This historic holiday home on the Owlpen Estate near Nailsworth sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. Grist Mill is an historic building on the Owlpen Estate near Uley. The cottage has a twin and a four poster double on the first floor, and on the second floor, a king-size double and a twin. There are two bathrooms. Downstairs is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. Outside is off road parking and a front lawned garden with furniture. Grist Mill makes a wonderful family base, full of character and comfort.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

This interesting building is in the middle of nowhere, in beautiful scenery with lots of walks nearby. We were made to feel very welcome. Downstairs accommodation is excellent. Stairs are very steep and care needs to be taken. Tall people will bang their heads frequently! In February, the upstairs was quite cold, despite the heating being on continuously. Beds are very firm and there are no proper showers - only baths. Mobile reception is very poor for most networks and there is no wi-fi in the house, though it was possible to use the network in reception, one minute's walk away.
Having said all that, we enjoyed the break, away from it all and would recommend it for those adventurous soles who like something a bit different.
