This one has a very deceptive description of the amenities. When a unit states that it has Tv's, one would assume that they are working Tv's. That wasn't the case here. The washer and dryer barely worked. We had to use pliers to turn on the washer since the knob was missing.

We've stayed many times and every time is the same - perfection. Can't imagine any place any better. Vail is paradise and the Christiania and Villa Valhalla her perfect companions.

I have rented at the Villa Valhalla (Christiania owned property) for the past eight years for my birthday in July. The Christiania and its staff are fantastic - the pools are wonderful, the condos are accomodating and comfy, and you can't beat the location...park your car and leave it for your entire stay! No reason to drive anywhere - walk, hike, bike all the way to Lionshead and beyond, and into East Vail. I will keep coming back every year!

We did speak to the people at the desk who were very nice. They did say that they have tried to get the owners to do some fixing up of the condo - the owners have not done it. Here's what we found:
-3 Tv's 2 in bedroom were not hooked up, main one in livingroom had no sound
-empty liquor bottle in night stand
-ratty looking bed quilts
-wet bathmat that we needed to just put outside since it was not only wet but dirty
-We had to clean the chairs on the deck in order to sit on them
-Cheezitz ground into the rug in the livingroom
-light bulbs were out in the bathroom so we had to request that they be replaced since it was relatively dark in there
The location was superb. Find a different unit to rent!! The hotel is also lovely. Very nice continental breakfast is available. -

The location of the unit can't be better. But the unit itself is really old, has not been improved at least in a decade. The kitchen, rugs, Tv's are super old and in lousy conditions. Cable TV is just the super basic plan so there are basically no interesting channels to see. Washer and dryer terrible. Dryer do not dry actually.
Cleaning and maid service from Chistiania is really nice.
I think that being such an old, without any real-amenities unit, the price shall be significantly lower. I have stayed in other Villa Valhala units, way much nicer, for the same price. -

You can't beet the location. short walk to village and ski lift.ski in to the locker room at the end of the day is great!! That is the good news.I have been staying there the past 8 or10 years and the service was only fair this year.This is a sharp decline from years past and hopefully only temporary.
P.S. I still plan to stay there. -

great location. loft area was too warm for people to sleep. otherwise, nice.
