Description from the manager

Converted from a 17th century farmhouse, retaining many original features including a heavily beamed lounge with views over the fields which circumscribe the 3 bedroomed cottage.

Penruddock is conveniently located just a short drive off the M6 motorway with easy access to Lake Ullswater, only 7 miles away and Keswick only a 15 minute drive. The Caldbeck fells are also within easy reach providing a quieter haven for walkers than the hustle of the Lake District. There are 2 pubs within 1 mile and Penrith, the ‘Gateway to the Lakes', is only 10 minutes away providing a wealth of shops, bars, restaurants, cinema and much more.

      Lovely cottage, exceptional hospitality

Left on 04/15/2013 for a stay in March 2013

Three of us stayed in the cottage for a little under a week and absolutely loved it. Cosy and warm, plenty of space and equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. We were there in early spring and had stunning views of the snow-capped northern fells just out of the gate, and it was only a short drive to Ullswater or Keswick for walks, supplies or even more fantastic landscape.

David was a fantastic host, friendly and informative, and went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out of a bind when we lost the keys to our rental car. Holiday would have been something of a disaster without him I think! All in all, great cottage, would book again.

A thoroughly pleasant and relaxing cottage in which to enjoy Cum

Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in September 2012

Everything in the cottage was spotlessly clean and wanted nothing in respect of equipment and furnishings. There was plenty to do in the area surrounding Daisy Cottage including some very welcoming hostelries and restaurants. Moria and David (the owners) were very welcoming, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We would not hesitate to visit again.

Perfect cottage with everything you could ever need. Sat between Penrith and Keswick, it really was a great location for exploring the lakes.
Brilliant for children with lots of outdoor space. We all loved it.

we didn't want to go home...

Left on 08/27/2012 for a stay in August 2012

We loved our stay at Daisy Cottage, the welcome pack was appreciated, and all the essentials were there, from washing up liquid to handwash, to a bottle of wine...the cottage was clean and comfortable, with lovely views and attractive outside spaces, including a paddock where our grandson could play football and let off steam. The utility room was packed with dvds and books as well as a washing machine if needed. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and Moira had very kindly printed off some vouchers for local attractions for us when we arrived. Definitely recommended!

Really lovely, clean and welcoming cottage

Left on 08/18/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We stayed here with our three boys, and found the cottage excellent.
There was a hiccup in the booking, but we were quickly contacted by the agent to explain things.
A warm welcome from the owners on arrival and the boys were shown the field and barn where there was table tennis and footballs waiting...
The cottage itself was spotlessly clean, well looked after and had everything we needed.
Don't be put off by being near a main road - it is quiet at night and the view of fields and sheep is still there...
The place was very cosy and welcoming - we would happily go back.

      A real gem!

Left on 04/25/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Lovely cottage, very clean, beautifully furnished, I could live there permanently! Lovely touch to have dishwasher tablets, hand wash etc provided.
Only downside is proximity to the a66, road noise not a problem from inside the cottage, but I would imagine it would be a bit annoying when sitting outside on a nice day.
