      Great for family or group

Left on 04/16/2013 for a stay in March 2013

The villas were large and spacious. We had 5 adults and 3 young children and the grounds and pool were perfect for all of us. The villas and grounds were all very clean and well maintained. The staff were all lovely and babysitting was easy to organise. The cooked meals were all fabulous.
There are a few things that could be improved. Some new towels are needed as some of ours had holes. A coffee machine would also be beneficial as the villa is quite far away from the hustle and bustle. The Internet access was quite poor and expensive. You have to purchase wireless Internet which often dropped out and had lots of spots that it could not be detected. An Internet service should be provided as part of the booking. The breakfast provided is not really continental, it is toast and fruit. There could be more provided as part of the included breakfast.

      Wonderful!

Left on 02/27/2013 for a stay in February 2013

My family and I have just returned from our stay at Mia Villa. It surpassed our expectations, comfortable, lush gardens but no problems with mosquitoes whatsoever, fabulous pool, quiet and very relaxing - just what we needed. The staff were attentive but unobtrusive. I can't praise the whole experience enough and will certainly return.

Had a great time at the villa. There was 8 of us and we enjoyed the villa so much! We had rented a car beforehand, thanks to the villa manager. But ended up spending most of our time at the villa. The staff were more than helpful and the gardens and pool were beautiful. Can't wait to go again

      Love Love Love Mia Villa

Left on 08/21/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Mia Villa is a beautiful villa with gorgeous established gardens and lots of space. Loved the outdoor bathrooms, the large bedrooms and the pool area. The staff were super friendly, great cooks and nothing was too much trouble. It was in a good location, away from the craziness of the busy areas but still close enough for it not to be a trek into town. We can't wait to come back again. Love love love Mia Villa!

      We loved this villa!

Left on 02/16/2012 for a stay in June 2010

This villa is beautiful and the established gardens are a real delight. Great size pool and sunny yard for lying around.

The staff were fabulous...lovely food and great service.

The outdoor bathrooms definitely had the vow factor.

Despite being a taxi ride away from the beach, restaurants and shops, we were all happy with the location. Taxis were cheap and plentiful, and it was nice to go back to the Vila which was quiet and restful.

      Fantastic

Left on 12/15/2011 for a stay in November 2011

We stayed at this fantastic villa in November 2011.
After a not too interesting drive (villa driver service) from the airport to the villa we arrived at this fantastic villa. It was like arriving to your own designed paradice where every little detail of the especially the garden is very carfully planned. The villa accomodated all 9 of us easily, 4 adults and 5 kids at the ages between 6-10. The staff was very friendly and very eager to help with all sorts of things; arranging driver, dinning out, shopping, coocking etc. It was with greate reluctance that we left after a fantastic week.

Another slice of paradise - unforgettable

Left on 06/14/2011 for a stay in November 2010

Our group of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids) spent 5 nights at Mia Villa in November 2010. We found this villa after staying next door at albia Villa, which is owned by the same people. Check out my review of albia Villa as well.
Although the villa does offer a pick up service, we made our own way as we had been up North. Walking through the door felt like coming home. We were greeted with big familiar smiles by all of the staff, and treated like family.
Mia Villa is stunning. The entrance doors lead you straight into the open air loungeroom, and then onto the pool and garden area.
There are two interconnecting bedrooms under the main room, and then two more freestanding bedrooms to the rear of the property. All bedrooms have open air bathrooms, bed beds (king or two singles) and gorgeous furnishings.
Beside the loungeroom is the dining room and kitchen, and then above the dining room is the second floor chill out lounge. This lounge is a great place to watch the sunset, overlooking the villa pool as well as the surrounding rice fields.
The staff at the villa are beyond reproach. They are literally at your beck and call, but fade into the background and give you complete privacy when not required.
Of particular note are Juwani and Desi as well as the villa manager, Arya.
A basic breakfast is included as part of your stay, however the staff will shop for you, and cook whatever food and whatever meals that you request. Just give them some notice. They charge you for the groceries only, and provide a receipt. The rest is complimentary. We started a kitty and left the money in a bowl at the start of our stay. This seemed to work well, as, along with breakfast foods, we used this service to keep our fridge stocked with snacks and drinks.
The staff also offer other services such as baby sitting, tour and restaurant bookings etc. They also make great blended cocktails for you to drink whilst lazing in the pool. Just show them how you like things, and away they go.
If you want something else from the team, just ask. Nothing is too much trouble.
On our last night in the villa the staff cooked Babi Guling for us. This is a balinese delicacy, baby spit roasted pig. In a restaurant you'll pay upwards of aUD$100 to feed 4 people, we fed our group of 8 plus 8 others, including traditional side dishes, for less than aUD$50. This was a treasured experience, and one we will be repeating soon.
We're heading back to stay in both albia and Mia Villas in March 2012 (group of 16). I can't wait to be welcomed home by arya and his team.
      Some other things to note:
Deposit - You are required to pay a 50% deposit to confirm your booking. It will take several weeks to recieve confirmation that the money has arrived. Don't panic, but don't be shy about following it up either.
Value for money - This villa offers fantastic value for money. Its around 10 minutes out of Seminyak, still close to beaches, shopping and restaurants, yet half the price of anything even close in comparison in the heart of Seminyak.
Transport - Grab a taxi or get a driver. Take a card with you the first time you go out, as some taxi drivers aren't really sure where it is. The villas are right beside Umalas stables, use that as a tool to guide drivers in the right direction.
      Enjoy your stay.
