Denver,COWe will be back!
Left on 04/04/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We arrived right at check in on the first day of our stay. The check-in process was easy and fast. The lady at the front desk was polite and made us feel welcome. We stayed in a village view room (209 I think). The bed was really comfortable, along with all the sheets,pillows,etc... The bathroom is small. The furniture in the room is all old oak wood, which makes it feel like a "true Vail village room". I loved coming into the room with two fresh water bottles, snacks and fresh fruit! The location of the Christiana is awesome. You could throw a rock to the fountain in the middle of the village, that's how close it is. The complimentary breakfast for eight dollars a person is nice. The lady who is behind the breakfast bar is so sweet, I liked seeing her in the mornings. The breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, oatmeal, bagels, waffels, cereal and coffee and tea. I wish the Christiania had a hot tub. They have a heated pool, but that's just not that same. The apres ski bar is loud! One afternoon after snowboarding with a hangover, we tried to go back and take a nap... The bar was loud with people singing and playing a trumpet. No naps! The bar at the hotel closes around 6 I think? Any other day, I would have loved the party in the bar. They have a water and ice machine in the basement along with ski storage. My overall favorite thing about Christiania is the location. I really enjoyed our stay here. Can't wait to go back!

The first week I moved to town I stayed at the Christiania. Everyone at the lodge was friendly and very helpful. The view of the mountain and stars from the outdoor pool and hottub was very relaxing. The new gondola was situated right out the backdoor of the hotel. I couldn't have a better recommendation for the Christinia. Thanks to all the staff that welcomed me into Vail.

The old lock and key entry was aggravating. It look approximately 12 seconds to open the door every time. Annoying. Also, the parking lot with the key card that you absolutely had to return within 13 seconds of parking was annoying as well. Other than that, not a bad place!

Fine hotel. Bad Bed.
GoldenPerfectly fine place, but the bed sucked bad.

The Christiana was fine. The location was great. The bed was like sleeping in a taco. It is completely broken in the middle and may be older than my great great grandma.

Thank you so much for letting us know. There was a broken wheel directly under the bed, and our maintenance staff has fixed it. Sorry for the uncomfortable time... we do have really good beds.

I came with a group for a ski race camp. I had a cozy lovely room. It felt like Europe particularly when I had the breakfast of ham, cheese, great dark bread, lots of fruit and yogurt. The walk to the lifts was short, the staff was gracious and helpful. Loved the hot pool.

Denver, OCGreat time in Vail for a long weekend!
Left on 12/14/2010 for a stay in May 2010
We've stayed at Christiania Lodge several times in the late spring and summer 2010. We've always found the accommodations very good and an excellent value. The location in the Vllage is close enough for walking to restaurants but not too close to be noisey. The staff has always been helpful. The continental breakfast is a good start to the day. We love having Gore Creek as a backdrop to the patio.
