naples floridaour week at the Christiania
Left on 03/14/2013 for a stay in March 2013
we arrived late on a Monday night and were greeted in the front hall by the desk clerk who knew our names because in a small hotel they know who to expect, especially if you are the last guest to arrive for the night. Our room was cozy and romantic with a king size bed and a mountain view. Everything was neat and tidy. we liked the bathroom alcove where one sink was seperated from the shower, toilet and other sink by a door which allows two people to get ready for the day or evening at the same time. Breakfsat was good every morning and the breakfast attendant was polite and perky.
The Christianiaq is a 3 minute walk to the gondola, ticket windows, and ski rental area which was very convenient and an easy walk to many stores and restaurants. The afternoon bar and evening cocktails was also fun. -

We had a great anniversary weekend at the Christiania Lodge. The room was very cozy and the lodge is within walking distance to the village. The continental breakfast was very convenient. Only complaint is that the TV was extremely small which was disappointing.

Nothing beats the long-standing charm and personal touch of the Christiania Lodge. On the 3rd floor we slept with the deck door open and could hear the river rushing by as well as get a breeze on those hot July nights. Bed was super comfortable. Love the location. It was an easy walk to the Ford Gardens and amphitheater for concert-going. Love the free breakfast! Kept our bikes inside in the ski valet. Perfect.

This is simply the ultimate in what my husband & I care for.
The people, ambiance, decor, ammenities, location, etc...
Gives the true charm of an "era gone by"
Your luxurious pool at just the right temperature along with jets, our bodies give you another thank you !
Debbie running the front desk & reservations is a sweet heart !!! The true skill and joy just radiates from her ! Laughter is the best medicine, so along with a getaway, we also receive medicine, "laughing" and we thank Debbie! There are so many others that I would sound as if I were receiving an academy award in naming alll the wonderful people involved in your lodge that always bring a smile to our hearts! Housekeeping "coming from a homemaker & grandmother myself" know how to pleasantly please us !
We cannot thank you all for accepting us as your guests in your lodge & keeping the true meaning of skiing that you have so lovingly cared for !!!
Helmut and Sara's bar with Jeff in attendance cannot be rivaled !
Sincerely,
Suzanne Simmons

It doesn't hurt to start with you were kind enough to offer a rate for my one night visit. The circumstances of my presense were unfortunate and unique. I was coming to Vail to spread one of my best friends ashes on the mountain. He died 3 weeks earlier on opening day of Vail in a freak accident.
I skied Vail for the last 30 years and many were with Charlie. As we all know he will be missed and not forgotten. -

Once again, the Christiania provided a welcoming, comfortable, and affordable room; a staff committed to quality customer service; and all the appropriate ammenities. It was a pleasure to stay there again - and I will do so again on my next visit to Vail.

Left on 08/24/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Staff was accomodating & courteous. Our room was clean with a beatuiful view of the mountain. C. is with in a 1/4 of a block to Vail village and bus services. Car is parked once you arrive and not needed until you depart. With the exception of the first night where there was a party going on to all hours of the night in the room next door- we had a very relaxing and wonderful stay.

Evanston, ILCozy and close to mountain
Left on 02/23/2011 for a stay in February 2011
We always enjoy our stays at the Christiania!
The only negative that is beyond the control of the management was the noise coming from the rowdy people outside of the hotel on the mountain side. We think it was echoing from the Mexican restaurant nearby as well as people wandering along the ski in/ski out access trail.
We found our room to be a bit too warm at night, thus we had to open the window for cool air. When we closed the window the noise level diminished however it was too warm to sleep. All in all, though, the situation did not negatively impact our vacation or our desire to return to the Christiania. -
