Good location for all areas of the Lake District. Reasonable price, which included a parking permit. Well stocked house, ample space for three. A good variety of restaurants and shops in Ulverston. Friendly, helpful host.

      Very convenient location!

Left on 09/28/2012 for a stay in September 2012

Well-equipped and cosy apartment in the midst of everything on a main street above a shop. Convenient for shopping, the market, pubs and local walks. We enjoyed our stay here although it can be very noisy but that didn't bother us too much. Would benefit from redecorating! Car parking permit provided really appreciated.

Comfy time in great little town

Left on 09/13/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We like to be in the middle of town so we can walk to local amenities yet have a tucked away feel and Lile Gem was perfect. It has a dated interior but that did not detract from the space , comfy beds and good bathroom. Sitting out space not pretty but great for sitting out in the sun and very often flats have no outside space. We had a great week and were always happy to return to the flat. Would stay again and hope to

      A second home

Left on 08/05/2011 for a stay in June 2011

My husband and I stayed here for two weeks in June as we were visiting Ulverston for a family wedding. Born and bred in Ulverston this was just like coming home to me and we were so pleasantly surprised with this place - it is just so charming and homely with everything you could possibly require - even a sewing machine!!! I would really like to give it a bad review so that it is always available for when we next visit.
This place is in the centre of everything so it is handy to nip across the road to get fresh bread and groceries every morning. You also get the added bonus of having free parking - otherwise it would cost you about six quid a day to park.
It is not suitable for people with disabilities given that being a flat there are stairs to get to the flat and steep stairs to the bedrooms and bathrooms.
A great base for seeing the south lakes and the Furness region
