I stayed in a dingy, shabby, partially sub-basement room at the Christiania last week. The room was dark,cramped, poorly lit. The queen bed mattress was in major need of replacement. The sofa bed in the sitting room was totally unsatisfactory. The bathrooms had been remodeled and were okay. There was absolutely no sound-proofing in the building and I could not sleep each night because of guests in the room above. Very poor value for money- $275 on nite and $325 the next.
The breakfast buffet was quite good however and the staff were helpful and friendly. The location is very close to the main gondola at Vail. -

The Christiania is a very friendly lodge, for me it is my second home and I am made to feel at home by everyone who works at the lodge.

We've been visiting the Christiania every summer for 13 years. We've even chosen the same room the past 5. We always enjoy our stay as the room is always in excellent shape, the weather is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. We've almost always visited in the summer but skied once in the winter as well. The Christiania is a great destination with unparalleled access to everything Vail has to offer.

The Christiania at Vail is beautiful with all it's colorful flowers and European style deco. It's cozy, very clean, my room was a home away from home, I loved it! When we arrived for check-in we were greeted by a very friendly man that was at the front desk and also on our check-out. They were very helpful with directions. I will for sure make reservations again when I am in Vail.

Christiana is a very nice little place to spend some time, and in May, the avalue was exceptional. Vail is wonderful to be at any time of the year, but May is much nicer and quieter than winter or summers. The hosts made us fell very wlecomed and looked after all our needs. I ll definately return.

We've done a week long get away to the Christiania every year for the last 10-12 years. We usually go in august but we did go for skiing once. We always love the experience. There is no better location in Vail. The staff is always wonderful.

We love the Christiana and have stayed there several times before. The only complaint we had was that neither DVD player worked (there were 2 in our suite). My children were disappointed. But other than that, everything was wonderful.
