Featured in the New York Times, the Russafa district is a bustling, bohemian colourful place to explore. Russafa is just off Valencia’s main street, Calle Colon, and the dome of the historic Estacion Norte which is next to the bullring, can be seen from the apartment’s balconies. Crossing Calle Colon will bring you to the spectacular City Hall square and once through the square you will reach the cathedral and basilica. Strolling a few minutes south of Russafa, you will arrive at the stunning, modern architecture of the City for the Sciences and the largest aquarium in Europe. Almost on the doorstep of the apartment is a vibrant local farmers market guaranteed to please foodies and wine buffs. Take in the sights and smells of stalls with hanging Serrano hams, sausages and local cheeses, fish and shellfish from Valencia’s harbour, locally grown fruits and vegetables and paella to take out. Many of the stalls have good, local wines too. The market is ideal for self-catering and the kitchen in the apartment is well-equipped. Russafa is a great place to enjoy Spanish food and Valencian delicacies, as there is a wealth of little restaurants, tapas bars and street cafes.

We went with four of our family to meet up with the rest of them in Valencia. This apartment had only just come onto the rental market and we were very lucky to find it. Its location is perfect, in a quiet street 10 mins walk from the railway station and 20 mins from the center of Valencia. It has absolutely everything you need for a self catering holiday and comfortable rooms. Georgina and George are very helpful and will assist in anyway they can. If you need a rental you can rely on, pick this one, you wont be disappointed.
