LA TROUVAILLE (The Lucky Find) is an 18th century stone village house, renovated with all modern conveniences. The house has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with tub and shower, a WC, living room, dining room, equipped kitchen, loggia/porch and private courtyard with an outdoor kitchen and swimming pool.

La Trouvaille is in the small, picturesque village of Sanilhac, which is 20 km north of Nîmes and 35 km west of Avignon. The village has two restaurants, a boulangerie/tea room with the best bread one will ever eat, all within a short walk. A large supermarket is less than 10 minutes away.
It is 10 minute drive to the fairly large, wonderfully artsy village of Uzès, which has all shops and services, a twice-weekly open market and plentiful festivals and events year-round.
It is a short drive to the Pont du Gard, and one can access hiking trails to the Gorges of the Gardon River from the village.

We stayed for a week, three adults, two children. We had plenty of room and were comfortable. All the amenities we needed were there. And, the house was charming. Great kitchen, large dining room table, things for the kids to do. The village of Sanilhac was too good to be true. No tourists, except us. A real French bakery that made croissants by hand daily with a small deli. The local restaurant was friendly with good food. We were in the middle of the most gorgeous part of France, olive groves, hiking trails, blue skies. Arrangements with owners were easy and efficient. The courtyard attached to the house was perfect as you can cook in the outdoor kitchen and eat. Swimming pool for warm weather. Quiet, peaceful, sweet.

This is a lovely spacious cottage in the heart of the village. It felt homely and we were very comfortable for our week's stay, never more so than when we celebrated our daughter's 21st birthday with a barbecue in dappled shade of the mulberry tree in the courtyard. The pool is wonderful!
