8 Wedgewood Terrace is situated directly across the road from the access to the main bathing beach (Bronze Beach) in Umhlanga Rocks.

This luxury, 4 star graded, self catering apartment consists of a lounge, dining area and a fully fitted modern kitchen. There are two double bedrooms with a main en suite. The apartment can comfortably sleep four people with a King-size bed in the main bedroom and two single beds in the other bedroom. There is an additional bathroom and toilet. Quality linen and bath towels are provided. Off the lounge and the main bedroom are sliding doors onto a private patio with partial views of the sea. Sit on the... patio and listen to the sounds of the ocean whilst enjoying your sundowners or that cup of coffee in the morning. The modern kitchen has granite tops and is beautifully appointed and fully equipped. There is also a microwave oven, under counter oven and hob as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer. The apartment has satellite TV (DSTV) as well as a DVD player. The apartment is air conditioned and there is also a ceiling fan in the lounge and each of the bedrooms. The apartment is serviced daily except on Sundays and public holidays. A Weber gas braai (barbeque) can be enjoyed on the patio leading off from the lounge. There are numerous hotels in the immediate vicinity where children can enjoy ten pin bowling, game arcades etc. Enjoy a walk along the 5kl Promenade on the beach or a stroll along the nature trail through the Hawaan Forest which is on the doorstep of 8 Wedgewood Terrace. There are several family and up market restaurants in easy walking distance of the apartment. 8 Wedgewood Terrace is so ideally situated, one can virtually park your car at the beginning of your holiday and have no need to use it again for your entire stay. 8 Wedgewood Terrace is a five minute drive from Gateway, (the largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere), twenty minutes drive from Durban, the International Conference Centre (I. C. C.) and U Shaka Marine World. Durban International Airport is a twenty minute drive from Umhlanga Rocks. There are several fine restaurants in the village or at Gateway Shopping Centre. A private first world hospital is a five minutes drive away by car. There are several world class golf courses in the immediate vicinity including the prestigious Mount Edgecombe and Zimbali courses.

Umhlanga Rocks is one of the most sought after holiday resorts in South Africa whilst still retaining its unique seaside village feel. The world heritage site of Lake St Lucia, the Umfolozi / Hluhluwe Game Parks and the majestic Drakensberg Mountains are all within easy reach from Umhlanga Rocks.

The maximum occupancy of four persons in the unit (4 persons) must not be exceeded under any circumstances. Failure to adhere to this will result in the extra people having to move out with immediate effect, or the booking will be cancelled and no refund given.

Quality linen and bath towels and swimming towels are provided.

The apartment is serviced daily except on Sundays and Public Holidays

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS LIMITED VISITORS PARKING AND NO TRAILER PARKING. A STANDARD SINGLE GARAGE IS PROVIDED FOR YOUR VEHICLE


GENERAL CONDITIONS:

To avoid any misunderstanding, a booking constitutes a binding contract. All guests confirming a booking are advised to take out insurance to cover the full cost of their accommodation in the event of a cancellation. We will seek compensation for any cancelled accommodation that cannot be re-let, including premature curtailment.

Check in time is from 2pm until 7pm. Late check-ins to be arranged prior to arrival. Check-ins after 9pm will incur a surcharge of R200,00.

Accommodation will be automatically cancelled if the deposit is not received by the due date.

Deposits are not refundable in the event of a cancellation or non arrival

  This two bedroomed apartment is beautifully decorated and is excellently located to the main beach in Umhlanga. I stayed here with my husband and friends of ours with their 11month old baby and there was plenty of space for all of us. The balcony albeit slightly small, catered for the four of us to sit and enjoy our meals. A bonus is the washing machne and tumble-dryer which came in handy with having an infant around. All in all, a wonderful stay and would definately recommend.

  A Bit Jaded

  Although this apartment is tastefully and well-furnished, the building where it is situated is old and needs paint and maintenance. There is rust and peeling paint and an eyesore from the outside.
  
  The apartment itself is spacious - the view is over a lush garden and has a very limited sea-view. I was under the impression that the property had been awarded five stars (as the stationery confirming my reservation indicated) but, on arrival, found that it was a four star graded property.
  
  Although the furniture is tasteful, the wingback chairs need to be professionally cleaned
  and look jaded and the sofa looks a bit worn.
  
  A comfortable apartment but I would not put it in the "luxury" category.
  
  The kitchen is extremely well equipped.
  
  Very limited Television Channels.

  Thank you for taking the time to write and provide us with feedback on your stay at 8 Wedgewood Terrace.The exterior of the building is scheduled to be painted during the winter months after the rainy season has finished. 8 Wedgewood Terrace was originally graded as 5 star accommodation and was re-graded as 4 star accommodation during the course of last year.
