“Absolute Paradise!” I was currently travelling the world at the time when my partner came out to Fiji to see me from the UK. It was a journey and a half for him- but it was totaly worth it. This place is so special and has the perfect balance of feeling luxury and having all the home comforts that you would need. The property has so much character, completely one of a kind. I really couldnt fault this place, and the memories of staying will stay with us both forever. Thanks Brad & Theresa who helped make our visit once of a lifetime! x

Beachfront Villa - Pod House, Complete Privacy with Marble Plunge Pool
8 nights of Pure Perfect Bliss!!! Exceeded our Expectations!

On arrival to the Pod House, I was blown away by awesome the property was. It exceeded what we expected. It looked like this was a home right out of a Home Decor magazine. Very well decorated, giving you the Fijian feeling. The King size bed was very comfortable with high grade linens. Spacious shower with separate toilet and double sinks were a plus. Had Pure Fiji toiletries to shower for a few days. The kitchen was as well stocked as my kitchen at home. As my husband & I love to cook, t this was very important to us. We bought our Fresh Fish / Lobster, Fruits & Vegetable at the Local Market which is a few miles down the road. We even had a barbecue to use. We did take a few siestas on the Daybed by the pool... was very private. As it was winter there, the pool was too cold for us Floridians to use, but was lovely to look at. We could not get enough of the spectacular views in front of the home. You could see miles and miles of the bay with an extinct volcano in the background. Every night there were spectacular sunsets to watch as you sip on a glass of wine from the veranda. Easy walk to Cousteau Resort where you can dine and take Dive trips if you like. There also a famous snorkeling Coral Bed called Split Rock that you can walk to. Taxis are abundant and cheap to use. We did rent a car to explore more of the Island. I recommend this only if you are use to driving on the left side of the road. As my husband was there for business, he needed to have High Speed Internet. The complimentary Wifi was great to have & worked well. The Fijian people are the happiest people in the world! Loved how they say "Bula" with a smile everytime! I highly recommend that you do not stay on the main Island - go to Vanua Levu to experience true Fiji! Privacy with incredible views!

The House of Bamboo has dreamy views that constantly keep you pinching yourself to make sure you really are there! The home is peaceful, private and comfortable. Brad & Therese caringly maintain this immaculate home so that when you arrive you feel as if you are their first guest. There is oodles to do from bathing in the private pool, reading in the hammock, watching a dvd, or feasting on your purcases from the market. Savussavu town with restaurants and shops is a short taxi ride away or a really good walk. The House of Bamboo is a place that we constantly dream about returning to. … see more
