Description from the manager
An absolutely stunning two bedroom apartment with TWO terraces in an enchanting location overlooking one of the prettiest canals in all of Venice. Peacefully situated right next door to the Church and Convent of the Eremite and opposite one of the most historic and well-known restaurants in the city, ‘Locanda Montin’.
Completely restored in April ’09 to the highest of standards and in exquisite taste throughout, Ca’ Dell' Artista is on the second (top floor) facing the Rio Delle Romite (sometimes known as ‘Rio Dell’ Eremite’ or ‘Canal of the Hermits’ in English) and offers air-condit...Read more

BristolI Wish it was mine - a great place to stay
Left on 11/03/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We have stayed in Venice several times over the years, and are familiar with the Dorsoduro area, so opted to stay there again as it is both quiet and excellently situated for the accademia Bridge and the Zattere. If you want to stay in Venice, I really don't think you could do better. Other apartments I have stayed in have been tiny - this was a wonderful space. We spent a lot of the time admiring the polished plaster walls, and feeling guilty about enjoying being in the apartment when we should have been out sightseeing.. We ate on the terrace several times - it doesn't overlook the canal, but that's rather difficult to overcome architecturally! I would mention that there isn't an oven other than a microwave, but there is a very efficient gas hob and it didn't affect our ability to enjoy the best of what the Rialto market had to offer. We did not feel that the steps to the apartment, which is on the second floor, were too onerous and we managed them easily with our rucksacks.

Left on 08/29/2011 for a stay in June 2011
This is a gorgeous apartment. It is located around 10 minutes from Venice's main piazza in a lovely quiet residential (non touristy) area.
The apartment is up a steep flight of stairs and has a lot of open space though the second bedroom is quite small. It has many windows so very light and simple classic furnishings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment and would recommend it to others.

This apartment was everything we hoped it would be and perhaps more. We were not familiar with the area the apartment was located in and so were a little pensive as we were staying for 4 weeks, but it turned out to be great. A short walk to academia Bridge and the Railway station as well as easy access to the vaporetta's. Discovered the best Pizza's in the world on the waterfront (Zattere). The views from the apartment were fantastic. The service from Views on Venice was excellant they assisted us with any inquiries or problems that we encountered with enthusieum.
Overall a great apartment and one we would certainly like to return to. Already planning!Response from Views on Venice - 03/16/2011

The apartment is in a quiet location with many great restaurants nearby. There are two good supermarkets within easy walking distance as well as a variety of smaller shops. It is in a great spot for sight seeing as it was very easy to get to different parts of Venice quickly. It's a very comfortable apartment and well equipped. We just loved our stay and can't wait to visit again.

Columbus, OhioEscape the tourist crush in authentic Venice neighborhood
Left on 06/08/2010 for a stay in May 2010
The four of us, my husband, our son and his wife, and I loved our stay in Ca' dell'Artista. The apartment was attractive, roomy, and comfortable, and everything worked perfectly. It was a treat to come home from each day's sightseeing, getting away from all the tourists to our quiet, lovely neighborhood where we felt like "real Venetians." Despite the peace and quiet, the neighborhood had plenty of its own sights, shops, and restaurants to keep us busy for a week. In fact, though we had planned to cook in the apartment, we actually ate out every evening, enjoying the several good restaurants nearby.

Delighted to hear that you and your family had a super vacation and found Ca' Dell' Artista an ideal base for unwinding (and dining out!) after a busy day's sightseeing. I must say that so much thought went into the layout and comfort of the apartment when it was renovated last year that it's fantastic to hear that it was all worthwhile! Thank you for taking the time to let us know how you got on and hope to see you in Venice again soon.

UKVery good location and enjoyable living space
Left on 10/15/2009 for a stay in September 2009
We realy appreciated the location of this appartment. it is close to the Grand Canal and supermarkets and shops but is far enough away from the bussel of the very tourist areas around San Marco. Great value restaurants near by and lots of vaporretto stops. The kitchen, dinning and sitting area were well laid out and equiped.
There was wireless broadband but we could not get the password to work. The terrace at the front is not really usable apart from standing to look out for a view of the canal below and the other terrace is awkward to get to and overlooked by the neighbours windows. The master bedroom was very spacious and well equiped and the twin was a bit too small for two adults. The washing faciliites were very good bath and shower and having a washing machine was a great addition.
Best thing about it is the location and worst thing is the lack of shelves in the bathroom.Response from Views on Venice - 04/07/2010
Manager
Many thanks for your very useful review of Ca' Dell' Artista. I am now pleased to advise that as a result of customer feedback, the apartment now has a direct doorway leading from the kitchen to the larger of the two terraces, so allowing guests easier and more convenient access to outside space for dining and relaxing 'al fresco'. Hoping to welcome you back to Venice in the future and thank you once again.
Ciao and Best Wishes

Hilton Head Island, SC"Ca' Dell'Artista" and Views on Venice was a fabulous holiday ex
Left on 09/17/2009 for a stay in August 2009
We rented the apartment at "Ca' Dell'Artista" in August 2009 and could not
have been more pleased. From our initial e mail contact with Views on Venice
to check in and check out, details were handled efficiently and everything went
perfectly. The apartment was exactly as represented and clean! The staff went
beyond the minimum to insure we had a great stay, even arranging a water
taxi to and from the airport and giving us restaurant recommendations. I have
worked in resort property management for years and I know how challenging
it can be. My compliments to the staff on a wonderful holiday stay. -

NorwayBeautiful apartment with a great location
Left on 06/30/2009 for a stay in June 2009
We were a group of friends who really enjoyed our stay at the Ca´Dell
´Artista.
The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, has a spacious and airy feel to
it, and very conveniently has two bathrooms of good standard. A big plus is
the private terrace with table and chairs, allowing for refreshing breakfasts
or soothing evening meals outside. As we were walkingaround town and on
the Venice Biennale-premises all days long we actually enjoyed relaxing in
the apartment and eating dinner on the terrace a couple of the evenings.
The Billa supermarked is only 8 minutes on foot away, so this makes self-
catering easy if this is desired.
The location on a lovely and quiet canal slightly away from the busiest and
noisiest streets adds a local feel to it, and with vaporetto stops only 4
minutes away on foot, and the Piazzale Roma bus station 15 minutes away
it is easy to get to and from.
The staff at Views on Venice was very helpful and service-minded
throughout the whole of our correspondance with them.
I will definitely recommend this apartment for anyone who wishes a
beautiful and comfortable stay in a charming part of Venice.
