We really loved staying at Casa dei Pittori. We travelled during winter with 12yo and 6yo children, stayed in the first floor 2 brm apartment with a little balcony, and found it was warm, comfortable, clean and spacious. We found dealing with Francesco very professional and helpful. The location on the canal was beautiful and we enjoyed being close enough to walk easily to the main tourist attractions with children, however not too close to feel like we were in a busy tourist area. We loved watching the canal life with many boats passing by our windows however if you don't like being woken up early from boat traffic then this may not be for you, but we loved the atmosphere. It was an easy walk to Santa Lucia train station too. There is a small supermarket close by as well as many local stores to buy meat and delicatessen foods. The market is also within walking distance and well worth visiting for fish, fruit and vegetables.

From being picked up at the bus station till the moment we left the keys on the table and slammed the door behind us there was really nothing substantial to complain about. Helena and Francesco were/are very nice. Casa dei pittori is strategically situated and well renovated and Ca' Guardi is tastefully furnished.
You wouldn't regret spending your Venice vacation there. Give it a try! -

We enjoyed it very much, especially the terrace to the canal.- A nice quarter with little bars and good restaurants, not crowded with tourists. A supermarket is within a reach of 5 minutes, also a bakery, very rare in Venice !

L'accueil a été parfait, la possibilité d'accoster directement au pied de l'immeuble est très appréciable. Le quartier est central, tout en restant à l'écart de la cohue touristique. Tout peut se faire à pied ou en vaporetto. Une supérette sur la place san Giacomo répond aux principaux besoins de la famille. de plus, la place est très agréable et les restaurants proches sont accessibles et chaleureux.
Les petits déjeuner en terrasse surplombant le canal resteront dans nos souvenirs. les chambres sont très pratiques, et tout le nécessaire (lave-vaisselle, lave-linge) est à disposition. le hall du palais est pittoresque et invite au voyage. -

We have stayed here 2 times and just love the apt. The apt. is wonderful with everything we could possibly need. The location is incredible. We love to do our own cooking and we love the kitchen. And eating on the terrace is wonderful. Love watching the boats go by in the canal. The owner has always been there for us if needed. We will stay again when we return to Venice.

Sehr nette Unterkunft in einem Palazzo im Herzen von Venedig, bestens geeignet für 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder; gut ausgestatte Küche, Zimmer sehr ansprechend; wunderbar ist die Terasse oberhalb eines Kanals - wärmstens zu empfehlen!

The first week of september I rented two appartments,
the topfloor Dimora Tintoretto and Ca'Guardi.
I celebrated my sixtieth birtday with my 3 children
and friends and other family.
We had a lovely stay, the appartments were wonderful
and the big terras on the top floor was really great
to overlook Venice with a glass of wine!
Next time when I visit Venice I like to stay again in
La Casa, beautifull appartments in a beautifull city.
