Villa Mangku is situated on the edge of the village of Bentuyung (pronounced Ben-too-yoong) at the top of the popular rice paddy walk, Villa Mangku is a 10 minute taxi ride from Ubud, or a pleasant 40 minute walk through the rice paddy fields to town.
The walled villa has four air-conditioned bedrooms (two Queen/two King) all with private ensuites. There are outdoor living areas on both levels, cable television, wifi, a stereo system, a guest kitchenette with bar area along with a separate staff kitchen, and a private in-ground swimming pool.

Our family had a great time based at the Villa, with it being in a rural location surrounded by rice fields. As the villa is on the rice paddy walk path, instead of a road, it is a lovely quiet area. Despite this it was only a short drive into the restaurants of Ubud, or half an hour walk down the rice paddy walk into Ubud.
The staff were great. Wayan prepared fantastic tropical fruit salad breakfast (my favourite) and crepes. The driver, Tono, organised and took us on a great range of trips around Bali, including shopping, elephant rides, temples and Batur Volcano. He was happy and courteous and knew all the best spots. Also handy getting pickup and drop off from the airport.
We must have been nearly the first to stay, as everything was new. The villa is a bit of a walk from the road, along a concrete path, but Tono & Wayan organised bikes to carry our bags. It was worth this to be away from the normal traffic.Response from BBE Bali Villa Management - 04/05/2013

I was looking for a villa in Ubud which gave me privacy plus no communal living like a resort.Well this is the complete package of a beautiful Balinese villa set amongst the rice fields with the most amazing views.To wake up to the views every morning with freshly brewed coffee and a sumptuous breakfast ,prepared by Wayan.It was hard to decide what we wanted for breakfast as the choice was varied.Deciding what to do for the rest of day was not hard.First couple of days we spent by the pool,unwinding,reading books,listening to music and grazing on a variety of food.In the evenings,we had the driver take us down to Ubud to a different restaurant every night.What can i say "simply the best holiday" when i needed oneThank you Villa Mangku
