we experienced in Bali.
At meal times, guests are seated together at a long table, and its easy to become fast friends after just a meal or two. Rick is a great communicator, and very good at bringing everyone together and keeping the conversation lively. The conversations can go on late into the evening at times. One of the great benefits of staying here was the interesting people we met. There was a wide range of ages and nationalities, but all the people we met were well-traveled and had interesting stories to tell, as well as valuable information of one kind or another to share. There is good energy flowing through here, and it seems that the right mix of people are drawn in.
Come here with an open mind and open heart, and you will be surprised at what you leave with after a few days stay. -

From the moment I stepped into the spectacular scenery of Orchid Villa, it really felt like a dream. Rick and Lita exude the most incredible energy and the entire place is abuzz with postive people. From the sincere hugs you are greeted with, to the many amazing, real and rich conversations had at meal times, Orchid Villa is exactly the place to be. Whether one aims to be trekking, rafting, ziplining (flying fox), coffee sampling, working holiday, relaxing in an infinity pool with a spectacular outlook, this is the place to come! From my experience, this place changes you in the most amazing and profound ways. The staff and service is second to none and the food is exceptional. Drivers are also available to take you anywhere at anytime, which really makes all of Bali so easily accessible. Rick's profound wisdom and Lita's warm heart enrich your everyday at Orchid Villa, and I must say, the place attracts the most interesting, engaged and balanced people. Despite wanting to experience the highlands of Bali, I was ever-pulled back to Orchid Villa; back to fine food, blissful sleeps, relaxation by the pool, laughter with Lita, wise words from Rick...the list is endless. For anyone keen to see the highlands, this place is an absolute must-stay. From all my being Rick and Lita, thank you so very much for everything. I will certainly be back. Love Brad.

I my wife and our four children rented three of the villa orchids delightful rooms for 9 days. The setting was spectacular with sweeping views over a deep ravine flanked with thick vegetation and volcanoes in the distance. The rooms are surrounded with beautiful plants with outdoor bathrooms featuring pools full of beautiful fish and lily pads. My children were enthralled with the rich insect and animal life around us from water snakes (harmless) to giant bees and even kingfishers. The staff and owners, Rick and Lita, were charming and thoughtful, and provided very reasonably priced, home-cooked meals, a really good value car service, and lots of advice on what outings to do during the day. the villa is ideal for a chill-out holiday around the pool looking out over the hills; but equally is very well situated for a more active holiday in the hill territory around Ubud - we did white water rafting, a dawn hike up Mount Batur, a nature walk in the paddy fields and forests around Ubud, a cycle ride from the crater rim down to the plain, walks in the surrounding countryside (on which we found secluded temples), great kecak and legong performances in Ubud in the evenings... Rick and Lita even shared a news years eve party with us in an Ubud jazz club which featured a really top quality band playing brilliant covers of Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind and Fire songs, which was not something I had expected in Ubud! 30 mins drive from the town. A truly memorable stay, really educational for the children, and we could not have had a nicer base for it.

The highlight of our two week trip to Bali was our four night stay at Orchid Villa - an earthly Paradise set atop a hill, amidst lush greenery, with trickling streams and koi ponds running through it. Our fourth night was spent in one of the other properties managed by Orchid Villa - Villa air Terjun, just across the private road from Orchid Villa, which is also very beautiful. Meeting the owners, Rick and Lita and their twin daughters - Maya and Mia, was like meeting long lost friends. Such hospitality is rare. We brought in the New Year with Rick and Lita at the Jazz Cafe in Ubud, amid dancing and merry-making. Prior to our visit, I had requested them to arrange for a cake for my husband's birthday on Jan. 1st. Unbeknownst to us, they prepared a candlelight dinner in one of their outdoor dining areas. We shared a sumptuous dinner together and scrumptious cake (to my husband's utter surprise)! We had ambitious plans of many a visit to central Ubud, (shopping and otherwise), but apart from two quick trips and two sub-standard meals there, we chose to remain in the tranquility of Orchid Villa, partaking in delectable delicacies and engaging in matters of the soul with Rick and Lita. Orchid Villa offers an extensive menu of fresh, wholesome entrees including Balinese and other fare. Our favourites were Nasi Campur (a sampling of a few Balinese dishes with rice), their curry dishes, the potato croquettes and the soups (pumpkin, mushroom and tomato - prepared with the freshest of ingredients). The staff are incredibly friendly and the service is nothing short of 5 star (in fact, service in some of the 5 star hotels we stayed in pales in comparison). It was a divine start to a brand new year. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I came with no expectations except for being able to spend some quality time with 7 other engaging women. But the orchid villa brought us together in ways I could not truly describe. The view as the sun came up in the mornings, the hospitality and service.. All came together to give us a memorable few days. Rooms were beautiful, well maintained and food was amazing.

If you have ever wondered what it's like to be a Maharaja, then wonder no more. This property is fit for a king (Ironically a certain princess who shall remain nameless was staying next door) It's hard to know where to begin the praise when it comes to a stay at the Orchid Villa, but here goes...
Is it the idyllic location perched amongst the forested peaks overlooking sacred volcanos? Only 20 minutes from the hubbub of Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali and a shopping Mecca, the likes of which I have never seen, this slice of Nirvana has to be seen to be believed. Stunningly appointed villas nestled amongst the topical canopy allow you the privacy and solace that you may have come so far to find. The heart of the property overlooking the pool was the meeting place for our family of 16. Here, meals that rivaled anything that we had eaten in Ubud, were prepared by the talented and attentive staff to order. As we had descended on the Orchid Villa for the wedding of the century, friends staying in Ubud traipsed through the house at all hours dinning, swimming and communing.
This is where the praise for the staff comes in... Ahhh the Balinese, no task is too great, no bride too demanding. I think they are telepathic! Putu "the butler" served us our cappuccinos poolside and planned our day, orchestrating transportation, volcano hikes and shopping expeditions. Our drivers Korman and Made had the patience of Jobe and accompanied us on day trips, maneuvering us safely through the chaotic roads of Bali.
Finally, praise for the visionaries Rick and Lita. Rick will nurture your soul and welcome you with open arms, while Lita the warmest mother of all mothers, with a wealth of hospitality experience, will ensure that your stay is 5 star
I had three guidelines for my wedding 1) Color scheme - black and cold 2)Flowers - white 3) Ceremony - Buddhist. Lita organized everything... hair, photography, appetizers wedding agent (essential in navigating the bureaucracy in Indonesia). An event of this caliber would have cost us $1000's in the us. Thanks to Rick, Lita, Maya and Mia and the most gracious staff, our wedding and stay at the Orchid Villa will remain as one of the most breathtaking and memorable experiences in my lifetime.

My sister invited me and her closest friends to Orchid Villa where we did a 3 day spiritual course and I was totally blown away by the experience. Firstly, the surroundings are breathtaking, an elevated position nestled in amongst lush gardens, waterfalls and spectacular views of the mountains you find yourself in a picture perfect paradise. Rick, his beautiful wife Lita truly make you feel at home along with Putu and wonderful staff. Each bungalow has a unique colour code with outdoor style bathroom in a leafy setting with waterfall which takes you back to nature itself in your own little sanctuary. You can choose the option to relax and do as little as you like, read, meditate, swim and enjoy the surroundings. Alternatively, Rick offers a 3 day spiritual course at the retreat. Despite being a somewhat spiritual person myself this course was a real eye opener. I was truly inspired by Ricks devotion to personal growth, his life experience and genuine desire to help people and share his wisdom. He elaborated on a lot of principles, gave great analogies, introduced new concepts, did guided meditations and answered lots of questions all injected with his warmth, kindness and great sense of humour. In a nutshell, it felt like I had spent 3 days with Eckhart Tolle in Ghandi disguise. Rarely in life do you have an experience which touches your heart and soul and leaves you feeling enriched by it. I can't recommend it enough. Thank you so much Rick and family.

What a great stay!
Despite visiting Bali during the rainy season, we had a really wonderful time at Orchid Villa. The rain came mostly in the mornings, and the whole complex is well-suited to handling it. Plenty of places to relax with a book while the rain is coming down. The view over the valley is absolutely fantastic, and the whole landscape of the villas is so lush and natural.
Putu, the concierge, was tremendous. He helped organize travel, activities like river rafting, and massages at the villas. The food was great morning, noon, and night. We left feeling fantastic. -

Orchid Villa made it one of the most memorable holiday experiences. This is perfect example of luxury at home i.e. this villa provides all the luxuries and at the same time gives it a homely touch. Owners are very friendly and interesting people. Location is absolutely unimaginable. It is very evident that there is lot of love put into make this place what it is. Minute attention and care is paid to every detail. This place is good half an hour drive from main Ubud town and only way to reach the town is with a hired bike or car. This might be of little concern if accessibility to town is important.

I can sum up our stay at Orchid Villa in three sentences. Firstly, the house and pavilions are beautifully appointed and the gardens and pools simply require hours of contemplation. Secondly, the location and environment are perfect for a relaxing break, close enough to Ubud for a bit of 'night-life' but far enough to make you think you're in the middle of virgin jungle. Finally, the people ... I really can't explain what a joy it was to meet such a great bunch ... it was like staying with a family you've known for years who just happen to run a beutiful 5 star hotel. My wife and I just returned from a 3 week vacation in Indonesia and the Orchid Villa was our favorite place that we stayed during our entire visit. Rick and Lita made us feel like we were part of the family. The food is yummy and their staff are top-notch.
We stayed for 5 days and thought it was a great way to start our trip in Indonesia. During our visit, we stayed in the white orchid and pink orchid rooms. The white orchid is the furthest room away from the main building but don't worry, it takes about 30 seconds to walk to the main building. Your walk will allow you to enjoy the beautiful and well maintained gardens. The pink orchid room is within the main building and affords you a view of the volcanos. If you want more privacy, go for the white orchid but unfortunately, it's the only room where you don't have a fish pond in your bathroom. Yes, it's pretty amazing to have a pond in your bathroom where you get to look at the fish while you do your business. This villa is truly amazing!
Prior to making my reservation, I read all the posts about the Orchid Villa and they're all true. I think the only reason why more people don't visit this villa is because it is not recognized on Trip advisor as a hotel.
Some helpful suggestions: I would ask Putu (service manager) to take you for a walk to the surrounding villages. It's a great way to see how most people in Bali live. Ubud is about 25 minutes away and will cost between $15 and $18. We took a cooking class that Rick and Lita can arrange for you. It was a great day of cooking, eating and education. The class is much closer to Ubud and they pick you up for free. We also took a mountain bike trip which again picked us up for free and dropped us off in Ubud. Otherwise, we spent our time around the villa and relaxed. I thought two afternoons/evenings in Ubud were enough.
My biggest concern before booking our stay at the Orchid Villa was the distance of the hotel from Ubud. After staying there, I can honestly say that this did not impact us in any way. On our mountain biking trip, we were the last people picked up and all the people in our van were blown away by the villa. That reaction should give you a good idea why everyone that visits the Orchid Villa gives in an Excellent Rating. Nat and I both agreed that our visit felt more like staying with family or friends. I know, you're reading this and probbaly thinking I'm blowing things out of proportion but if you do visit the Orchid Villa, I think you'll agree with us.

Because it doesn't matter which, this is the place for you. Heaven in Bali is anything you need. I stayed for 10 days, 4 on a spiritual retreat, the rest was purely "me" time. Beautifully maintained grounds lead to the most stunningly decorated rooms. A wonderful open planned kitchen, dining and lounge area open onto a visual oasis with a pool area, ponds, lush gardens and a view to die for.
A driver is at your disposal, and masseuses will come to the villa and pamper you with, quite frankly, the best massage I have ever had. Now onto the food. It is amazing. Most of the ingredients are organic, with a majority of the vegetables coming from the onsite veg garden. I tried a lot of local dishes, even though I am not a foodie. The staff were more than happy to adjust the heat, and western style meals are available. I highly recommend the coconut pancakes! (and the cookies, ask for the cookies!) The staff are so very welcoming, warm, friendly and just the sweetest. Nothing was a problem for them!
Now onto the true source of Heaven in Bali's magic - Rick & Lita (and of course Mia & Maya). I was greeted with open arms and a warm hug. During my time at the Villa, I came to know that Rick & Lita are living their best life, as their authentic selves. And anyone who has been will tell you about Lita's gift of her big smile and infectious laugh. They are a wealth of Ubud knowledge - so pick their brains too!
If you are in need of counselling or life coaching, I can attest to The Heart Mastery retreat run by Rick. We had 5 in our group. After years of traditional therapy, finally, tools that work! We all shared, laughed, cried, and most importantly, learnt more about ourselves and was given a new mind set to set us on our paths. I love each and everyone I was blessed to meet here. It was a true gift.
I will be back to visit as often as I can, you will feel the same. It really feels like you are home when in Heaven.

From the moment I entered I was overwhelmed. I had found Nirvana. The surroundings were so beautiful and the peace and tranquility was unbeleivable. Welcomed by Rick and Lita Pursell the experience started from the first moment. Their warmth,love,happiness was electric, this equally extended to their staff. The feeling was one of family and this is priceless. The food was of the highest international standards and each meal would outdo the next. Rick is one of the most amazing human beings,I have ever met, his wisdom, knowledge, intellect coupled with a background in the corporate world makes him a world class speaker, He had me and the others on our retreat engaged and connected the complete 3 days, In my capacity as a global co CEO I have met world leaders and am not impressed easily, however Rick needs to be heard and we need to learn from his wisdom. The calibre of other guests was most impressive.
I am looking forward to returning with both Staff and friends who hold executive roles and seeing the changes and transformations that occur in them. My life is free and I thank Rick and Lita Pursell for entering my journey. -

Simply put, Orchid Villa is magical. My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and we already want to come back.
The property isn't that large-there are 5 different villas: Orange, Yellow, White, Pink and Purple. We stayed in the Yellow Villa and it was beautiful. The villa is built over a small koi pond and the wooden structure is a rich reddish brown color. The bedroom has floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides of the room that overlooks lush tropical plants. The design of the bathroom is very unique; the far wall is composed of large black rocks, more tropical plants and a small waterfall. There is no roof over a small section of the bathroom so it gives you the impression that you are bathing in the wilderness. Sleeping in this villa was so peaceful-all we could hear at night were the waterfalls surrounding our villa and the crickets.
The rest of Orchid Villa is equally impressive. The infinity pool overlooks a lush jungle; you can even see some mountains in the background on a clear day. Sitting by the pool was a treat in itself. We could hear the wind rustling through the tropical trees, the fish splashing around one of the villa's numerous koi ponds and the wind chimes. Needless to say, it is a great place to relax, meditate, etc. We even saw several monkeys in the trees not to mention the frogs and lizards that roamed around the villa grounds.
The food is really good. I highly recommend the Bebek Betutu-smoked duck with Balinese spices that has been slowly cooked for 8 hours. I would also recommend the Mie Goreng-fried noodles with chicken and vegetables. We had the duck dinner at a secluded table. Petu lit a bunch of candles at the table; it was very romantic.
Overall, I highly recommend Orchid Villa. Given its small size, you feel like you are a guest at a good friend's place. Rick and Lolita, the owners, were friendly and always willing to answer all of our questions. Rick even led us on a 3 hour trek of the surrounding villages. Don't worry that the place is 25 minutes from Ubud. There is a driver that can drive you anywhere for a reasonable price. Plus, a lot of the activities like rafting and cooking classes will provide free roundtrip transportation. -

I came across this beautiful place by faith! I spent 2 weeks at the Orchid Villas and I didn't feel like a guest at all. The owners and all the stuffs made me feel very much at home. The location, breath taking sceneries, amazing architecture of the Villas, hospitality, food, services and everything was way beyond my excpectation.
I've traveled so many times to Bali and Ubud in the past year and I can say that by far, the Orchid Villas was the best place Ive stayed at in Bali.
If you are looking for some relaxation in a remote peacefull and beautiful place you should definitely choose Orchid Villas. This place is a home away from home!
I know that I will become a regular guest of this beautiful place. This place is paradise!

My family (young kids and elderly parents, besides us) wanted a different experience after staying at a 5-star hotel in Nusa Dua. We chose Rick and Lita's beautiful property near Ubud overlooking the hills and the valley. Everything is planned meticulously here - every detail in the rooms, an excellent kitchen and very helpful attendants. The place is like a dream abode and Rick and Lita's hospitality is wonderful. My family had a great time and highly recommend Orchid Villa.

I totally loved the Orchid Villas- This accomadation makes you feel like you are living in a five star resort, yet you feel a beautiful welcoming feeling, like a home away from home. I stayed for around 7 days in the Yellow Orchid Villa which was amazing! Beautiful private villa that seems to float over a koi fish pond. Luxury bathrooms, walk in closet, and even electric blankets on the bed incase you get cold! Falling asleep to the sound of nature was divine. The food, service and swimming pool are amazing! It was sad to leave!

Our family stayed here for 2 days and really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. The owners, Rick & Lita are lovely and welcoming and the staff are always smiling and helpful. The little waterfalls set in the tropical lush gardens are tranquil and the covered areas for dining outside provide truly beautiful views of the jungle and mountains. The food served by the kitchen is impressively good and fresh and was great value. We especially liked the soups. We did a walk through the village and rice paddies with Putu who speaks excellent English and is always smiling. We enjoyed our time in Orchid Villa, which I think is a little hidden gem and we came away feeling very relaxed and centred ready for the next part in our Bali holiday.

I had an amazing time here. Rick and Lita are the most wonderful hosts one could I ever hope for. The food is amazing and the view is impressive.
The room and the surroundings is really like being in the middle of mother nature so all these things made a perfect combination to have the perfect place for a retreat. So if you are looking for some days away from everything and be in peace this is the place to stay! do consider that given the altitude the weather tends to be more chilly than the Bali beaches. -

While reading the other reviews I found myself nodding my head excitedly, in total agreement as the memories started to flood back of the wonderful time spent/shared at the Orchid Villa. I wondered what I might be able to add (that you wouldn't have already gathered from the previous reviews). That is, about it being a wondrous location, where attention to detail is the norm, luxury is the key and every task is undertaken in complete presence (and with a smile!)

Vila Orchard is astoundingly beautiful from the minute you step inside the gates into the magical garden, ponds replete with carp, butterflies and dragonflies, delicate waterfalls and huge stones that become your path to the equally spectacular Villa. The villa itself is magnificent - traditional Balinese high ceiling open plan structure, stylish to the max, dripping with flower arrangements and smiling staff. Then before you you see the fabulous infinity pool and beyond a most expansive, magnificent triple mountain and misty valley jungle views. At this point you're starting to get that you have truly arrived in Heaven. The whole place is superbly decorated in Earth tones, as are the gorgeous large villa rooms with huge tropical bathrooms, each with generous stone baths in your own private carp-filled ponds, water cascading from beautifully landscaped rock walls with lush folliage & flowers... Remember we are just talking about your bathroom here! I could write a book about this place but suffice it to say- its a magical one. The owners are the most wonderful gracious hosts I've ever experienced - the food, drinks and service were fantastic. I highly recommend it and will most definitely be returning there when back in Bali...

Tranquility at it's finest. My stay in the Orchid Villa has exceeded my expectations. I've never been in a vacation that feels like coming home. It was my first time to travel alone, and I felt safe throughout my stay in the villa. Rick and Lita have been very warm and accommodating, and the friendly staffs are always there to attend to my needs. I love the food, especially the chicken curry and smoked duck! ;) I stayed in the Orange Orchid, and I loved the layout of the villa, especially the toilet and bath. Everything made me feel closer to nature - from the water that flows around the villa to the shower area surrounded by lush greeneries. The bedroom is clean and very cozy. The scenery from the viewing decks and from the infinity pool is amazing. It's overlooking the mountains, and it made me look forward to having a breakfast in the veranda every morning. The landscaping of the garden and the grounds is very natural, with flowing water and small ponds. There is no sound of traffic - only the sound of nature. The place is very romantic, especially the candlelight dinners, and it would be perfect as a honeymoon location. The whole place exudes with so much love that makes it hard to say goodbye. My whole experience was exhilarating, and I would definitely be coming back. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and to rejuvenate your soul, body and mind, this is the perfect place for you. It's a paradise on earth!

The Orchid Villa was 'heaven in Bali'. We had our honeymoon here and it was amazing. This is the best place we have ever stayed. The staff made sure we were very well looked after. They were friendly and had great english.The food was delicious and very affordable. There was no need to go anywhere else for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Truly wonderful!!

Staying at Orchid Villa is true to its title of Peace Harmony and Nature. The accomodation was luxurious, I stayed in the yellow room and it was perfect, peaceful and my whole stay I felt at one with nature. The outdoor shower was incredible, I loved being surrounded by the ponds and the the lush gardens. The view from the terrace, including the pool are absolutely amazing. Orchid villa provides a sanctuary for you to relax and replenish your soul. Rick and Lita are the perfect hosts and the staff meet your every need. The food is also amazing, healthy, organically grown on site and prepared by the nicest staff. Orchid Villa is a must for any weary travellers requiring a total rejuvination of life. Enjoy!

I was looking for a little peace haven! A retreat where I could escape the hustle and bustle, chill in natural surroundings and have the space to reflect on life's experiences! Orchid Villa exceeded my expectations and is truly "Heaven in Bali!
From the time I arrived to the time I left I was looked after and I felt as if I was the most important guest in Bali! As well as Orchid Villa being such a peace haven, Rick, Lita and their staffs hospitality was first class. As soon as I arrived, I was welcomed and made to feel at home and encouraged to use all of the Villas facilities and to explore the grounds. The Villa and the grounds are sensational! All of the bedrooms have their own individual style; they are spacious, comfortable, have the most amazing bathrooms and are spotlessly clean. The food was spectacular and whilst they have a great menu selection, the staff where more than happy to accommodate special requests and provide smaller portions!
Orchid Villa along with Rick, Lita and the staff has certainly touched my heart and I will be coming back! I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing or "special” holiday with either family, friends or even as a sole traveller.

Our family has stayed with Rick and Lita and their wonderful family and staff twice over the past two years. It is a warm, friendly, relaxing place enjoyed by the whole family. Comfortable, clean and peaceful and with everything you could need, it is within easy access of Ubud and its many fine restaurants and shopping. Our family prefers to largely stay put in the garden (which keeps the kids entertained for hours on end) and the open-plan house. The kids cried when we left and can't wait to go back.

Blessed to be in a gorgeous, luscious, and luxurious Balinese villa that oozed love out of every corner. Blessed to have yummy, nurturing food (the ginger tea is a must!). Blessed to have such an extraordinary family welcome me with open arms into the Divine space they have created at Orchid Villa.
Orchid Villa is so much more than a vacation rental. It's an experience that leaves you feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, joyful, blissful, as well as clear and grounded. Perhaps it was the yoga on the stone terrace overlooking the lush green forest below, or the evening swim in the infinity pool, or the morning breakfast on the deck with sounds of monkeys in the background...whatever it was, I'd definitely do it all again. And again and again.

Orchid Villa is the standout location. The setting is stunning, I have lead tour groups, focusing on meditation for many years and have travelled to many countries and had a huge range of experiences. The accommodation is top class with every detail taken care of. The service was friendly yet very professional. The food was excellent and the staff were very ready to take up suggestions. The owners Rick and Lita could not do enough for us while not being at all intrusive. The group members were all ecstatic and full of praise. It is uncommon to have every member of group satisfied with every element of a location and its services. We were there for over a week and I have returned several times and recieved consistenlty topclass service and been treated with every kindness. If you have the opportunity, I fully recommend that you stay here - I have no doubt that you will be thrilled with your choice and have a momorable experience.

This was our 4th visit to Orchid Villa. Our second was to be Married which was one of my most memorable experience's.
All we had to do was turn up, Rick and Lita organised all the rest our 55 guest where blown away.
As you decend the steps into the lush tropical setting of Orchid Villa your worries and cares seem to melt away. Rick and Lita are the perfect hosts and their staff are very attentive they make you feel you are the most important person in the world. I would highly reccommend this venue to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday with family or friends.

Our first thoughts upon arrival during a tropical downpour at The Orchid House on that amazingly beautiful volcanic mountain-top location were "What mysteries are waiting for us beyond those huge exotic garden gates and along that amazing path of huge stepping stones?"
We really had enjoyed our comfortable drive to those gates in the chauffer driven courtesy car. But, now our curiosity intensified further as we still couldn't even glimpse our final destination through the lush vegetation despite leaving the vehicle and being so close.
Well, we needn't have worried! The actual retreat and landscaping were soon revealed to us and proved to be unexpectedly beautiful, despite having heard very good descriptions from other friends beforehand. . It is a credit to it's very friendly, approachable owners and very obliging and attentive staff.
We had no complaints whatsoever and thoroughly recommend Orchid House to anyone wanting to relax and unstress in beautifully-maintained cool, tropical surrounds. It was so good, that we'd just love to build a spiritual retreat exactly like it right here in australia for ourselves one day.Thanks Lita and Rick ... fabulous stay and we hope to return again!

My husband and I and our 6 year old son stayed at the Orchid Villa in May.We were fortunate enough to have stayed 13 nights there. The property is magnificent, the views are to die for. The room that we stayed in was clean and comfortable, our outdoor bathroom was great,my son still tells everyone about having a shower and watching the koi fish in the pond that surrounded the bathroom.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
The Hospitality was fantastic.from the time we arrived at the Orchid Villa we were made welcome.the staff are so friendly and cant do enough for you.
We went out regular to sightsee and used the villas driver "Komang" he is a good driver and would take us where ever we wanted to go and would wait for us and take us to the next place he was fantastic.
As for Rick & Lita the owners they made us feel at home and so welcome.They would have to be the most genuine & beautiful couple that I have met.For people that we had just met we felt as though we had known them for years.
We thankyou Rick and Lita for an unforgetable holiday and to be able to share your piece of heaven in Bali. Our son speaks of you all at the Villa Orchid and we will be back soon.
I would highly reccomend the Villa Orchid to anyone traveling to Bali and wanting to stay in the Ubud area.

I've stayed at Orchid Villa many times over the past few years and I can tell you it is absolute paradise in Bali. The staff are attentive and very well trained, Rick and Lita are the perfect hosts and after a lot of traveling, I can honestly say that this is the best resort/retreat I have ever stayed in, I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
