This spacious suite, recently renovated with all new furniture sleeps 1-4 including the queen pull-out sofa. This apartment was very cute, very clean and very conveniently located close to groceries and the Skytrain. Bonuses: The Wifi worked great, and there were coffee, tea, sugar, shampoo and towels available. Plus, the owner was very kind!
I would recommend this place without hesitation. -

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel right at home. The owners were ready to answer any questions we had or offer advice about what to see in Vancouver. The apartment is comfortable, spacious, tastefully decorated and easy to spend time and relax in. The bed is comfortable and the queen size sofa bed was surprising comfortable (more used to the uncomfortable kind). The location is near Commercial Drive, but especially close to buses and Skytrain so it was easy for us to get around to everywhere in the city. If you are visiting Vancouver this place will definitely make your stay more enjoyable.

Stayed for 6 weeks in this well proportioned garden flat. Location for us was ideal being close to family we were visiting. There is also good access to Downtown Vancouver from the nearby Skytrain station at Commercial & Broadway. Local supermarket also next to the station for those self catering provisions.
The accommodation itself has all amenities you need. Good sized living room with TV, computer with Internet access, DVD player and radio, good sized bedroom with excellent storage wardrobe. Heating available for those colder nights from October onwards. Large bathroom with lovely mosaic tiled walk-in shower. Well equipped kitchen with basic cooking facilities to make your own meals and large fridge freezer to store food.
Owners Devorah & Franco are a very pleasant couple who were more than happy to provide help when needed.

While the suite is located in a beautiful residential area, it is close to commercial area and public transportation hub, which makes it an ideal place to stay in Vancouver even without a car. The owners are very very hospitable and helpful. One day we had problem with the wifi while Devorah and Franco were out of town. They responded to our email promptly. Since they were out of town, they sent their daughter to help fix the problem. And she could not be more helpful either... She left her phone number with us in case we needed more help.
All in all... Very good.

We spent four nights in this cute suite located in the Commercial Drive neighbourhood. The suite was nicely decorated with an artistic, vintage feel located on a very quiet street. The beds were quite comfortable. The living room had a pullout sofa bed that I anticipated would be uncomfortable as is typical for pullout beds. But it was suprisingly very comfortable! There is a small kitchenette which met our needs for a light breakfast or bringing takeout food back for dinner. The only negative about the kitchen was the microwave didn't work very well. We tried to make popcorn but had to give up since it didn't seem to get hot enough. The bathroom was wonderful with the creative tile shower. A few extra hand towels would have made it even nicer. The location of the suite was good for our needs. We took the Skytrain several times to get downtown, which was much nicer than driving. It is about a 10 minute walk to the station and grocery store. Also there is a lovely park a very short walk away. Unfortunately, we did not get to meet the owners, but I communicated with Devorah many times via email, and I always got a prompt response. We would be pleased to stay there again and found it a wonderful alternative to pricey hotels.

Not only the ceiling was low, the bed was small too.

Our suite has been enjoyed and rated highly by visiting guests since 2010. We even have repeat guests who have stated that the suite is perfect.
It is unfortunate that your experience was not the same as others and that we were not there to have welcomed you. In knowing that, we communicated often to be certain you would be aware of this and that all would be in order upon your arrival, including a way to contact us if needed, which never happened.
Prior to arrival, all guests are offered a choice of a double bed or a queen sofa bed. In this case, the guest chose the double. If the guest would have contacted us to let us know it was too small we would have directed them to sleep on the queen size sofa bed that always has clean linens on it as a backup.
Regarding the height of the ceiling, they are 6’8” high. There is one beam between the living room and hallway that makes the entrance to the room 6’ high. We do hang a small ornament on the beam to alert taller guests. Its possible that someone removed it as has happened in the past.
Regarding the kitchen being poorly equipped, we do appreciate receiving suggestions for what items are missing. Most guests tell us there was everything they needed. Though we try to anticipate what guests need, sometimes we miss something and appreciate the suggestions.
Regarding the difficulty in dealing with us as owners, we provide a Guest Information Binder and leave it on the kitchen table. We provide guests all the information they need within this binder and are also available by phone to clarify any questions, should we be away during their stay. Prior to the guests’ arrival, we respond to all e-mails immediately and in this case, went out of our way to find an alternative way for them to pay in order to avoid hefty Paypal fees. In the end there was no better way and we offered to share the fee, which we did. We also returned the damage deposit within 24 hours though the contract states it could take up to 14 days.
In the end, I’m sorry your experience in our suite was not the same as the others who have stayed with us. This is a wonderful suite and we want to make sure your vacation experience is uninhibited. If you have any further questions please contact us and we will be happy to address them.

We stayed at Devorah and Franco's Suite Dreams for 5 nights while visiting Vancouver and could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. Devorah and Franco truly did think of every little detail to make our stay enjoyable (right down to cloth farmers market bags available by the door) and it felt like our "home" for the week. We stayed with our two kids--ages 4 and 6--and they had ample space indoors and out to play with their toys and stretch their legs in between touring. So conveniently located too--easy to get to the SkyTrain (even with kids) and easy to drive to places further out. We loved it! The Trout Lake Farmers Market is not to be missed. I shall dream of those crepes at the food truck there for many moons...

Location: Ideally situated close to Commercial/Broadway area. Shopping, banking, groceries all close by.
Perfect for an extended stay as kitchen is well equipped,bed very comfortable, living room wonderfully decorated and just the perfect place to unwind. Very quiet neighbourhood, a horticulturalists delight. Walking the manicured pathwaysa delightful daily experience. Trout lake and farmers market, just steps away. A great place for a vacation. We're steady customers having been back twice. Definitely a keeper!!!

The location was great. Walking distance to shopping and public transportation. Vancouver is 25-30 minutes away by SkyTrain. Devorah was enjoyable to talk to and we had everything we needed. I would recommend Suite Dreams to anyone. Please note that it is not handicap accessable.

This was a great little apartment to use as a base for exploring Vancouver. It really was minutes from the centre of town on Skytrain and well served by buses too. A local supermarket right by the train station was very convenient for shopping on the way home and restaurants on commercial drive are plentiful and varied.
Franco and Devorah were very friendly and helpful but also left us to use the space privately. They had put together a file of useful information about the area.
We struggled initially with how to work the heating and would have been cold had the weather been more extreme. The sitting room heater never seemed to come on but the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were comfortable.

We traveled with a young child and found there to be plenty of space and good facilities. The owners were very helpful and provided lots of information about the area.
We enjoyed our stay, the only thing that was disapointing was the oven did not work which is one of the reasons we wanted a private let rather than a hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Suite Dreams. The suite is beautifully designed and appointed. Devorah was extremely helpful providing directions and information regarding our destinations in Vancouver. We particularly appreciated being in such a quiet, safe neighborhood that's so conveniently close to the Sky Train. Not having a car with us, we found it quite easy to take the train to most of the places we wanted to visit.

Devorah and Franco were very friendly and helpful at all times. The appartment was very clean and comfortable in a safe, quiet area. My hosts were even more helpful and installed a computer which greatly helped with communications with my family and friends! The Skytrain to downtown Vancouver was 5 minutes walk from the house so it was very easy to visit the city. There was a bank and a Safeway store nearby too and a very attractive park with lake. I enjoyed my stay there very much and congratulate Devorah and Franco on their welcoming house in such an attractive neighbourhood.

Booking was a breeze. I arrived late at night, and was pleased to see coffee, tea, and the makings of breakfast provided. The suite is very comfortable, in a great neighbourhood, with lots of opportunities for walking. Commercial Drive is a 10-minute walk away, as is the nearest Skytrain station. Devorah and Franco are very accommodating, and have created a cozy little suite. Thanks!

We absolutely loved this little place. It was really clean, had all the amenities. It was great to have a yard for kids to play. We took the train to go downtown - it was really convinient, short nice walk to the station and then only 5 stops or so. The place also had lots of books about Vancouver and vicinity. And WiFi was a big plus as well!

We had a great time staying at the 'garden suite.' If you have one child or two children who don't mind sharing a bed, they can sleep in the bedroom while you have the rest of the suite to yourself. Neighborhood is quiet and there is a park nearby (check out the Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings). It is a 10-15 minute walk to the Skytrain (can be rough on small children who have been on their feet all day), but there are closer bus stops once you get use to the system. I found the nearby "Commercial District" to be very cool, but it may not be for everybody. There is a Safeway right next to the Skytrain platform. Very bicycle friendly part of town, so bring your bikes if you can.
Look forward to staying there again the next time we visit. -

Check-in was extremely easy and the owners were very welcoming. We felt encouraged to make ourselves at home and use the backyard/bbq whenever we wanted. Devorah and Franco were very knowledgeable about the area and gave us loads of useful tips---especially useful for finding lots of kid-friendly places.
The suite was clean and comfortable with plenty of space and pretty much everything we'd need.
Good location on quiet residential street--but still only 10 min walk to skytrain (which runs every few minutes and takes 5 mins to city centre). Great for a family who wants to take advantage of nice backyard and quietness, but who doesn't want to be too far from the action either!
Fab stay...would recommend. Much much much better than a hotel! -

If you don't want to be with all the other tourists downtown and want to stay in a neighbourhood and have a garden to use, this is for you. Close to Commercial Drive and the Skytrain station, it is easy to get around. The owners live above the property and are helpful and friendly. There is wifi.

A charming walk down the side garden to enter our suite. The sweet smell of flowers was very relaxing. Our hosts were vey friendly and helpful with directions, with suggestions for a place to dine and a neighbourhood greasey spoon for breakfast. Loacation was fantastic, as it was close to everything we needed and was easy to transport to and from. The apartement was nicely decorated with very comfortable beds and during our stay it was very hot out however the apt. stayed cool and was great for sleeping. All around, our visit was enjoyable and I will definitely return again.

Spent 2 nights and couldn't get over how comfortable the pull out queen bed is. No funny springs, just deep comfort. Also a fabulous showerhead in a creatively and tastefully decorated shower stall and bathroom. Loved the combination of fresh, modern renovation with retro decor.
Easy walk to the Skytrain which goes downtown, to the airport, all over. -

My recent 4 day stay was lovely & peaceful. I had an opportunity to sleep in both the bed & pull-out sofa and both are extremely comfortable. The sofa bed was one I had never seen before, it truly turned into a real bed. For me comfort is key. The shower stall is a work of art (literally)...you get a true Vancouver vibe. My trip downtown took 20 minutes including the walk to the Skytrain. The walk itself is lovely, going by all the beautiful gardens. The owners are genuine, caring people who want to ensure your stay is a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I stayed at Devorah & Franco's 'Suite Dreams' on a recent business trip to Vancouver and I appreciated the personal touch.
