Miami, FloridaTop notch

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Villa Umah Cagaan in Pejeng.
The bedrooms were beautifully furnished, although there was a bit of wear in one of the bedrooms that could have had some minor repair. The beds were very comfortable, the aC worked well, and the bathrooms were spacious and maintained a traditional Balinese feel.
The rest of the villa was in perfect order, and the facilities were excellent.
Wayan and the staff went out of their way to make everything perfect for our stay. Breakfast was based on our requests (of which there were many for our family). Fresh squeezed fruit juice and many types of delicious breakfast choices were available.
For a few days, we didnt even leave the villa to do sightseeing. We just lounged at the pool, and the staff prepared meals that were better than most restaurants (really!). The food was well prepared and presented. The only downside of ordering food at the villa is that you must give notice a few hours in advance, but that was a small price to pay.
The facilities were more than we needed but much appreciated. The infinity pool and living room was where we spent most of our time, although some family members used the media room, had massages, manicures, and used the bicycles to explore nearby villages.
My biggest concern with Villa Umah Cagaan was its location as it was about a 20 minute drive from central Ubud where we had other friends staying. It didnt end up being much of an issue in the end, particularly as the villa would provide for a drop off and pick up, but I usually like to stay closer to town. Again, knowing what I know now about Umah Cagaan, I would certainly stay there again even though it is not in my ideal location. Others may prefer the rural setting near villages and rice fields.
My recommendation to the management company, which I feel served the guests very well, is to put more contact information on the web site. Half of my family was being picked up from the airport with a transfer, but I was driving direct to the villa hours before. I didnt really have a good reference from the website on how to arrive. This is my fault for not asking in advance, and Umah Cagaan had someone meet me nearby to take me to the villa. Again, service unsurpassed. Note: This would not be an issue for guests that have transfers to the villa directly. -

We were a group of 4 couples and this is the first time any of us stayed at a villa . Villa Umah Cagaan was quite simply - breathtaking with a humongous compound, comfy lounge area, perfectly sized swimming pool, 2 separate areas for dining , excellent cook ( the breakfasts were delicious with so many choices ! ) . The cook is capable of whipping up any number of tasty Balinese delights. Staff every ready to serve & bring us tea/coffe/juice with gentle smiles . Tasteful & artful furnishings perfectly complemented the serene greenery & river flowing behind the villa. Frogs croaking loudly in the lily pond upon sunset and "giant" gekkos prowling the ceilings were especially memorable.
The free handphone for guests to contact the Villa staff in case of emergency/pick up from Ubud was a very nice touch & highly appreciated.
It was unfortunate we spent so much time away from the Villa - it felt really good to come back and just relax - it was our "dream" home. In the mornings we could either walk/cycle to the main road/village , swim in the pool , work out in the gym or do tai-chi in the lawn. Best part was we could do all of the above in the privacy of the Villa and not be disturbed or risk bothering other guests.
Thank you very much to all the staff & manager for taking such good care of our group. Umah Cagaan was the highlight of our stay. Highly recommended !!
