Santa Rosa, CALove the bungalow!
Left on 03/31/2012 for a stay in March 2012
During the first two weeks of March my husband and I stayed in one of the beachfront bungalows at Utopia, and it was wonderful. The kitchen was complete, including a microwave. We only used the coffee maker and the refrigerator to keep my chocolate cold. The bed was very comfortable, a big king bed. Air-conditioners and fans in both rooms. We spent many hours reading, or pretending to read and actually napping on the balcony in the chair or the hammock. There was a TV and DVR player so we could playback my husband's dive video each afternoon. The bungalow was a short walk away from the main building. One of the reasons we chose to stay in the bungalow was so that we didn't have to worry about noises from the other guests either next to us or above us. This was the perfect solution and we would highly recommend it.

St.Catharines, ON, CanadaOutstanding!
Left on 03/25/2012 for a stay in February 2012
This wonderful resort is definitely off the beaten path. It was an adventure just getting there and we were met with such hospitality and such luxury - it was well worth it! We were immediately welcomed as part of the Utopia family by everyone from the manager to the owners to the chef! (Thanks for the recipe Peter!) And this was especially meaningful to me since we don't dive. They were happy to recommend other things to do and even packed us towels, a picnic lunch and snorkel gear and shuttled us over to water quay (a tiny private island) for the day! The went out of their way to help us with everything we needed (especially Kyle - thank you!) We appreciated the beautiful accommodations that were so thoughtfully planned with care of the environment. We stayed in a beach bungalow and it was spectacular. It was spacious and bright, beautifully decorated and had lovely views of jungle and ocean. It included a kitchen which we didn't end up using because the food there was wonderful and it was far too fun to eat in the restaurant with the other guests! This was the only hotel we stayed in on our trip that didn't charge extra for airconditioning and we were grateful for it. It was a little far to go from Roatan for only 2 nights (we went by boat and might consider flying next time for time sake and for sea sickness sake), but definitely still worth it! What a wonderfully perfect combination of adventure and luxury. I would recommend staying here diver or not!

Concord OhioA bit of Caribbean heaven!!!
Left on 03/20/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Having visited Utila on 4 previous occasions, I can honestly say this trip was a bit of Caribbean heaven.
Our stay in one of the beautiful bungalows was amazing.Set at the edge of the resort this unit offered a large kitchen, bathroom, sleeping, and living area. Our bungalow was nicely decorated and included all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Although set off from the main resort you could be at the restaurant or Dive Bar in just a minute. The bungalow also offers a large porch with a great sunrise view of the mainland mountains.
We were also impressed with the option of having our meals at the restaurant on days we did not want to cook. Priced al-a-carte or by the week you won't be disappointed with Chef Peter's offerings. Fantastic meals and desserts.
The dive boat, crew and instructors are top notch. Our diving was stress free and the sites were all amazing. I would also like to note that our gear was completely set up and waiting for us on the boat every morning as well as being cleaned and stored every evening.
The entire staff contributed to this being one amazing trip!!!

dallasI love utopia village!!!
Left on 03/19/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Having been to Utopia 3 times before. I must say this last trip in February was the best yet. The staff was great, very attentive and customer service oriented. The chef,Peter, even made me a bday cake!! Everything seemed to run so smoothly. They've got it down.
This was my first time to go in late February and the weather was awesome, a wonderful breeze in the evening and perfect for working on my tan!!
I am not a diver, but I love to snorkel and it was nice to be able to jump off the dock and snorkel right out front of the resort. or walk down to a private little beach area to go swimming and lay in the sun.
Our beach bungalow was great, beautiful beachview and so nice to relax on the porch in the morning with my cup of coffee and read a book.
The king size bed was very comfortable, ac if you want it, nice kitchen, bathroom. I can't complain.
Anyway, I am ready to go back again!!! -

I was so impressed at how awesome this place is. The bungle has a beautiful view of the ocean, a great kitchen, large bathroom, and every convenience. My internet worked better in Utila than it does at home. The staff is great and the other guests at the resort were all really cool people. the diving is awesome, the food is fabulous from chef Pete, and I will never forget the time I had.
