CalgaryWell priced, clean, beautiful decor, good location, and friendly

Host was very welcoming and friendly. Though unit is in their home, it is accessed through it's own door and is very private. Charmingly decorated and very clean. It had everything we needed. The location is very near trails. A very short drive but a bit of a walk to main part of town with stores. I would recommend staying here and we hope we find ourselves back at Ruby's in Ucluelet in the near future.

We spent a very nice weekend at this lovely B&B.; Rather than stay in Tofino we wanted to check out Ucluelet, and we really enjoyed the more laid back feel of the town. Surfing in Tofino not a problem- the drive was easy and quick. This suite is decorated beautifully with thoughtful attention to detail- I went home with lots of decorating ideas. The bed was big and comfortable. Small, friendly, cozy, private and very quiet! Jennifer had lots of good info about local activities. We will be back-just have to get in a bit better shape to surf…

Stayed for a weekend to attend a wedding at Black Rock Resort. Close proximity drive to resort. Wonderful welcoming family. Delicious fresh baked goods for breakfast. Superbly maintained private spacious suite with many personal touches. Highly recommend as a home base while exploring Ucluelet/Tofino!

The service was great , with a great selection on snacks , board games , and DVD 's. The home was amazing with very cool ( artistic) concrete floors. The location is amazing, very easy too find, and right beside trails to the ocean. A short walk to shops and a market. Myt favourite thng was the trail and what I liked the least was not staying longer.

Ladner, BCA quiet one night stay
Left on 10/17/2011 for a stay in July 2011
It was hard to find a one night stay in Ucluelet during the busy summer months, so we were really pleased to find this quaint new spot. There is a spare bed adjoined to the kitchen, space is tight, but all functional, clean, comfortable. Hostess is supper friendly and nice. Coffee was great only suggestion might be to leave some bread & jam to toast (there was a toaster underneath if I recall rightly)as the muffin and yogurt were good, but a little toast can go one step further.
Thanks for a great stay,

Welcoming and charming hostesses (Ruby's smiles are so cute). Very nice, spacious and peaceful B&B; with nice furniture.
Perfect to visit and discover this part of Vancouver Island (Tofino & Ucluelet), with lots of trails and wild life.
Thank you Jennifer for your hospitality and the organization of our trip in Tofino to meet whales.

If you're after a little TLC and somewhere you can really relax, then Ruby's Riptide Retreat is the place for you.
Owner Jennifer really can't do enough for you, and her homebaked goodies delivered to your door everyday were a real treat.
The B&B;, though attached to the family home, has it's own entrance and plenty of privacy. You have all the comforts of home, with a kitchenette, a spacious lounge/dining area, seperate bedroom and a bathroom stocked with some lovely body lotions, shampoo and conditoner.
The location is very good only about 1 km from the center of Ucluelet and a short walk to the beach. There are also some lovely walks right on your doorstep.
Thanks again Jennifer.

Maastricht, the NetherlandsA warmly welkom and a beautiful place to stay!
Left on 10/09/2011 for a stay in August 2011
When we arrived we got a warmly welkom. The place was very nice. The breakfast tasted very good. We made perfect trips in the neighberhood, we went Whale watching that was exellent. In the evening we went for a walk called the Wild Pacific Trail. The trail started only 5 minutes from the B&B.; The trail was along the coast and it was beautiful, we walked about one hour and were glad we did it. The sunset we saw was magnificent.

Savannah, GACharming stay
Left on 10/07/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ruby's Riptide. Although we only spent one night, this would be a lovely B&B; for a multiple night stay. First it is three rooms with a small kitchen area. It is very charmingly decorated. Breakfast is in our own kitchen and provided lots of option including fresh fruit and homemade muffins (Yum). Everything organic which is really appreciated. Also, it is very private with your own entrance.
It has a great location, just off a wonderful walking trail. Also close to Ucluelet. We saw deer out our front window on the very first day!
Jennifer and her family were very gracious and gave us lots of great options for eating and activities. Thoroughly enjoyed this B&B.;

Sechelt, BCComfortable, clean, modern, quiet, relaxing
Left on 10/06/2011 for a stay in June 2011
I stayed here with a friend. It had everything we needed, two beds in two separate sleeping areas, kitchenette, our own bathroom, parking, easy access to the Wild Pacific Trail. I appreciated that the "breakfast" was an assortment of healthy snacks to eat when we wanted, or take along for the day, so there was no need to be awake by a certain time in the morning.
