The Westside of Los Angeles is the most desirable area, and you can't get much farther west than 1/2 block from famous Venice Beach. Cool ocean breezes keep this spacious apartment comfortable, so no air conditioning is required (very few Venice Beach residential buildings use a/c). We love this area for the eclectic mix of people, the wonderful sea air and the fun, carnival atmosphere of the boardwalk. The walkstreets of Venice provide a tranquil getaway from the fun mayhem, just steps away! Just two blocks to the east is trendy Abbott Kinney Blvd, with wonderful restaurants and shops. Your timing might be right to catch a street fair or glimpse a celebrity!
Please note the following reservation, deposit, payment and cancellation policies for the Artist's Loft and Art Gallery residences: one-half of total rental fee (plus tax) is due at time of booking to secure your reservation; payment balance (balance of rental, tax and exit cleaning fee) is due upon arrival; if cancellation, including revision to length of stay, is made prior to 21 days from arrival date, we will make full refund of payment in the form of original payment method; there will be no refund for cancellation or revision within 21 days of arrival date. A $1,500 fully-refundable security deposit (to be applied to damages to the property, if any) is required at check-in via credit card authorization or cash. Upon check-out, the apartment will be inspected within 24 hours. If damages are found, you will be notified by email of repair/replacement cost, and photo documentation provided where possible. That cost will be deducted from the authorization amount, which will then be charged, and the balance of that amount will be refunded to the credit card provided.

Central location for jumping off to other areas of la or going to the beach, roomy open space, excellent mattresses mean a good night's sleep. A balcony in both the front and the rear and a patio area with a barbecue. A well equipped unit that includes a washer and dryer, dishwasher, gas stove...all that is needed to feel like home. Owners are responsive...just call them with concerns or issues and they are quickly resolved and yo can enjoy your vacation!

This condo was great for our family stay in la. We had 3 adults & 4 children. The location is perfect, just a short walk to Venice beach which has an unusual charm, we loved just going for a stroll & checking out the characters, it was so simple & nice not to have to drive anywhere. The kids loved the goings on at Venice. The owner was very accommodating & went out of her way to make our stay pleasant. We have small children & a cot/crib was provided for us at no extra charge. Having a car spot was good for us as parking is tight around venice beach. There are 3 bedrooms of average/comfortable size & a good size well equiped kitchen & your own washing machine & dryer + a dining room & lounge. The shower is great! We would definately stay here again.

I stayed in feb 2012 with my Mum and Dad who are in their late 60s. The apartment was lovely, spotlessly clean with lovely comfy beds and a comfy sofa too. There were lovely fresh flowers to greet us and adrian made us feel very welcome and gave us some helpful tips about the area. The apartment is a couple of minutes walk to Venice beach and all beach stuff is provided. The beach itself is beautiful - miles of golden sand. The promenade is very busy at the weekends, lots of "characters",but a lot quieter during the week. It's a very pleasant walk to Santa Monica pier and to the farmer's market. There's loads to see and do in the area, and the main tour companies can just pick you up from a nearby hotel if you want to do a tour. We did the all day Universal Studios tour with Starline and the return bus transfer was free! All in all we had a great time and can highly recommend this apartment.

The art Gallery is a roomy 3 bedroom 2nd floor apartment with 2 decks, a full kitchen, 2 full baths, all important off-street parking, and just a 2 minute stroll to the carnival of Venice Beach. The first and third floor apartments are also available for short term rentals. We were a family of 5 (including teenage kids and an elderly parent) staying there for 9 days, and had generous space and privacy. The furnishings are newish, stylish Ikea, plus 2 state of the art TVs with cable. The feeling was one of clean lined comfort and simple elegance. We thought that the beds were especially comfortable, enjoyed the strong showers, and appreciated the beach towels. The kitchen has everything you might need, and there's a new full sized stacked washer and dryer. Adrian could not have been more responsive and helpful, without being intrusive. She and her husband do not live on site and do not pop in unannounced. She had great ideas for visits consonant with our interests, and texted occasionally to make sure we were happy. This is an impeccably clean, quiet, lovely, safe and secure apartment, decorated with a selection of photos and art curated by the owners. We thought that it was super convenient to the freeways, Abbot Kinney strolling and dining, and more urban enticements of Santa Monica-- an excellent base to explore both the coast and la's downtown. You can also rent bicycles from the owners for much less than the local bike shops, and take advantage of the 20 mile beach bike path. We hope to return, and have no reservations about recommending this apartment as an excellent price/value combination.

The art Gallery was a tremendous experience. The owners was prompt in every aspect of the process, from booking, to check-in and even assisting us with renting their bikes. The apartment/condo was clean and had everything we needed for cooking, going to the beach, or just relaxing on one of two great balcony patios. It was also wonderful to have the garage for the convenience of parking as well. I would highly recommend this location to anyone!

We really enjoyed the art studio apartment. It was cozy, homey, and in a great location to the beach and Venice. We opened the windows and let the fresh air in at night and we slept like babies. Felt very safe and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks adrian for your hospitality. The Durbins

My son arrived early and made contact with adrian. He was able to take care of all the details so that when we arrived we only had to start unpacking our bags. The flat was very clean and had all we needed for a pleasant vacation. It was just a short walk to the beach.There was a lock up garage so no problems with parking. Adrian called round with her husband and a book for me as we had the same surname. We are not related as far as either of us know but we spent a very pleasant half hour in their company. I can certainly recommend The art Gallery.

We stayed at the art Gallery with 3 adults and 4 children. It was first class from the moment that we first contacted them, through our 5 day stay, and follow-up. The accommodations are expansive with 2 balconies, large living area, and it was very clean. The location is perfect and the garage handles 2 large vehicles. The neighborhood is perfectly situated steps from the beach with multiple markets and restaurants nearby. We will definitely return.

Despite arriving very late we received a warm welcome from the guys. The apartment was perfect for us and our 4 year old daughter, with the beach being so close that we didn't need to carry everything down with us.
The apartment has everything you need, along with a great gas grill that we used nearly every night. Also the sofa was perfect for relaxing on in front of the fire during the cool nights in March.
Had an amazing time and we can't wait to come back. -

A great apartment - very close to the beachfront and all the allures of Venice Beach are within easy walking distance. Santa Monica is also walkable. The two sun decks are a distinct bonus and the varied artwork lends the apartment a unique personality.

Great access to the beach to see all the stalls on the front. 20 mins walk up to Santa Monica pier and 3rd street shopping. Secure car parking.
Living area was great to relax in, with TV and wi-fi.
The master bed was very comfy and the kids found their beds likewise. -

This location is superb. Midway between Marina Del Rey and Santa Monica and a comfortable and interesting walk to both. The beach is as lively and off-beat as ever. Admire the talented skateboarders and bodybuilders, too! The apartment is nicely appointed and the beds are most comfortable. With a lovely balcony off the master bedroom overlooking a delightful, tropical garden below, who could ask for anything more. Adrian and Stephen added that personal touch which makes you feel immediately at home. A very satisfying and memorable experience.

We had a terrific stay at the art Gallery condo. The living room and dining room worked great for our family get together. All of the beds were extremely comfortable. There was a pack and play and booster seat for our granddaughter. It was great to have a washer and dryer. The beach was just a short walk.

My family and I stayed here for a week in early october 2010. We used it as a base for our sightseeing tours of southern california. With five adults and a young child, this apartment was the perfect size, without feeling cramped. It is well located with easy access to the beach and restaurants and also the freeways. Thanks to adrian, who is a great host. Would highly recommend this property.

This apartment is just perfect, we all loved our stay there.
It's just one block from the beach, and it's in an extremly quiet neighborhood !
We were staying 5 people in this apartment and that was perfect, there are two balconies really pleasant to enjoy the californian weather.
Adrian and Stephen are really nice people, they'll do everything to help you out.
We're so sad we left this apartment, we're dreaming to come back.
I can't wait to go back.

Perfect! This is the word that repeats in my mind when I think of this wonderful apartment located half a block from Venice Beach. I needed a place for EIGHT! people, since a large family of friends from Japan was visiting California. So, my wife and I, plus my six Japanese friends, stayed at this place. It was the best choice: less expensive than a hotel, also less impersonal. Immaculate kitchen, beautiful garden, large garage (believe me, this a great bonus if you're in Venice Beach), and TWO balconies. I didn't even need to break my Internet addiction: the place has WiFi. Again: perfect! Note: the place is ideal for six people, but if you need to squeeze two more, it can be done. (You will need to pay a bit extra, all very reasonable.)

You cannot beat this location. You are literally a 3 minute walk to the Venice boardwalk and beach. Kids will love the sights and sounds of the boardwalk with the street performers, skateboard park full of incredible athletes, the famous gym at Venice Beach, etc...not to mention the beach itself! We found several great restaurants within a 5 minute drive. The art Gallery was a great choice for us to stay at. We had 3 adults and 5 children and never felt cramped at all. Brand new flat screen TVs, a balcony, large kitchen, many utensils, coffee maker, comfortable couch, cool art decorating the entire place etc...too much to list. And the hosts were very accomodating, helping us get logged on to the Wi-Fi and recommending places of interest. We will be staying here again!

This is a modern, newly-renovated 3BR, 2Ba, fully furnished condo with two balconies, two parking spaces and wonderful art (possibly for sale!) on a highly sought-after pedestrian walk-street in Venice, Ca. It is literally 99 steps to the beach! It can sleep 6-8 people and is within walking distance to activities that can entertain both parents and kids, during the day and evening. Furnishings include the full spectrum of beach necessities; the landlords are wonderfully personable and helpful. I recommend this property highly; anyone who rents it will not regret their choice!
