      Relaxing holiday at Kuda angin

Left on 05/19/2012 for a stay in January 2012

Like many previous reviewers, we were pleasantly surprised by the level of comfort provided by the villa. The pool was great, my husband and son swam literally for hours every day. The courtyard with its fishpond provides a nice setting for an afternoon of reading and relaxing. We could not fault anything and hope to stay here again soon.

A spiritual haven and quality superior to other Villas we have

Left on 04/20/2012 for a stay in February 2012

The Villa brings the magnificent ambience of the outside flowing to the internal sections of the Villa. No matter where we were the peaceful scene was one to be devoured. The decor, pictures and ornaments add so much to the feel of luxury. It all begins at the entry pathway and front door. The Villa captures the beauty and atmosphere of Bali and all at such a reasonable price. The swimming pool is excellent with all the magnificent gardens surrounds with the fish pond with flowing water sounds and many coloured fish so delightful and relaxing.
Eating out is a must with so many Restaurants all in a short walking distance, so inexpensive. If you wished to experience many other eating places in Ubud central they are only a vey short taxi trip also very easy to hire so close and very cheap. The cost for Taxi's are very negational. All food was inexpensive a great variety and delicious. The 15 min. walk into Ubud Central is well worth it and the shopping is excellent. Recommend you have a Travel Card to obtain cash as there are many aTM machines nearby. Hiring a car with a driver is an excellent way to tour all speak great English and the cars are very modern with good air conditioning. Must barter with them it is approx $25 - $35 aust.$'s a day. We thoroughly enjoyed our2 weeks at Villa
Kuda angin. The house boy was so happy and friendly and kept the Villa ,gardens and pool in pristine condition.

Villa Kuda angin is extremely conveniently located, with close proximity to small shops and restaurants in Penestenan. It's a short walk down a path off the road so noise is not a problem. The house feels large and the garden is even more beautiful than photos can capture. The entire experience, from booking and check-in to departure, was pleasant. The house manager made the booking process very easy. There wasn't a single thing to complain about, truly!

      A very special special place

Left on 03/28/2012 for a stay in December 2011

Kuda angin has a certain "magic" that even its lovely photos don't do justice. The serene courtyard garden, the chirping of birds in the surrounding rice paddies, the breathtaking paddy view when you open the hand-carved wooden door in the back... it's all quite overwhelming, even spiritual. It's also in a great location, close enough to downtown Ubud to easily reach the restaurants bars, and tourist attractions, but far enough away to feel private and relaxing. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Glam and quite in Ubud at a great price

Left on 08/05/2011 for a stay in August 2011

Ou first stay in Ubud and we'd certainly go back to Villa Kuda angin if we were there again.
It sounded treally great and the villa lived up to all the pictures and descriptions we had seen on the internet. Such an economical spot and brekky of toast and fresh fruit, tea an coffee repared by Made each morning.

The gardens, courtyards, pool and back deck overlooking the soothing rice paddy is all lovely and far from the madding crowd down a little landscaped lane.
While its a 10-15 minute walk into the throng of Ubud, it was perfectly positioned and cost only $2.50 a taxi trip into town.
The local warung eatery next door provides good food and thre Eve spa down the road is a must visit for excellent massages. However, if you are into organic, wander out the back deck, across the rice paddy and into the little place in the middle of the fields for a beautiful facial with home made organic treatments starting at $6 for an hour.

A truly fabulous place to stay - and in so many ways...

Left on 03/25/2011 for a stay in February 2011

Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and in such a quiet setting. The local area around Ubud has loads of things to do but you could equally enjoy staying in, having a swim in your private pool then just sitting on your patio overlooking the rice paddies while drinking a cold beer and watching the sunset!

Beautifully decorated rooms View of rice fields from the verandah

Travelling with a person who has mobility impairment makes you wonder if Bali is the place to holiday. Let me assure you the answer is yes. When we arrived at the villa, access was easy, and behind the entrance we discovered a perfect home for our two months stay. Everything was on one level, perfectly designed with huge open air ensuites surrounded by tropical gardens, comfortable furniture throughout and a massive sparkling pool. At one end of the extensive garden was a Bale; opening the carved doors revealed a tranquil view over rice paddys; it was the perfect setting for evening drinks, watching the ducks head home with their keeper and the sky turning from pink to blue as the evening hush settled on the countryside. Breakfast was prepared and served by our smiling and helpful room boy Susanta, who then went about the chores of tidying and cleaning and attending to the garden. Transportation is easy and inexpensive to organise in Ubud and each day our attentive driver would arrive and take us off sightseeing, shopping or to a restaurant, or just to the local supermarket to stock up on supplies; almost anything you would find at home is available here. The weather during July and august was warm and fine; the perfect time of the year for elderly people to escape the cold of australia.

The villa was well located, close to restaurants and within 15 minutes walk to the main shopping area. The villa itself is well appointed and the house boy was very pleasant and kept the place beautifully clean every day. He also prepared a lovley tropical breakfast for us each morning. Best of all the villa is at the end of a walkway that removes it from all traffic noise and it has a great area to sit and view the rice fields which is probably the feature we enjoyed the most. It has two big bedrooms each with their own bathroom and a really good sized pool to exercise in. We could not fault the place and will come back there again.
