Two bedroomed cottage converted from an old barn with patio garden to the front and paddock with picnin tables to the side.
Penruddock is conveniently located just a short drive off the M6 motorway with easy access to Lake Ullswater, only 7 miles away and Keswick only a 15 minute drive. The Caldbeck fells are also within easy reach providing a quieter haven for walkers than the hustle of the Lake District. There are 2 pubs within 1 mile and Penrith, the ‘Gateway to the Lakes', is only 10 minutes away providing a wealth of shops, bars, restaurants, cinema and much more.

This is a really lovely cottage, beautifully decorated, cosy & warm and really well equipped. It is in an excellent location for the North Lakes about 15 mins drive into Keswick, 10 mins to Ullswater, 10 mins to M6. I would imagine its proximity to the a66 might be a problem if you are sitting outside in the summer and are easily disturbed by road noise, but the advantages easily outweigh that. We stayed in the adjacent cottage at Easter and would definitely book again, the owners are really friendly and we were able to arrive early and leave later as there was nobody in the cottage immediately before or after us.

Probably the best cottage we have ever stayed in. So well equipped and cosy.
Would recommend this to anyone looking for a great central location in the lake district.
Two pubs within walking distance. Penrith just 5 miles away with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. Ullswater just 4 miles away. The owners are very pleasant and helpful if there is anything you need to know.
Can't wait to go back! -

This cosy little cottage was really thoughtfully and tastefully appointed with everything you could possibly need.
It was ideally situated for days out in both the lake district national park, and the pennines.
Extremely peaceful, no noticeable road noise or farmyard noises! -

The cottage was spotlessly clean with all the local infomation awaiting us, the owners were available to offer advice and assitance if required.
The cottage itself was of a high quality with everything we could require, for a holiday.
The location was ideal, in that it was close to the motorway and Keswick, the heart of the lake district. But also rural with spectacular views and a real sense of being in the middle of one of the major beauty spots of the UK. All local amenities, ie, supermarkets and good quality resturants were within easy reach.
My only critisim was that I had to leave. -
