The house is at 5 minute drive form main town Urubamba in Sacred Valley. 30 Minutes walk from town. It is surrounded by walking trails and just far enough from main street that goes to Mayor arqueological sites as Ollantaytambo. It is also 5 minute drive to station to take train to Machu Pichu.

J' ai beaucoup apprécié le calme et le confort de la maison, le jardin qui l'entoure est très agréable.L' accueil a été très satisfaisant, les excursions proposées nous ont permis de découvrir la vallée sacrée des Incas et ses sites archéologiques ainsi que la cuisine péruvienne et ses saveurs.

Nos alojamos en el Recoleta Cottage con mi familia en diciembre de 2012. La casa es muy cómoda y acogedora, y está en un lugar muy tranquilo, relativamente cerca del centro del pueblo. Los administradores nos trataron especialmente bien y nos ayudaron en todo lo que pudieron para organizar nuestros paseos por el Valle Sagrado. Tenemos los mejores recuerdos de nuestra estadÃa en Urubamba, gracias!

I wish all my travels were like this one.
Extremely good service by our hosts, comfortable accomodation in Rio Grande Cottage which is a very nice house with beautiful gardens. Clean and cozy.
I had the chance of discovering the Sacred Valley of Urubamba with profesional guides and taste peruvian food in very good restaurants.
I shall recommend this to all my friends traveling to Peru. -

The Recoletta Cottage is a house within a condominium. Nice and safe place to stay, ideal for a family or friends with 3 bedrooms. Excellent location as it is close to Urubamba town centre. The managers were very friendly, helpful with all my enquiries and did their best to make sure I had everything I needed.

We has a wonderful time in the Recolletta Cottage this past January. Our group of 5 stayed in the Cottage for 4 nights, but we wished it was many more! The Cottage is located in a very peaceful area that is quiet and beautiful, but you are also able to walk into town for dinner. The Cottage has everything that you need, including gorgeous views and a nice fireplace to sit by in the evenings. Our hosts were wonderful and they made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They also coordinated wonderful tours for us around Cusco and the Sacred Valley. I would highly recommend the Recolletta Cottage for anyone looking for a peaceful vacation in the center of the Sacred Valley. I hope to be back sometime soon!

From the moment we arrived we knew we had found somewhere special. We stayed in the Valley for one week and were 100% happy with everything. From the minute we arrived until being dropped back off at airport at the end of our stay - everything was wonderful! To start things off we were courteously met at the airport and provided comfortable transportation to our rented cottage. We were served coca tea (for help with altitude) immediately after we arrived which was very nice. Our host also had great suggestions for local restaurants and tours which was a thoughtful way for us to start our vacation.
Our cottage was sparkling clean, spacious, and well decorated. It had all the amenities of home including down comforters, glasses, dishes and all cookware, which was 100% better than staying at a hotel. We also took advantage of the healthy breakfast and lunch which was specially prepared with such enthusiasm by the Managers. The care they put into every detail of our stay was beyond all expectations! The gatherings after tea time with delicious desserts, the warmth of the fireplace, and very clean and comfortable rooms wherever you went were beyond memorable. Everything was very modern with plenty of hot water and a full kitchen to prepare anything you wanted if you chose not to go out for the day. And the free internet was also a very special bonus.
Our cottage was in a very beautiful location and was quiet, secluded, and very relaxing. In the morning you could hear many birds singing and in the evening you could enjoy the orchestra of crickets off in the distance. The walk to the center of town was only about 15-20 minutes and was very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views as well. When you arrive there you can shop at a local market or many of the small shops that are there as well.
Many thanks go out to the Managers for the wonderful and relaxing days we spent at Valley & Life. We could not have made a better choice for our vacation. From the moment we arrived, we felt like old friends were waiting to greet us and constantly checked on us for our entire stay. We will always remember the inspiring view from our cottage through the window overlooking the mountains. It was spectacular!
It was a very nice stay in the Sacred Valley and I hope to repeat the experience many more times in the future. I will never tire of recommending this place to anyone who wants to relax and spend some time unwinding in this wonderful place.

Familia franco peruana residente en arequipa buscamos un casa por el mes de noviembre en Urubamba que sea comoda para una famila con dos bbs(6meses y 2años)
Tuvimos la suerte de alquilar a Valley and Life el cotage de recoleta que se encuentra en un condominio lo cual nos daba toda la seguridad que buscamos a 10minutos del centro a pies y al mismo tiempo alejado de los ruidos de la cuidad.
Confortable, limpio y acoredor la casa nos gusto a pena entrado... encuentranos una silla de comer para bb y una cuna...!!! gracias a los administradores por ese agreable sorpresa!
El jardin atras nos daba toda la intimidad familiar y los espacios comunes adelante fueron una area de juego para el mayor que los disfruto mucho.
En la cocina bien equipada cocinamos como en casa, el estar con cheminea y tv estuvo perfecto para todos y los cuartos comodos y calientes nos permeti descansar en toda tranquilidad ; realmente recomando ese cotage para familias en nenos!

We loved our stay at the Recolleta Cottage. We had a wonderful breakfast every morning. We lit a fire in the fireplace every night. We enjoyed reading on the back porch every evening. The cottage is in a compound with 8 other cottages. There are no barking dogs or roosters to wake you up...just quiet! We enjoyed Urubamba for an entire week with teenagers...studying Spanish, learning salsa and visiting all the nearby sites. The place was spotless, the service wonderful and the cook was the best in the world. We were over 7 weeks in Peru and teh Recolleta Cottage was the highlight!

We absolutely loved staying here!
The property is wonderful! It is much better than how it looks on pictures. It is spacious, cosy and allows for a great family experience. The location in Urubamba is unbeatable for those that want to cover most of the must-see places and also hit the unbeaten track.
The managers were not only kind and welcoming, but offered assistance on getting around, purchasing tickets and organizing tours. They gave us valuable tips on ways to save on trains and housing in aguas Calientes.
We can't wait to come back! -

Tengo que reconocer que tenÃa un poco de miedo de viajar a Perú, pero después de hablar con un compañero del trabajo que estuvo el año pasado y me explicó que todo son tópicos, me animé, y tengo que decir que es verdad, que todo son tópicos, que sà que tienes que tener cuidado según donde te metas en Lima, pero acaso no Pasa Tambien EN Madrid?.
Yo sólo estuve un dÃa en Lima y tengo que decir que comà estupendamente, mas en sà mi viaje se centró en Cuzco donde estuve siete dÃas, y fue increÃble, pues no te acuerdas de la inseguridad por que no existe, es todo alucinante y tranquilo. Me alojé en la casita de Valley and Life Vacation Rentals que es un servicio novedoso para el Valle Sagrado y también fantástico. Es una casa en pleno corazón del Valle, en Urubamba, en la zona rural. Tomar una casa aquà es la mejor opción para mà como viajero, realmente fue la mejor decisión, pues tuve un espacio propio, personal que no me ofrecÃa el hotel. Aquà todo fue perfecto los desayunos sabrosÃsimos, super nutritivos y variados cada dÃa que nos quedamos.
La casa se encuentra muy cerca de todo lo que le interesa al viajero en Cusco, los lugares mas importantes que visitamos desde aquà a un costo menor en tiempo que es lo que me importó mucho, pues los dÃas vuelan cuando uno viaja, y a un costo dinero menor, ya que no hay que trasladarse cada dia a Cusco para tener que retornar al dia siguiente de nuevo hasta el valle.
El confort de las Casitas de Valley and Life es por demás perfecto (tiene todo lo que necesité y más, jardines, sala, comedor chimenea, cocina) camas super confortables, con cobertores de plumas, sabanas super limpias, es decir, servicio de hotel pero en tu casa!! y la calidez fue perfecta, siempre la tenÃan para nosotros bien limpia y bueno los administradores excelentes en su trato, nos brindaron no sólo calidez sino cercanÃa, nos sentimos como en casa. Ellos siempre estuvieron dispuestos a darnos un servicio extra, consejos, y sugerencias de dónde comer, qué hacer, y hasta suministrarnos los tickets, entradas, traslados y demás, evitándonos perder nuestro tiempo en correr a hacer largas colas o levantarnos demasiado temprano para adquirir los mismos…. Es decir: recibimos mucho más de lo que pagamos en realidad pues el precio es bastante económico para todo lo que ofrecen como conjunto.
La casa en si estuvo perfecta, pero pienso que lo más rescatable fue el trato de las personas, del equipo desde el momento que hicimos la reserva. Los anfitriones son gente espectacular, nuestras largas charlas y el compartir con otra pareja amiga con la que viajamos y compartimos la casa fue grandioso; éste fue el mejor viaje de mi vida.
Ya estoy ilusionada preparando mi próximo viaje y seguir con todo lo que aun nos faltó ver en Cusco… y en si en todo el Perú, pues hay mucho más en espera. En fin, animo a todos en España y a todos los viajeros a ir al Cuzco pues es un lugar espectacular y les recomiendo tomar este servicio de Casas de Valley and Life, en el Valle Sagrado de los Incas sólo asà le sacarán el 100% a su viaje… no se arrepentirán, ¡se los aseguro! -

We had vacation in?in May 2011 for five weeks based on sacred Valley Peru. Weather was mostly sunny, but very dry and hot during day and very cold at night. My two years old son and I stayed in Urubamba?for 5 weeks and my husband, my sister; my parents came in turn and stayed 1-2 weeks. Urubamba was ideal place to travel to all the ruins in sacred valley and?Machu Pichu, we also visited Cusco and Puno from there. Driving into the valley from Cusco was spectacular. Scenery was wonderful and unforgettable. House was located outside of Urubamba and we needed taxi every time we go out side of house and you can take motor cab back from town to make it cheaper, but it cost about 10 soles each way by taxi to town. But it was all worth it because house is located in beautiful location in Urubamba. You will feel all the energy of valley in there. House has beautiful garden and very clean and decorated tastefully. We felt very safe being there with 2 years old child.
One of the best things about our vacation was meeting the wonderful host; they are very friendly and very carely people. My son and I have special dietary need of gluten free vegetarian, but they were very helpful about our need where to get stuffs and eat as well. So we enjoyed every food we tried. They answered every request by us made our stay so special. They booked our hotels and transportation when we went out the town. They knew so much about the area and made sure we are comfortable and safe all the time with small child.?
I will recommend their service to anyone and if we have a chance to go back, we will use their service again. -

I work in the Sacred Valley and my family came to visit me for a week. I didn’t know about this service of vacation rentals here in the valley, as all around you find mostly hotels.
... I looked through the internet for other alternatives and found them.
From day one the managers were so great, they provided all the information I asked about the house.
We are a total of 5 people in my family, two adults and three children 11, 9 and 8 years...
The house is just great, and lacks nothing at all, is complete they told me the owners made it with all their love, watching the small details… and today we can enjoy such a beautiful house for an affordable price...
The house itself is super comfortable, has 2 bathrooms, one with tub and one with shower, a room in suite and a Mezzanine where the other rooms are, of course the little ones loved this independence!. The living room and kitchen are all integrated in a whole area, which makes the whole family to enjoy if someone is cooking, as he can share with those who are in the dinning or living room...There is nothing we lacked or missed, the equipment in the house is complete, it comes with feather comforts that warm up by night, blankets, towels, Satellite TV, DVD, films, wine glasses, can opener, corkscrew, etc., it has just all...
We had wonderful nights under the warm of the chimney sharing with my kids, moments we commonly can`t share in the big city. Also I forgot to say, the house even has a small swimming pool for the children!
If you want to cook during the days you can have everything waiting for you, as they can provide catering service, they can buy what you prefer to prepare during the days you will be staying. I suggest asking for this service as sometimes is hard to find all the things in Urubamba... especially if you travel with kids. They buy most things organic and homemade products, they can add other supplies such as butter, juice, bread, bacon, eggs, coffee and others like those.
The administrators are people of service and do everything with delight and joy, if you want them they can also tailor some of the tours you normally book in other places, only that they provide personalized service... private tours in your own private car; either you can go to Ollantaytambo, Pisac, Chincheros, Maras, which I recommend only to visit one per day, especially if you travel with small kids.
In the valley there is also an acceptable range of restaurants to try the great Peruvian dishes. In the end, this place is a fabulous destination for vacations; there are many things to do! But, you should consider saving at least a minimum stay of 5 days not to rush around.
Another important tip is that the Valley is in the center of everything, near to all mayor spots to visit…. All the four cardinal points have something to do or see: Ollantaytambo and, Machu Picchu, Chinchero, Pisac, and after acclimatization of several days in the Valley, you can go a few days in Cusco before your return back to Lima, this is ideal for your health and pocket.
If you're traveling for a few days to the Sacred Valley, couple, group or family this is the best choice without a doubt...Valley and Life offered us the best option to have a great stay!
