Arlington, VAAnother Fabulous Stay!
Left on 03/06/2013 for a stay in February 2013
This was my seventh year with my "Vail Family" at the Christiania and it was as fabulous as always, if not more! The staff are so great--always ready to help and so friendly. The room and accomodations ere superb. The breakfast was awesome--they added a few items such as belgian-style waffles and homemade oatmeal. Always get a great start to my ski day at breakfast, mingling with the other guests and staff. I made some new friends again this year at breakfast! You really do feel like part of a family. I highly recommend this charming lodge to anyone looking for a very personal Vail experience. I can't wait until next year!

I had all my kids, grandkids and friends staying at the Christiania. Everybody loved it and had a barrel of fun.
Location is unique - staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful
a few critical points below:
breakfast needs a few healthier items, e.g. plain yogurt, rye or whole grain bread etc
the pool is very strongly chlorinated
it would help to have an outdoor shower by the pool to rinse off - cold would be ok in the summer

Durham, NCTop of Bridge Street in Vail - a great place to stay!
Left on 07/12/2012 for a stay in July 2012
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and look forward to our next trip to Vail. This particular room, in summer, was perfect for us. We don't need alot of room. We do like a comfortable bed. The linens were great! We utilized the fan in our room for white noise and slept very well every night. Parking was very convenient and we walked/bussed everywhere. Continental breakfast was great and staff at the Christiania were very friendly. We look forward to our next trip to Vail and will stay at here again.

This is the second visit to Christiania Lodge. A week before we were in room 306 with lots of room with a breathtaking view of the back yard, pool area and the rushing stream. Room 103 was in the lower level without a view and a very small room. Service was excellent and the breakfast was enough to satisfy our needs. We would come back again (and probably will).

Oklahoma CitySki-in-ski-out convenience plus good value
Left on 04/07/2011 for a stay in March 2011
The Christiania offers one of the best locations in Vail village for eager skiers, only a stone's throw to the Vista Bahn lift. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy, in an alpine style. The service was excellent from the front desk to maintenance, which we needed because of a burned out light bulb. The room we stayed in was small, but reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent, although it was not included in the room rate. Parking is also priced seperately, and is not covered, so we had to clear snow off our rental car a couple of times. The hotel is also a short, convenient walk to all the restaurants and nightlife offered in Vail.

I love the Christiania!! Not only does it have an awesome location in Vail Village, but the cozy atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The rooms are very comfortable, the staff very friendly, and the ski in/ski out location can't be beat. The bar attracts a lively local crowd for apres ski. And the giant hot tub/pool is awesome. This is our favorite place to stay in Vail.

The room was perfect for our daughter who sprained her ankle during the stay. She was in the handicap room which was a help to her. Besides that, she did love the room and has requested it for next year. We were thrilled to let her have her own space!

This was our 2nd stay at The Christiana and it was again so wonderful. We arrived a bit early and were excited to able to check in. The front desk gal was so sweet and extremely polite/professional (other reviews were negative on check-in). Franco is the best. Helping with our skis and luggage was the icing on the cake. Not as young as we used to be and this was the deal maker of our entire stay. Ski in/ski out and the super warm pool are great, too.

Christiania Lodge is an older, charming hotel. The room we had was pretty small but well appointed. The entire staff was very courteous and helpful - gives the lodge a very personal feel. The price was reasonable, but the location is unbelievable. When they say it is ski-in, ski-out they actually mean it!! Almost impossible to get any closer to the lifts as well as shops, bars, and restaurants.
