Great Home away From Home
We stayed Columbus Day Weekend 2012 (best colors ever). The views from the deck/livingroom were awesome (the cable railing really opened it up and enhancedthe views)and will be any season. Mike and Mini were a treat to deal with, very professional and had the cabin ready for us. There were notes anywhere to describe or inform of good to know.
The house itself was a perfect home away from home, it had everything we needed and then some. The downstairs master suite was very comfortable and cozy. The living room was open and a nice place to hang out and play cards, game setc...The cabin accommodated the 5 adults of our family easily.
We love the Upper Jay area as home base while in adirondacks, short drive to Keene, Wilmington (try the little supermarket for the most awesome sandwiches), Ausable Forks etc... Ad the cabin is located off the main roads so it does appear secluded.
Thank You Mini and Mike for a great stay.
Great adirondack Getaway - Great Hosts
"My wife, 14 year old son and I rented adirondack Views from Mike and Mini and definitely plan to do so again. They are wonderful hosts - friendly professional and very helpful. The chalet itself is very charming, spacious, well appointed and set on a beautiful spot with a balcony overlooking a meadow, trees and mountains. The location is close to hiking, waterfalls, canoeing and yet secluded enough to give you a peaceful adirondack experience. Do not hesitate to rent from Mike and Mini. You will have a wonderful vacation."
Chalet for our family adirondack getaway was a home away from ho
If you are looking for an affordable, comfortable, and clean chalet loaded with home amenities during your stay in the adirondacks this is the place! Our family of four had a great time at our "home away from home". The chalet is totally family friendly and it suited our needs quite amicably. It's out of the way enough to feel like you are really "getting away" but close enough to everything you could want to do while experiencing the adirondacks.
Confortable and convenient.
We spent two weeks at this house with my wife and two
children. We needed a home with an internet connection
since my wife was teaching an online course during our
stay. Mike and Mini were very helpful in providing accessaries for our baby daughter-they gave as a crib, a high chair and safety gates. They also agreed to shift our dates slightly a few days before our arrival. The house is very comfortable-we especially liked making a barbecue on the deck. The location is very quite but it is quite close to Lake Placid. Also there is good hiking and fishing nearby. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return here again.

Awesome place to relax...
If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, look no further. This cabin is on a dead end road with minimal traffic but close enough to "town" to make everyone happy. There are a string of pretty small towns in the area with nice little shops and wonderful places to eat. You do not need to travel far to get everything you need!
Also, the cabin itself is marvelous! Cozy, comfortable, all the comforts of home, and an amazing view. We watched ducks, deer, and horses right from the back deck...don't look this place over!
New York City
This is the second time we stayed at the chalet and our stay was once more perfect.
The chalet is big, clean, luminous, fully equipped and very cosy. We immediately felt at home, and Mike and Minnie are so thoughtful, you really feel welcome.
The location is ideal, the hikes great, the view breathtaking and the quiet mesmerizing.
A wonderful experience!
Cozy, comfortable, homey! All you could ask for in a chalet/cabin.

Solitude Meets Convenience
This chalet is a great retreat. It offers easy access to both Whiteface and Lake Placid, yet is set on a private piece of countryside that allows guests to feel secluded and peaceful as well.
The interior is comfortable and rustic - we ended up spending more time just relaxing inside together than we had expected.
Additionally, Mini and Mike are very friendly, flexible, and accommodating to work with. Great rental-by-owner experience.
Relaxing Ski Vacation
This was a repeat visit to the chalet. We had a wonderful time staying there. The house has a beautiful view of the countryside and Whiteface Mountain. The kitchen has everything you need for any kind of cooking. The beds are comfortable and the living room has a t.v. as well as a nice stock of movies to watch and games to play. The house is a short drive from the ski slopes and also a short drive to Lake Placid where there are plenty of nice restaurants, great shopping, and other activities to partake in at the Olympic Village.

Great location, very nice chalet, fit our family perfectly.
The chalet is 6 miles from Whiteface, so we were able to travel quickly to the mountain to ski. On a clear day you can see the mountain from the chalet, very nice. Wonderful master bedroom, complete with king size bed and fireplace. It's very cozy and comfortable. Loft for the kids to sleep and hang out in. Very workable kitchen to cook our meals in. Enjoyed staying at the chalet very much.

A place with the perfect balance of relaxation & activities!!
Just when my friends &I; thought we wouldn't be able to find the perfect place to meet everyone's wants for this break from our busy work lives, we came across the chalet. At first glance we just figured it would be a cozy place to stay & it was definitely reasonably priced for the large amount of space we were going to get. Once there, we realized we actually got so much more than expected. The chalet was super tidy & welcoming. It made us feel like being in our own personal vacation home instead of the typical hotel room. While there we were able to enjoy everything from sitting with a book, a good cup of coffee & the spectacular view from the back porch, to very easily making our way to White Face Mountain followed by Lake Placid. Given the chalet's fully equipped kitchen, we were able to balance between having a couple of good meals in a few spots we wander upon during our ventures out in the area & keeping some things at the chalet that we made our selves. Two of my friends found their way to one of the many near by hiking trails & spent a few hours working their way up the trail & back. Since I'd stayed in that day to just catch up on much needed relaxing, I prepped some food for their return & we all enjoyed a great meal followed by an exciting game of Jenga. It's amazing how the little details of even having games & movies available for those visiting were provided for use. All in all we had more fun than we could've hoped for & we look forward to being able to get back up there in the near future to get a chance to see what it's like at different times throughout the year. I can only imagine with the warmer weather the added fun one could have either playing Frisbee in the back yard or going to the river to a spot we found that looks like it would be great for swimming. The five hour ride from the city was well worth it & actually flew by. Me & my friends look forward to going back & will definitely be telling our friends about this place!

Thank you Ms. Simone for your kind words. Mini and I work hard at providing the exact atmosphere and vacation experience you have spoken of. We appreciate your review that reassures us that we have succeeded. We promise though, we will not just sit on our laurels with this knowledge, but move forward in an effort to improve the chalet and future guests' experience with new ideas & projects. Thanks again and we wish you well & of course, Happy Returns!!
