Warrington, United KingdomSuperb location - great place to stay to explore Rome
Left on 04/11/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We really enjoyed our stay in Plum. The location was truly excellent - you can see the tops of the colonnades of St Peter's Square from the end of the side road the apartment was on. Getting there took 5 mins and to the Vatican Museum - 20 mins tops. The 64 bus goes along the road outside which takes you to most of the sites and the railway station is just around the corner.
There is a lovely restaurant just round the corner which offers 10% off to Plum occupants.
There is a large Carrefour supermarket just up the hill - 2-3 mins walk which is well stocked with fruit and veg, fresh and cooked meats and a fish counter. Don't be put off by the cashiers in there who throw the receipt and your change at you. I thought they were hilarious and made a change from the false customer service we get in asda, Tescos etc. I smiled at them and that seemed to help.
The flat itself is very cosy and warm. It was ideal for us as the bedrooms were a good size and there was plenty of hanging space (although very few drawers). The blinds make it very dark at night if you need that and I thought it was very quiet. My husband said the outside door was noisy with people coming in and out but I didn't hear anything. The beds were really comfortable.
We prepared quite a few decent meals using the hob and microwave - although space was limited.
Having two bathrooms was really handy too and the showers worked well and provided lovely hot water.
Don't forget to bring a tea towel with you or buy some kitchen towels. I was disappointed that there were no souvenir tea towels to buy anywhere - must be an English thing.
We have to give special thanks to the owner who was there on time for arrival and departure and always responded quickly to emails. In addition, on our first day she averted a disaster by tracking down my daughter's favourite soft toy which the cleaner had removed by mistake. Thank you so very much. -

DoesburgSuperstay at appartement Plum

Plum is an excellent appartement in the center of Rome.It is in the middle of the neighbourhood were the Italian people live, you drink your coffee just around the corner.
We came by car from the airport Ciampino about 1 hour drive.
The appartement is near the center of Rome, walking distance to the Vatican. For other sightseeing, the bus stop is just around the corner. The appartement is big enough, clean, modern and has his own parking place.
The owner is very helpfull and speaks good English.
If we go back to Rome we want to stay at this appartement.

It is an apartment decorated with taste and equipped with all the comforts, close to St. Peter Cathedral.
Quiet and suitable for families, for couples and for groups of friends.
From Termini Station there is a bus that stops near the apartment.
