Casa Karmina is one of the few Venice Beach Houses right on the sand; available for vacation rental, weddings, parties and as a film location. Better than a hotel! The list of amenities is accurate. Casa Karmina was a very nice place to spend a few days.
I'm not going to rehash the amenities.
Casa Karmina is perfectly-situated just 200 feet north of Washington Blvd, which is home to great restaurants, a Cold-Stone Creamery and a Starbucks. A few slightly-overpriced markets make stocking up for your stay a breeze. You pay a little for the convenience. You're also a 10-minute walk from the more famous and zany parts of the Venice Beach Boardwalk. Traveling with kids, this was preferable while remaining close-enough to easily enjoy when we wanted.
While Casa Karmina has its own bikes for use during your stay, you can also rent bikes at a shop a mere 30 feet away on the beach. On the C.K. premises you'll find bins of Rollerblades, numerous Boogie Boards, beach toys, scooters, wagons, even paint thinner for removing the occasional tar smear from your feet. The property managers are friendly and in tune with their guests' needs. When I noted that the child's bike on hand could use training wheels, new ones were purchased and affixed by the next morning.
The place has a lot of usable space. The rooftop deck and always-hot hottub provide great views and lounging. The deck immediately off the living space has ample comfortable seating and is perfect for people watching. The downstairs courtyard area is new and clean and welcoming. And literally steps from the sand. The pier is a one-minute walk and makes for a great evening or morning stroll.
The property managers' responsiveness is a product of living in the back of the premises. As a result, she was present more than I would have expected. That said, though, she simply couldn't be nicer and it in no way detracted from our experience. -

Our party of 6 middle aged men had an great visit to la and having an awesome homebase like Casa Karmina was a big part of the reason. A boys' trip that included baseball, surfing and general tomfoolery wouldn't have been anywhere near as much fun without such a great place to stay. There were a few minor inconveniences but Robin (the owner) made great efforts to make sure everything was sorted out right away. It felt like we were visiting with friends.

A stay at Casa Karmina is truly an unforgettable experience. Situated by the
Venice Beach fishing pier, it is on the more quiet part of the Ocean Front
walkway... lanai balcony, rooftop jacuzzi, courtyard garden, fully furnished
desk with wireless internet and ocean view: everything necessary for an
inspired and perhaps productive stay in this beautiful part of Los Angeles. The
charm is also in the small details (beautiful upright piano in entrance / living
room, fireplace, boat-style second bedroom) and in the warm welcome by the
owner and her family.?
