Bolinas, CAVilla Satori is the very best place to stay while you are in Ubu
Left on 04/18/2013 for a stay in March 2013
You will have the epitome of Bali hospitality in this lovely place, just a short 10-minute walk from the enchanting town of Ubud. It is a dream come true for any length of stay-you will adore the service provided, as well as the views, food, art, privacy, and luscious surroundings. Walk around the rice paddies, meet gentle Balinese folks in the neighborhood, and enjoy the luxury at Villa Satori. The owner, Kasey, will tell you everything you want to know about the island and give you fantastic information to inspire your trip. Villa Satori reflects the magic of Bali and offers a rare and scrumptious place to enjoy this amazing island. There are many choices of where to stay when you are in Bali, but this one is a gem, and will not disappoint anyone. Enjoy!

This is my second time to vist Villa Satori. To be right near the heart of Ubud and yet so quietly away from it all is to be at Villa Satori. This lovely home is just perfect. Wake up and go off to yoga, then home for a lovely breakfast and a swim. Whether you plan to walk the market and the streets of Ubud, or dream your way along the rice paddies (stopping for a coconut just steps away) you'll always be happy to return to Villa Satori where you can have a masseusse waiting for you. Then dine al fresco before walking down to the evening entertainment just at the end of street where you live!
It's the best...can't wait to come back.Response from Kasey Petersen - 04/04/2013

Sant Fe, NMAnother stellar stay at Villa Satori!
Left on 03/31/2013 for a stay in February 2013
This is our second stay at lovely Villa Satori, and it was even better this time (we didn't think that was possible!) The gardens and orchids have grown so much, the outdoor living areas are lush and tropical, and the pictures do not do the villa justice. We loved falling asleep to the chorus of crickets and frogs, and we could rave forever about Wayan's cooking-especially the poached eggs on a bed of arugula with crispy shallots for breakfast. The rice field walk was our favorite thing to do, and especially enjoyed getting fresh coconuts from the friendly farmer at the little coconut stand across the path. We also had a chance to see the 3 new villas being built further down the path by the same owners. They appear to be of the same high standard as Villa Satori, and we plan to return and stay there with our entire family for a reunion next year. Highly recommended!

We are so glad to have you return to Villa Satori, and again experience the sights and sounds of true Bali life. Quite a change from the hectic pace in Seminyak. All of us, including the crickets and frog chorus, hope to welcome your whole family next year for your reunion at our new Satori Villas. Thank you for choosing Villa Satori!

Amazing value, incredible location. Kasey was a delight to work with, the villa is large but intimate, private and incredibly romantic. The best all around place we stayed. The house staff were warm and welcoming, daily chocolate, massages and meals were all stellar. Cannot say enough

We stayed for three and a half weeks at villa satori and had such a great time. The villa is at great standard. The staff are so kind and do everything to make you feel like a special guest. The breakfast is a highlight every morning with banan pancake, smoothe, omelette etc. The villa is also situated in the middle of the rice paddies, which is beatiful. But at same time short distance to downtown.
We all love villa satori and recommend it to everybody!

Villa Satori is simply breathtaking!! Nothing we have ever stayed in at Bali (in 4 visits) could ever compare with this place. Nestled right in the rice paddies, the views all round are spectacular and you can just sit and watch the vista for ages. Wayan is the most beautiful housekeeper, always there but completely subtle. She cooked us lovely breakfasts, and at the end of our long days we would find the villa lit, mosquito nets and doors drawn, and always immaculate. The walk into Ubud takes around 15 minutes, but there is a lovely walk through the rice paddies which is cooler and very pretty. The pool and gardens are beautiful, as was the dinner Wayan prepared for us during our stay. The beds, linens and bathrooms are gorgeous. Our family of 6 were so, so comfortable. I simply did not want to leave, and hope one day to come back to this little gem :)

This lovely home, nestled in the rice fields, was the perfect escape from the bustling village of Ubud (only a 10 minute walk ). The villa itself was spectacular. Beautiful works of art adorned every room, all of which had unobstructed views of the rice fields. Living in the rice fields awakens all of the senses: the green terraced rice paddies are breathtaking. You can see local birds and an occasional farmer working in the fields. You can hear the birds chirping, frogs croaking, and the waterfalls trickling. You can smell the moisture in the air after a fresh rain and the tropical flowers. There were so many places to relax- a comfortable living room, three decks, all with hammocks, and a wonderful backyard with a Buddha waterfall cascading into a very large a refreshing swimming pool. The beds were very comfortable, with luxury linens, and the villa was impeccably maintained. The best part of this home is the hosts. You can tell Kasey has included so many of her personal touches. There were umbrellas when we needed them, and even yoga mats for our use. Wayan and Ketut, our local hosts were so gracious. They had the knack of always being there when we needed something, but affording us total privacy. Wayan is a wonderful cook and it was such a treat to wake up to her banana pancakes or have a home cooked dinner after a day of touring. The villa's location is perfect. You can walk everywhere- shops restaurants, and yoga class. We were busy in Ubud- cycling, hiking, shopping, and bird watching, but I could return to this home every year and just enjoy the property. Don't miss the rice field walks, the fresh coconut water, chopped while you wait, from the tree just outside the villa, or chatting with the local artists along the way. You might just find a piece of Bali to take home with you!

My 11 yr old daughter and I were lucky enough to stay at this gorgeous property for ten days in april. The rice paddy location is breathtaking, and we had to really push ourselves to leave the villa. It's an easy 10 minute walk into town, where we loved seeing all the cultural dances, shopping for local crafts, and eating healthy food. The villa staff are darling, and took superb care of us. The villa is beautifully decorated with lots of art and kept sparkling clean, and we especially enjoyed the gardens, pool, and lovely outdoor spaces. Thank you to the owners, who have created an elegant home that is very warm and welcoming!

I spent a week at Villa Satori in December. What a beautiful & peaceful place. The owners have spared no expense in decor & landscaping. The staff were so gracious & accomodating. What a delight to wake up to fresh squeezed juice, a latte & fresh eggs for breakfast.
Villa Satori is just on the edge of Ubud right in the midst of rice paddies. It is a 5 minute walk to the city center which makes it both quiet & convenient.
