We stayed in this residence for new year (2010-2011)... It was the cheapest one we could find... Shawn described everything in detail for me, and Booking was done via internet... We checked in early in the morning (8 am), and checked out early (6am)... Shawn was really helpful.. In one night that the heating system was not working, we called him after midnoght and he answered right and 10 minutes later, the house was warm...
The only downside of this place, is its location.. It's a little bit far from downtown... It takes 10 minutes or so to walk from house to skytrain and 15-20 minutes in skytarian to reach the downtown... If you rent a car, then there is no problem at all... All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for affordable and clean place to stay... -

We had very good time in oak suite, it is a great place to stay in Vancouver, close to everything.

We had stayed in this suite on 2 occasions and were very happy with it.
The 1st thing I noticed when we step into the suite the cleanliness and we could immediately tell that it is well maintained.
The main room is large and fitted with a queen-sized bed and the smaller had a double-sized bed. We have 2 young kids and they fit into the double nicely.
Each room has a working desk, a phone and wireless internet is accessible at all times.
The kitchenette has portable induction cooker and rice cooker. We used it almost all the time to make simple to moderate meals.
The shared laundry with dryer wraps up the whole package nicely.
The property manager is very friendly, helpful and responsive. Since we were new to Vancouver, he also showed us all the ropes.
The location is about 3-5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop and 5 minute bus ride to the nearest sky train.

Our stay was perfect in every way! Shawn and Steve was very hospitable, the Suite itself is very nice, well designed and comfortable. It is also centrally located, and it was really easy to get to the restaurants and night life from it. In short, we really enjoyed our stay, and would certainly stay at Oak Suite again.

The location is great. A short walk around the corner will take you to bus stops and further down is Canada Line. One room is spacious for a couple travelling together and another one room will be suitable for a single travelling alone, but we travelled with children so the rooms just suit us fine. The suite is clean and easy to maintain and for those on longer stay, it comes with in-suite laundry . There was a kitchenette to prepare simple hot meals and comes with most items one would need - fridge, coffee maker, microwave oven, stove, toaster and utensils.
The service was extraordinay. The property manager came to meet us for check in at earlier time than expected on short notice and even came with information on where to find groceries, shopping, parks, etc and even provided with us a map (as we are new to Canada). What we like best is the location and price. Overall, the stay was pleasant.
