Hamilton, NYThe heart of Vail Village
Left on 03/13/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Friendly and courteous service. Staff who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. A short stroll to the lift and with the right conditions you can ski right to the ski locker door. Quaint and reasonably priced 'old village' accommodations with easy access to dining and shopping.

Minneapoliscomfortable, clean room, in an unbeatable location.

Small, comfortable, clean room in the best ski-in/out location in the village. Great little hotel with character and friendly staff ready to serve your needs, cannot beat the ski room with valet to collect and help with your ski equipment. The apres ski is fun and warm, the breakfast is adequate. Nothing cheap, but what is in Vail?

Newberg, OregonStaying at the Christiania Lodge was like being in Bavaria again
Left on 12/14/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We received a warm welcome at this charming lodge. Having lived in Germany, it was a reminder of why we love that part of Europe so much. At the time we stayed the price was very reasonable. We loved the ambiance of the lodge and of Vail Village where it is located. The dining area was warm, cozy and very inviting. It was a very positive experience from the staff to the accomodations. The breakfast was not the typical breakfast you would get in a European Gausthaus. It was a great location in the Village with free parking across the street. That made it very convenient for walking around Vail Village. Overall it was a very good experience.

Denver, COSeveral features saved the rating for this stay!

The swimming pool amenity was wonderful, very comfortable, clean and beautiful setting! The location of the lodge was very convenient, in walking distance to the center of Vail village. The room with 2 queens was crowded and a challenge to navigate. The beds were comfortable and clean. The unit was clean and quaint in decor. The breakfast was barely acceptable. The TV service was down due to area-wide stoppage. When restarted staff was not knowledgeable with use of built-in DVD player on TV. Not adequate information on usage of TV generally provided in unit. Parking was overflowing and provided extra parking was difficult and almost impossible to access. Unexplained loud yelling in the middle of the night in adjacent unit required a call to overnight emergency number. Good that this number was available and a person answered. Don't know if they intervened. We were afraid to open door to go into hall. Next day staff knew nothing of the disturbance when I told him.

My family really enjoyed the Christiana. We had very good service from the front desk, restaurant and housekeeping staff. The rooms were clean and well appointed. It was very convenient to walk to the Village as well.

Denver, ColoradoI wanted to be away from the room as much as possible.
Left on 09/01/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Room had problems with ventilation - not much air was moving, and there was a bad smell when we checked in. Fan was needed to make the room bearable. Very loud mechanical or plumbing noises made sleeping beyond 6:30 am impossible.

Did you check with the front desk about moving rooms? We would have loved to get you into another cooler room during that time with boiler issues.... We hope you'll give us another chance...
Thanks for the feedback,

I live in Colorado Springs so I enjoy this beautiful state always -- but a weekend in Vail is beyond anywhere else -- it's relaxing, fun, lovely.

San Francisco, CASome rooms are wonderful, some not so much.
Left on 05/19/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Some of the rooms are wonderful; huge with living area with fireplace, large bedroom, desk, refrigerator, and very nice bathroom. Unfortunately, I was in a very small room, with my room door opening into the bathroom, although the price was the same as the suites. No desk, no refrigerator, no lamp by the bed. I would recommend the lodge to others but make sure you know which room you will get.

I don't think you can get much closer to the lift and restaurants in Vail Village. it was perfect for my adult daughter and myself. We hope to go back enxt year.

Left on 04/05/2011 for a stay in March 2011
Very nice place. Clean room and very comfortable beds. The room was a bit small for 2 parents with 2 teenagers. We only stayed for 2 nights but longer stay would have been uncomfortable. Breakfast and service were very good.

Best location, within walking distance to the Vista Bahn chair at a reasonable price for Vail. Friendly service, unpretentious ambience. Ski storage and ski valet are the best - so friendly and helpful. Will come back here every year.
