This bright, airconditioned apartment in the hills behind Nice, is on the garden level of a villa situated within an easy drive of the historic city of Vence. Surrounded by a large garden with olive trees, palms and oleanders, the apartment has its own smaller private garden and terrace and use of a pool with views towards the old town and surrounding hills.
Quiet and secluded, yet only a short drive from the glittering Mediterranean or typical Provencale villages in the hills, it has the best of both worlds - rural or the resort towns of the Riviera.

The apartment is located within easy driving distance of beaches and mountains and a 1-2 hour drive to the Mercantour ski resorts of Isola 2000 & Auron. It is possible to go up to the ski slopes just for the day. A couple of golf courses are also within a 30 minute drive. Winter sees Christmas markets in every village and town, the larger ones being in Cannes and Nice.

Well appointed, views of Vence and the mountains, just five minutes to the supermarket and resturants. near enough to the sea, but not too near.
A car is needed. -

The villa is very confortable, and is great to return to after a day of traveling.

It is truly difficult to describe such a wonderful place. Mike and Ferriel made us so welcome and were very gracious hosts. Believe the pictures, the place really is that stunning. The views are beautiful, the pool is a perfect place to relax and let your worries melt away in the glorious sunshine and the house is very well placed for excursions to an array of great beaches, picturesque towns and historical sites. We were with our 3 year old daughter and it was great for her too. Comfort was excellent and I can truly say, hand on heart, that there was nothing I would change in my holiday there. Simply stunning.

We stayed in this apartment for a week in august/Sept and it was an absolute delight. Great location near the beautiful town of Vence and Saint Paul, and a good spot for exploring more of the coast. We visited Monaco, Cannes, St Raphael, Cagnes Sur Mer and Nice all without any difficulty. There are also bakeries (with delicious cakes) and supermarkets nearby (10 mins drive) so you never have to go far to get anything you need.
The views from the apartment pool are absolutely stunning , and the pool itself and private garden are great places to relax.
The apartment is a lovely home away from home and is more than comfortable. Michael and Ferriel were perfect hosts and we definitely hope to return in the future!

We recently spent a fortnight in the garden apartment at Li Magnan, and we can highly recommend it.
The apartment was light and airy, and the private garden and pool were a delight.
We took full advantage of the facilities, which included a laptop with internet access and free calls to UK landlines.
We particularly enjoyed our days in the mountains, which included a visit to the spectacular hilltop village of Gourdon.
Ferriel and Mike were excellent hosts, and they made us feel very welcome.
For us, the combination of climate, culture and cuisine has made this a holiday to remember.

Mike and Ferriel were most welcoming, and the apartment was much more than we expected. Beautiful views, very spacious for 2 people and great facilities. The pc withe internet acess and internet phone with free UK calls was very useful. We were a little concerned about only having the hybrid microwave for cooking, but after a little instruction from Ferriel we did not find it restrictive, and the frozen microwave meals we bought from Picard were excellent. Mike has obtained a gas bbq with gas ring for sole use of the apartment for future vistors.
Vence is easily accessible by car and there are many other delightful towns and villages within easy reach. (Sat Nav is recommended)
We will return, and would highly recommend the property to couples of any age.

Villa Li Magnan offers peaceful surroundings, absolute comfort, spectacular scenery and easy access to the well known and less well known parts of beautiful Provence. Owners, Ferriel and Michael, offered such a warm welcome to this beautiful accomodation that we immediately knew that we had booked the right place for our first holiday with our 6 month old baby . The spacious garden apartment (extremely spacious for France) has great facilities (washing machine and dryer, large fridge, cooking facilities, barbecue, satellite TV, free internet access, free use of internet phone - as well as a private garden and terrace and a lovely swimming pool with superb views) and is spotlessly clean and comfortable. 10 minutes drive away is the lovely historic town of Vence which has all you could ask for - a bustling market, cafes, boulangeries,cultural sites, supermarkets, banks etc and easy parking - we went virtually every morning before returning to the pool!
The accomodation is also just half an hour from Nice and perfectly located for exploring other beautiful towns and villages such as St Paul and Tourettes sur Loup.
This accomodation is perfect - whether you want to relax by the pool or explore Provence, with friendly owners who couldn't have made us more welcome. Very highly recommended.
