We have stayed at the Lodge several times, always opting for a room on the lower level, with quick access to the ski room. I love being able to put my skis on just outside the back door and ski directly to the gondola. After skiing, there is no substitute for grabbing a quick drink from Jeff at the bar and heading out for the heated pool. Great way to get rid of the aches and pain. The continental breakfast is a wonderful energizer, and the intimacy of the dining room is a nice feature. I'll be back again next year!

I stayed at your hotel with my wife and 2 sons for the weekend in July and loved every minute we were there. It is in the perfect location adjacent to the mountain and close to the town square. The rooms were large and immaculate, the bathrooms were bountiful, the staff was pleasant and took care of absoluteley everything we needed, and breakfast was not too much, not too little ( The hostess even got us gluten free bagles ), The pool was very refreshing.
A pleasant get-away

Enjoyed staying in the Village of Vail and being able to walk to all the restaurants. The room was in a quiet location, and the staff were very helpful.
Although an older lodging, the room was well maintained and the bed and linens were exceptional!
We enjoyed our stay.
It's good, but needs some major renovations

My husband and I really liked the location of this hotel and pool was incredible! The place itself need some major renovations. We looked at two rooms and both of the smell like "old stuff". Breakfast is OK, waffle station would be a great addition. Sheets and towels were clean and fresh. The atmosphere - nice and friendly.

Our stay at the Christiania Lodge was lovely. The staff couldn't have been more gracious and helpful, and the rooms are drenched in European elegance. A warm and friendly atmosphere greets you the moment you enter the lodge, where you feel as if you have stepped into the austrian alps. Lovely!

Great location, staff valets your skis and took off my ski boots, friendly attentive, all the comforts and amenities needed in a ski vacation and more. I regret I didn't stay there all the years I stayed at a national chain hotel in Lionshead! Great breakfast buffet and delightful hottub and pool.
Remarkably easy and peaceful.

The Christiana was an affordable option right in the heart of Vail Village. We were literally 50 yards from the restaurant we wanted to eat at anyway, and a quick walk to the Ford Pavilion for a wonderful evening of music. We'll be back!

The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. Staff was nice. The desk wasn't always staffed. The business (computer/printer) room was scary. I wouldn't have gone down there by myself.

Lovely hotel. Staff was pleasant, room was very clean and it is in Vail Village, so close to the action. I would have liked a fitness room.
Don't trust bad reviews, this place is great.

I have read some not so great reviews of the Christiania, but my wife and I have stayed here twice and love it. The first time we were without kids, not skiing in off season, and the second time we were with kids, skiing late spring. Late spring allowed us to get a great rate, as was the case with early fall before high season. This lodge has an amazing location in Vail Village, steps from the slopes and the village action. Others have claimed the staff is unfriendly; we have not felt that to be the case. The ski storage is excellent as well, since it is a big, open room, rather than a tiny locker. Our only complaint, and this is true for basically everywhere we have stayed on the mountain, is that the room was too hot, even with heat turned off, so we had to open the windows. Still it is a great place.

We love everything about Christiania. The staff makes us feel instantly at home and taken care of. The heated pool is a nice oasis. The Bavarian ambiance is warm and inviting. The continental breakfast is delightful. This is our second stay and we liked it enough to bring friends and their children with us!
Great stay, recomendations

I would recommend placing flat screens in the rooms. Also, on several points of our weekend stay, there was no one serving the restaurant bar past 7pm.. It would be nice to be able to get a drink or to on the weekend. All in all, the location is perfect and the beds were very comfortable. Of course the location, couldn't be better.

Great value and location. Pool was fun. Breakfast was okay. Our room was on the lower level, but good for the price and time of year - Labor Day.
A needed getaway!

We absolutely love the Christiania. Staying there provides a wonderful location to the town of Vail. We enjoyed the pool, breakfast and playing cards in Sarah's lounge at night. The room was clean and the decor added to the Swiss Vail experience. Loved it and will be back!
