We have been staying at the Christiana for about 40 years! It is always friendly, accomodating and oh so convenient to the village! We are very comfortable here and love meeting new people from all over the world at the complimentary breakfast.

Okay if all you're planning to do is ski/board...

Left on 09/26/2012 for a stay in September 2012

My fiancee and I recently stayed there and it was a very cute, cozy hotel. The great parts are the breakfast was yummy, the pool/hot tub was nice and big. They also provided separate towels for the pool so you didn't have to re-use the same ones from the room. Bad points:
--TV was very outdated and very hard to watch
--Mattress was old and we both seemed to fall towards the middle all night.
--Parking. While they have their own lot, you have to pull up, go inside, get the key, go back to your car, and then go park and bring the key back. It was tedious and got to be quite annoying by the end of our stay.

Other than that it was great, convenient to the village and very friendly staff!

It is a quaint alpine style hotel with beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful hotel. The accommodations were nice. Wonderful old world style of Europe. The only issue was that there was no air conditioning in the summer months when it was in 90's (F) - cooler at night so it wasn't that bad.

One of my favorite places to stay in Vail

Left on 06/21/2012 for a stay in June 2012

I love staying here. The lodge is very quant and rooms are well appointed (very Bavarian). It is quiet here and the location is excellent. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. The only thing I had a problem with was the WiFI. For those of us who (unfortunately)cannot go on a vacation without being connected, the wireless connection is terrible - very slow if available at all throughout my stay! When I checked out my complaint was dismissed by the front desk clerk who said "everyone in Vail has this problem".

Tyrolean style lodge close to the ski slope and Vail Village. Very comfortable room with excellent service and a generous breakfast. Sunny outdoor deck off the bar/breakfast area and well tended pool. A touch of Europe in america.

We stayed two nights at the Christiania and loved the wonderful staff and location right in the heart of Vail Village. The flower baskets, warm pool, comfortable beds and free breakfast were all enjoyed. The price and location cannot be beat.

      Nice accomodations!

Left on 01/26/2011 for a stay in January 2011

I had a very enjoyable stay this year at the Christiania. Actually this was my 3rd year there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer a continental breakfast for an additional price. The lodge is located next to the slopes which makes for a great ski in-ski out situation. The only downside was that the pool (which is heated and has jets to simulate a hot tub) did not quite have the hot tub jets experience that a real hot tub would have. They had a nice complimentary wine/cheese happy hour and also provide entertainment on some nights. Overall I would recommend staying there and will probably stay there again.

Charming European hotel in superb location

Left on 12/14/2010 for a stay in December 2010

The Christiana is ideally located in Vail Village, not in the center of all the activity, but just a few steps away, and offering ski in/ski out convenience to the slopes via the Vista Bahn lift. This is not your cookie cutter "branded hotel." It offers the charm of a European bed and breakfast, with a family like atmosphere and wonderful customer service focused staff.

Loved the place. Person in room next to me coughed the whole night so I got little sleep, but that is not the fault of the hotel. I loved the place!
