Staying in one of the gites at Mas de la Bousquette was perfect for us because it rained during our stay in april. The gite is warm, beautifully decorated and big enough to be happy spending a few cozy hours reading. The hill town of Lussan, a few steps away, is perfect, and the gite is situated very close to Uzes, a lovely small provencal town, to the Pont du Gard, and Nimes, a breath taking small city with a huge Roman colliseum. Tim and Pippa have made an extraordinary haven in a great location.

We stayed for 1 week next time will be 2 weeks. Location is perfect.Must have a car.We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite was great.Tim showed us the 1 bedroom which looked marvellous . Tim and Pippa know the area and guests should believe what they say about things to see and do. We enjoyed the Mas and the pool.We took advantage of being able to go the markets and purchase food to cook at home. The suites have full, well equipt kitchens and two BBQ areas. The two dogs are friendly and love to play. As Tim would say take some down time and relax you will enjoy your holiday even more.

From the moment we arrived at the Mas we felt welcome and at home. Tim met us and showed us around making sure we knew where everything was. We met the other guests at dinner the following night, which was extremely kind of Tim, especially as Pippa was away, and this added to the ease and friendliness of the Mas. Throughout our visit Tim was available and pleased to help, including when we accidentally locked ourselves out, and when I needed to go to the local doctor.
The property is set in a stunning location and the grounds and pool are well maintained - Tim and Pippa have every right to be proud of what they have achieved.
We stayed in Le Grenier for 1 week (2 adults and 1 adult daughter), and found we had lots of space - including a 'loft' sitting room, vast bedroom balcony, and separate patio for eating. Beds were very comfortable, and there were lots of towels, blankets, everything we could wish for in the gite.
Great 'shop' where you can buy preserves and order croissants and pastries for breakfast.
In the area there is plenty of cycling - bikes available. It is indeed a wonderful, unspoilt area with small villages to visit and further afield town such as Uzes, where the market is a must, but go early. walking. Arles, Avignon, Orange, Pont du Gard within reach - easy but longish drives. This part of France is less crowded than the heart of Provence, and the pace of life is much slower. There are restaurants and cafes around, but you need to look hard to find good ones - lots of advice in the gite and from Tim!
Free wifi - great to have!
Come for two weeks - one isn't enough. Will return but am unsure the holiday could be bettered! -

Preston, Lancs.Perfect family holiday and a taste of the real France
Left on 09/04/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We stayed with two young children (4 and 2) for a week.
The accomodation is authentic and tastefully furnished inside. The Mas is set in stunning grounds with lots of shaded chill out spaces (inc. a hammock!). The pool is a good size and is very safe and clean. You can easily spend a day or two (especially with young children) just at the Mas itself (and there are loads of indoor/outdoor toys provided which have been well looked after).
The hosts are invariably on site and can supply you with breakfast or evening meals. They do a traditional welcome dinner on the Sunday evening. They are on hand for tips on places to visit in the local area (although plenty written material is supplied in the accomodation).
The village of Lussan sits on a huge rocky outcrop just behind the Mas and is stunning (you'll enjoy seeing it appear on the horizon as you approach it from the road). There are good places to eat there.
Moving further afield you are spoilt for choice. Most places to visit are within an hour's drive (you should hire a car either from the airport or TGV station). The town of Uzes must be one of the most beautiful in the whole of France, there's the ardeche river and gorge (which you can paddle in or canoe on), the Pont Du Gard Roman viaduct etc etc. If you love the outdoors there are some truly jaw dropping areas.
As a rule we don't go back to the same place twice but with this place we may make an exception. -

We stayed in Le Murier as part of our honeymoon in the south of France, and absolutely loved it. Having spent a few days on the Cote D'Azur, we were looking for a bit of 'real' provence where we could wind down properly, but not compromise on comfort. Mas de la Bousquette did not disappoint. Everything we had read before arriving was proved 100% true. The Mas is absolutely beautiful, the accommodation faultless, and Tim and Pippa are exceptional hosts. Providing just the right balance of friendliness and helpfulness, without being in any way intrusive. The welcome dinner is a lovely touch, and really makes you feel at home. Pippa's cooking is, of course, a delight. The wine tour with Tim was definitely a highlight as well, and there is plenty to do in the area, especially if you are the outdoors type. I would go back in a heartbeat! Thanks again Pippa and Tim.

Tim and Pippa are wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome. They are always happy to take time to give tips on the numerous beautiful places to visit. The Gite is ideally situated and extremely well equipped with a most sumptuous bed. Perfect after a day exploring or simply relaxing and enjoying a refreshing swim in the pool.We so enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the place. The bird watching is great and the numerous butterflies are a joy to watch and photograph. We hope to return again.

Mas de la Bousquette is a beautiful, old farmhouse in a quiet area of Languedoc, within a short walk of Lussan, the medieval town that towers above it. Tim and Pippa are wonderful hosts. They have thought of everything you need in the gites, are helpful, friendly, Pippa is a great cook (especially for vegetarians like us) and they make you feel very welcome. The gites themselves are extremely well presented and decorated. There are large grounds around the mas and a lovely pool. There's lots to see and do in the area around the mas, including the kayak down to the Pont du Gard, which was great fun! Also good, quiet roads for cycling.
I would thoroughly recommend Mas de la Bousquette, in fact we're thing of returning! -

We stayed in Le Grenier, the larger of the two gites.
Pippa & Tim are rightly proud of their achievement and they certainly run a tight ship (an English compliment!)
Despite the excellent reviews we were still surprised at the overall attention to detail - we thought we had a well equipped kitchen at home but these guys have thought of just about everything.
Pippa is a marvelous cook and we enjoyed two lovely meals with her & Tim during our stay. The gardens are extensive and beautifully designed with a myriad of different plants, shrubs, trees and flowers including well over a hundred different roses.
Animal lovers are in for a treat as well. Two very friendly dogs, several cats, plus chickens and cockerels wandering around their large meadow(they're put away at night so no very early crowing to wake you up to soon)
The pool is heated, kept very clean and is in a lovely walled garden setting in which to relax in between visiting the many local Provencal market towns, medieval villages, ancient Roman sites, etc
In summary, all I can add is that every word on their own website is true. And to cap it all, on the day we were leaving they took delivery of the coveted 5 star award from the French Tourism authority. Well done, and truly deserved.

Left on 08/24/2011 for a stay in August 2011
At the foot of an ancient hill village sits Mas de la Bousquette - a beautiful old stone French farmhouse looking out over fields of sunflowers up to the walled ramparts of Lussan. Here Tim and Pippa Forster have created two luxurious and very well appointed gites in one wing of their warm and inviting family home. The gites are very comfortably and tastefully furnished, equipped as well as a family home.
The setting is delightful and the emphasis is very much on relaxation...there are shady corners everywhere around the mas or in the beautiful grounds where you can retreat, and a lovely swimming pool with sunbeds when you want to soak up the sun. It is truly a sanctuary for all age groups.
Tim and Pippa are welcoming and thoughtful hosts entertaining guests to a delicious supper on their first night, baking bread every morning for lazy holiday breakfasts on the terrace, and are full of ideas for interesting places to visit in the immediate surrounding area. The major sites of avignon, Pont du Gard, Nimes and Montpellier are also within easy reach.
The gites should appeal to everyone from couples on a romantic getaway to families with young or older children. The whole mas is also perfect for larger gatherings. Our mixed age family group was enchanted and we will return.

We had such a good time in the South of France, staying with Tim and Pippa at the Mas de la Bousquette. The gite was wonderful - beautifully decorated with all the amenities you need for a great family vacation. The view from the living window was stunning - an enormous field of sunflowers in the foreground with the hilltop village of Lussan in the background. There are lots of things to do in the area - neat villages to explore, Roman ruins, outdoor activities. Our 10 year old son loved the wide open space, the dogs, the chickens, and the bike, and the pool. After a day of site seeing, he was able to run around and explore the a completely safe acres of the Mas. Everything was top quality. We loved getting food from the local markets and preparing it back at the gite. We highly recommend the kayak ride down the Gardon underneath the Pont Du Gard. Tim was great about helping us set up neat excursions like that. A beautiful place to stay in a beautiful area of France.

From the moment we arrived we felt at home! Pippa and Tim welcomed us with a supper that was more like a dinner party (an extremely well catered one!) with old friends. The setting was superb and they obviously work extremely hard to keep up the standard of comfort and hospitality. The garden setting and pool is without doubt something special. Pippa went out of her way to make sure we lacked for nothing and our week flew by as we attempted all the suggestions they were able to give us for the area. We highly recommend the canoe adventure! We had a wonderful time!

We have been staying in gites and villas all over France for 25 years. Mas de al Bousquette offers a completely different experience from the run of the mill gite holiday. The accommodation is both tasteful and comfortable. Every detail has been considered to make your stay as restful as possible. Tim and Pippa provide a wonderful welcome meal and are the perfect hosts. Ella and Elliot, their two dogs, provide additional entertainment(!). The beautiful and vibrant town of Uzes is nearby as well as a host of interesting little villages. If you're feeling up to a town then Nimes and Montpelier are both hold huge interest and are within reach for a day trip. Alternatively there is everything you need on site to spend a relaxing day by the pool, feeding the Koi carp in the pond or being trained by Elliot to throw his ball!! We had a fantastic stay. As a light sleeper I am still overwhelmed by having slept for an uninterrupted eight and a half hours - unknown for years. Mas de la Bousquette is a perfect haven for those who need to escape from the daily grind; not cheap but ideal for those who appreciate good food, good wine and the touches of luxury it provides.

Mas de la Bousquette is a wonderful place, and Tim & Pippa Forster are wonderful hosts. Our gite (Le Murier) is a lovely, spacious, yet intimate home for two. Bedroom delightful; main room very comfortable, and kitchen area with full cooking facilities. Gardens include relaxing seating area by a pond under a willow tree, large grass area for boules, croquet etc., pool garden for sunbathing, and a vegetable garden for herbs etc. These areas are shared with the other guests and hosts, but this seems to enhance the enjoyment, rather than detract from it.
The countryside is simple, quiet and very French, which is lovely, but does mean main shops are 11 miles away in Uzes. One ot two local places especially for veg., fruit etc.
No close local restaurants, but there is a really excellent 'close' eating establishment; namely Tim & Pippa's meals! You get a welcoming meal (with the other 2-4 guests) on arrival, and the option to have a 'Table d'Hote' meal during the week, which is excellent value. Pippa's (and Tim's!) cooking is superb.
We had a wonderful 2 weeks, which fully lived up to expectations, and we thoroughly enjoyed the company of our hosts, Tim & Pippa, as well as the other guests who shared our weeks.
We hope to come again soon! -

We had a great time in mas DE la Bousquette. The house is lovely and well furnished - every little detail was thought about and everyting we needed was supplied soon after by welcoming Pippa and Tim. The surroundings are peacefull and pretty. Our son loved to feed the fish and hens, and we enjoyed the equiped kitchen after travelling to markets in the area. Tim and Pippa were very helpful in finding our way around, suggesting useful tips and the like. The gite is surely the most pleasant and tastfuly arranged we've ever been to. Mas DE la Bousquette is a place that entered our hearts and we hope to come again.

This was our second visit to Mas de la Bousquette. In august/September 2009 we rented the delightful gites for three weeks with our family. We were all captivated by everything Pippa and Tim have created and share - an utterly beautiful mas and its serene setting in our very favourite part of France. The generous welcome, the thoughtful detail ensuring each room and space is well equipped and harmoniously designed, including the water features which add to the tranquility and a very well managed and spotless pool in a beautiful setting. Pippa's superb and imaginatively prepared meals, gorgeous German shepherd dogs, the cats, Bruno and the hens - I could continue, as all contributed to our memories of a very special holiday.
Last week Nick and I returned - this time to stay in the chambre d'hĂ´te. Pippa and Tim had told us how magical the Mas is in May - and it really is! Chambre'd'Olivier is also a very beautiful en suite room with another wonderfully comfortable bed and we felt so very welcomed by Tim, Pippa and the dogs again. We explored much more of the gardens, filled with flowers and well designed peaceful places to sit, read or just reflect! Imagine too - sitting on the idyllic shaded terrace with warm and interesting hosts, enjoying wonderful food, much gathered from the vegetable and herb gardens, surrounded by the perfumes of jasmine and honeysuckle and hundreds of tended roses, with nightingales singing as only nightingales can in May. Perhaps that is why paradise comes to mind!

This Mas (farmhouse) property is a beautiful property and made all the more enjoyable through the personal service and touch provided by Tim & Pippa Forster. We had the use of the upstairs B&B; and really enjoyed the ambience of the place combined with a service where nothing was overlooked. The highlights of our stay were the meals enjoyed inside the home with Pippa & TIm and on one occasion with other guests staying on the property. The interaction with the animals, particularly the two German Shepherds was really enjoyable for us as well as taking one of them (Elliot) for a walk in the local village of Lussan. Having a car to stay here is essential though as Lussan has limited facilties and one needs to drive to nearby Uzes to buy food and essentials. I think that next time we would opt to stay in one of the Gites and be self-sufficient. The small store provided by Tim & Pippa to cater for some basic food and drinks was an excellent idea though. The expansive gardens really make this place though and one can decide to be quite active in touring around the country-side or just take it easy around the garden and swimming pool. The information provided by Pippa prior to travelling (including directions) was a nice touch.

All in all this was excellent holiday accommodation. We went for our honeymoon and found the gite very well equipped for self catering with a useable kitchen, which is quite rare. Supremely comfy bed, decent shower and bathroom facilities. Very clean with homely touches by the owners which made it feel like a home from home. Stunning location setting with beautiful rustic grounds and gardens to relax in, and lovely views of the neighbouring hill-top village. Well maintained swimming pool area in relaxing surroundings - not too stark like some pool areas can be. Very laid back atmosphere, we never felt rushed there - the hosts were very friendly and on hand for tips on what to see & do when needed. The surrounding area had plenty of interest (both natural sights/activities and towns/cities), although there were not many places to eat out that close to the gite. However the 'table d'hote' available from the owners was most definitely something special - first class. Definitely recommended for those wishing to escape the crowds and get away from it all. We hope to return to this lovely and memorable place in the future.

We first stayed at Mas Bousquette in Oct 03. We enjoyed it so much we have returned every Summer since. The mas and its grounds are truly beautiful and with such perfect hosts, you can guarantee the perfect relaxing holiday. Tim & Pippa are always on hand to offer help and advice and cook amazing meals. One of our favourite nights is the welcome supper on your arrival day, where Pippa cooks for the guests and Tim pours the wine! It’s nice to meet the other guests and enjoy the hosts' company. It's quite magical sitting under the grapevine covered arbour on a beautiful summer's evening.
Our dog accompanies us each time we visit and we have had some wonderful walks in the area. The pool garden has some beautiful flowers and is always quiet and relaxing. With only a few guests to enjoy the pool there are plenty of sunbeds as it is never crowded. The free range, rare breed, chickens potter around the field and car park area. Mas Bousquette is perfect for any age. Even though our children are teenagers now, they still love to holiday there and spend time in rural France. It really is the place to slow down, relax and unwind. You can leave the stress of modern day life behind you whilst you take that all important break.

We are very grateful for this response and delighted to know we are appreciated.
