Villa Alexandrou is a old stone house over 110 years old and it was fully renovated in 2001, with a great respect for the original Cretan Style, building material are mostly in stone and wood construction.
The style is tasteful and simple with an elegant touch.
Immediately you fell the famous warm Cretan hospitality once you open the huge wooden gate and enter the private courtyard, full of flowers, pots and plants. Like a little oasis in the center of a real Cretan village, where life seems go in a stress free rhythm.

- In case of a cancellation less than 8 weeks prior to arrival, 40% of the total cost will be withheld.
- In case of a cancellation less than 3 weeks prior to arrival, we reserve the right to withhold 100% of the total cost.

We feel so lucky to have found this house - it was so beautiful - ancient yet modernly equipped and so comfortable. And did I mention beautiful?
The village is small and charming, set in a wonderful landscape - a few minutes away by car from great beaches. The pools in the house were just great.
The owner - Emmanouel Michelakakis - was superb, helpful and inviting.
Highly recommended. -

I have traveled a ton with my family growing up and this is by far the coolest place i have ever stayed. The house is architecturally exquisite and the layout is perfect for a group of friends or multiple families. Although the location is a bit off the beaten path, it lends itself to ideal relaxation and truly is a "Getaway". Some form of personal transportation is needed with a car being ideal however my seven friends and i were able to make due with bicycles. The best beach in all of Crete is relatively close especially with a car. There is also great hiking in the area and you can take a bus to any city on the island to explore all the best that Greece has to offer. While the house is amazing, the man who owns the place is even better! He went out of his way to ensure we had a great trip and was a major help in planning our day trips. My friends and I came to the house looking for a place to enjoy a relaxing spring break before returning back to school for finals which was exactly what we got plus so much more.

We have had a very nice time this beautiful house.
This is quite well located between Chania and Rethytmo, not far from the beach.
The house is very nice quiet, fresh has having big walls. The owner of the house is friendly and helping with good advice. We were testing the olive oil and raki he produces.

After spending 2 amazing weeks at this beautiful home with 7 of my friends, I cannot say enough!!! It's perfect for big groups with lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. This home is located in an excellent place to relax and retire after a day in the city!! The view is breath taking and the amenities are fabulous! The home is extremely well kept equipped and very very clean. I must say the owner Manoli was very accommodating and also recommended some great restaurant!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!!!

We, a mixed group of three girls and one bloke, went on spec at the end of October. The weather was not great but Manolis could not have done more to make us welcome and at home in what was once his grandfather's house - a classic, and in some parts, 500 year old manse.
Comfortable, well equipped ( all en suite) and sympathetically converted for modern needs. There is a private and jasmine scented courtyard. The house is in a village off the beaten track with the advantages of all that. Obviously you will need a car to explore the area. It was all very comfortable - a Greek experience and we all would like to go back for summer days.
