This semi detached cottage is located near to Umberleigh in Devon and can sleep six people in three bedrooms. Exmoor Cottage is a semi detached cottage near to the village of Umberleigh in North Devon. The cottage sleeps six people and has two single bedrooms, one double room, a double sofa bed and a family bathroom. Also in the cottage is a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area. Outside the cottage is off road parking for two cars, an external games room, a children's play area and a shared use of five acres of grounds. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

We arrived at the cottage after a long drive from Kent. We had 6 weeks to see as much of the Southern part of the UK as possible. We chose Unberleigh as it seemed to be close to Banstable, Exmoor, Lynmouth, Luton, Clovelly and a base to go to and over-night in Cornwall and spend a couple of days there. Umberleigh worked worked very well for us in this regard. We arrived to find the fridge stocked with milk bread, eggs (home grown) bread and and other stuff. Most appreciated. Took our Hosts advice and went to a local pub for dinner which turned out to be the best pub grub we had in 6 weeks. We booked our anniversary dinner there later in the week and were greeted with a table set up for us complete with card and candles. Wow. We went to the crystal works at Great Torrington, just down the road, we now know why crystal is so expensive. We visited most of the places we wanted to see. The travel advice we recieved from our hosts was very helpful.
Would we go back?
You bettcha.
But we need to win Lotto first as its a long expensive haul from New Zealand.
For a cottage that is very cmfortable, very accessible to exmoor and the West Coast Exmoor Cottage has to be top of your list.
